Improving Roleplay [Discussion & Poll]

Hey everyone,

I apologize for my absence as of late. I intended to make a post in this forum but it seems I only made on in our FA forum.

I am currently house-sitting for my parents so I haven't been around to post very often. However; now that I'm starting to get things under control I aim to be back up to 100% and fulfill my obligations as the Faction Owner.

One concern I have is that I've noticed that there's not a lot of initiative being taken place.

By this, I mean most of our active threads--that I'm aware of--are being started by our Faction Admins or myself.. After making some observations I also believe this is the leading cause for why some of us are not finding our muse within the faction.

Honestly; I'm lost for ideas. So I'm reaching out in an effort to see how I can improve the faction. What can we do to make it easier for you all to enjoy your characters as members of our faction?

Of course to reinforce my perspective I'm also going to politely ask that you answer the three poll questions above. Unlike usual they're not anonymous because I'd really love to be able to address these issues with each and every one of you as personally as I can. Of course, if you don't desire this then just say that you'd rather not discuss it in a reply.

I want to add this as a comment:

I've written with the Red Ravens, the Republic, and the Rebel Alliance. I haven't been a member of this board for very long, but the Primeval is HANDS DOWN my favorite faction. I feel like I have a level of creative autonomy that I just don't in the other factions, which isn't to knock them. It could just be that my muse is stronger with this character or I feel I have more liberty in which to take him wherever he might go or end up.

Of all the factions, this is probably the first one where it was faction members who reached out to ME (not vice versa) with roleplay or thread ideas. I've felt welcomed and wanted ever since I first joined.

Really, I can't say enough good things about my experiences so far. And kudos to all the folks who make this faction, its stories, and all come to life.

I seem to not be allowed to vote, but I will let my two cents here.

My lack of muse comes more from my personality and trying to give to to many characters at once. Real life comes into pay with it as well. Primeval as a faction is an awesome idea, I like the juxtaposition from the more mainstream factions. I look forward to roleplay with you all!

This holds true for me as well. It was odd at first to find myself recruited, but it felt nice to know that people other than the ones I were writing with were reading my posts.

My biggest issue with getting more involved is just finding that first step. I'm still crawling with this concept, but once I get moving I'll be running with it.
