In Darkness we must Fight (Non-Canon)

Following behind [member="Ultimatum"], he thought about the other parts of the galaxy. If this was what's required to bring stability back to a planet, they had their work cut out, but he had a feeling that his new metal friend had some tricks up his sleeve. Stopping and sitting atop his bag, he would scratch some dirt off of his rifle, making the surface gleam.
"Not too many, just the usual for the Kathol Outback...I once did a job where we detained the legend [member="Connor Harrison"]..know him? Yeah...Oh...who lead the group... Ah yes, a Herglic by the name of [member="Ghorua the Shark"]...perhaps you've heard of him too?"

The Kathol Outback was a power that Ultimatum had not heard of, at least not much. There had been many galactic powers before the power loss and Ultimatum had not been able to focus his attention on even a quarter of them. His abilities could be stretched only so far. Ultimatum shook his head apologetically while he responded, "Unfortunately, I do not recognize either of those names. Either it is locked in some HoloNet satellite or I have never heard of them. What did they do? What were they like?"

As he spoke, Ultimatum pulled one of the memory sticks and attached it to his body so that he could save the information he learned so that it would not take up his hard drives. He then turned his attention to look skyward, by the calculations it was likely to take another five to ten minutes before the ship was in position to send down the rescue ship. Until then they would need to wait and talk through the time.

"Well, Ghorua is a beast of a man, huge, rippling with muscle...and Harrison...he's a legend...a great Master in the Force." The thoughts made memories swell back up, most good, but one too many were bad. Snapping out of it, he would watch as the droid plugged a small device into himself, like a hardrive of some sorts. Also looking up, he would enjoy the scenic Orange/purple sky that was a setting sun.

The beast and the legend. Ultimatum couldn't say he connected either of those to the names, though he recalled there being others that he had known who had fit the description. It was just one more memory that was cut off and he had no idea where it was in the galaxy. Each HoloNet satellite had its own section of the HoloNet backed up in it. Because Ultimatum was an AI built into the HoloNet he had parts spread throughout. This led to the fact that he could only remember bits and pieces from one area of his mind.

"Apologies for bringing back unwelcome memories. I only recall so much of the time before the event and that is part of the reason that I am searching through the satellites." Watching the sky he pointed towards a point far off away from the sun, "There, the comet looking light is our exit." As he spoke it appeared as if a meteor was burning the atmosphere heading their way. It was actually a small fighter entering at high velocity. Ultimatum calculated it would be a minute or so before it got close enough for the landing to begin. "Perhaps the least effective method of leaving a planet. Pretty soon it will begin slowing down when the rockets kick in."

Looking up as [member="Ultimatum"] spoke, he would shade his eyes, the small shape coming into view. Their exit ticket wasn't exactly what he was expecting, despite the droids previous description of the craft. "Where's the larger ship? I can't see it from here, maybe your receptors are better suited for looking into the sun."

The last part was said as a joke, but not entirely. The trip back up was for sure going to be bumpy, but he'd be fine as long as he didn't look out the view port. Yes, despite being a rather good pilot, he had a fear of great heights, that's why he never looks back.

Ultimatum would have smiled at the question and semi-joke. He replied as the ship got closer, a burst of flame could be seen, apparently elongating the shape of the comet. "The ship we will be traveling in is in orbit, it can not enter an atmosphere because it would be unable to get back out. This is merely a transport to that vessel. I hope you do not have trouble increased G-force."

The ship continued to slow until the flames around it died and it appeared to be a fighter once more. It's rockets continued to fire until at last it was about 100 meters away and barely gliding. It struck the ground and its landing gear rolled as it slid towards them, coming to a stop a short way off. It appeared to be some sort of bulky fighter with rockets stuck to the front. The cockpit opened up and a ladder popped out. Ultimatum moved to the craft and began making his way up the ladder, motioning for [member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"] to follow. It was a two seat craft, with most of the space filled with fuel tanks and basic necessities for survival in a vacuum, including a pair of oxygen masks. "Not the prettiest thing that ever traveled the stars, but a good deal better than nothing."

All the droid said made sense, and when the ship thundered down to them, he would admire it, for it had been a very long time since he'd seen a operating starship. His of course, was destroyed when the power went out, he was about to leave this planet to reach the Outback, but without warning, the ship started to plummet down towards the planet's surface. Luckily, he crashed within a few miles of the villages, and his armor played a big part in his survival.

Bringing himself back to the present, he followed up the steps behind @Ultimatum. He was right, it wasn't beautiful but it hopefully got the job done.

Ultimatum took the front seat, the one intended for the pilot, and immediately began preparations for lift-off. Not quite as quick as the pre-powerloss fighters, this one had taken about five minutes to prepare which was why it had been ready since the day he had dropped to the planet. The greatest fear Ultimatum had was that the impact would damage some part of the ship that he could not repair or work without, effectively trapping him on world without any method of letting the people above know what was going on.

The other seat had back up controls, that were not made to function unless some fault occurred within the primary controls. Ultimatum had almost always taken the role of main pilot. There was just too many potentials that could go wrong and he wanted to only be able to blame himself if something went wrong. "So once this is in the air, we will be attempting an exit velocity. Steady curve towards space, there should be enough fuel in the canisters to take us out there and give us maneuvering abilities to get to the main ship." Ultimatum watched as the air canisters filled. The ship in orbit didn't have a fully functional life support system and every time they reached a planet they would fill air canisters to be filtered and then used in the ship. "So did you have a ship before the power?" Ultimatum asked as he waited for [member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"] to get himself ready.
