Imperials Loved Capitalism! [Carida]

| [member="James Justice"] | [member="Galven Solomon"] | [member="Caius Flavian"] |

The Imperial Remnant had fallen. The Galactic Empire was dead. For Alicia, this was something that had already occurred in her life. But that was a dark secret, never to be revealed. Suffice to say, however, she was used to the disappointment that came with men and their plot to revive the charter of the New Order. Luckily, however, she knew a scoundrel, who was always eager to help and who hadn't failed to deliver on his promises yet.

Having just departed the Herald of Retribution, following her meeting with Commodore Flavian, Alicia was acutely aware that in times of change, there was a need for quick and decisive action, if one was to emerge victorious. She had successfully manipulated the Commodore into signing over the Imperial Remnant's assets via the contract that they had both signed, but she knew that it would take more than a written agreement to secure her physical assets.

It seemed that after a very long and boring start to it's life, Imperial Arms Incorporated was going to have a very interesting future. As far as Alicia was concerned, the Imperial III-class Star Destroyer she had just vacated, as well as the other ships above and around Carida, belonged to her and her corporation now. The Imperial Remnant was dead and she would keep what she helped to kill.

Transmitting to James, Alicia leaned forward in the seat of the Initium to ask, "Are you in place? The agreement has been signed. Let's finish this."

This was James' type of paper work; paperwork at the end of a turrbolaser cannon. He had made an offer to buy these ships, but due to paperwork, it wasn't happening. He wasn't about to let these fall into the wrong hands, the hands of an empire, a tyrant, or worse. His fleet was now in orbit over the world Cadira, under the control of his grand admiral @Stardust.

How many ships had come? hundreds. Hundreds of hundreds. 2 Wasp B Heavy Cruisers, 4 Shadow-class Cruisers, 2 Hammerhead Cruisers, 200 Meridian Frigates, 20 AT-360 Light Freighters, 20 AT-120 Freighters, 200 Switchblade fighters, 20 Annihilator Class Boarding Shuttles, The Siege Breaker, a Skira Class Heavy Cruiser, 2 Umbara-class Carrier Cruisers 2 PulseFlare-class Heavy Cannon Cruisers, 2 Haranuliik Class Light Frigates, 2Uluruur Class Frigates, 2 Nynir Class Heavy Frigates. And that was just of the Justice Shipping fleet.

It was a massive fleet to say the least, that if laid end from end would be enough to circle a few planets. The spacer wanted this to end peacefully, he had tried to be reasonable, but those involved refused. Now he would give them one last chance before taking what he had offered to buy. That was the way it had to be it seemed. The spacer pressed the comm unit on his wrist active, "Aye, I am ready when ye are, moving in to take what is ours."

His whole fleet began to converge in on this. The spacer hoped this would be bloodless, that reason would sound. But few dictators were ever willing to hand things over when facing overwhelming odds.

"Prepare all weapons," he ordered, "sheilds to max. We be ready to have fun tonight, boys."

A signal suddenly alerted over the communication systems of the Initium, an open, unencrypted message was coming through.

"Greetings, I heard you were going to make a pick up of some precious commodities. I thought, perhaps I could assist you." The comm continued, "I am Galven, leader of GOMM. I come with able bodies."

Just as the comms ended, hyper jump sensors began picking up ships jumping in, three signatures. Just as they began to warn three ships hopped out of hyperspace; Two Virgil-class Corvettes and one Gladiator-class Star Destroyer. "Tell the escorts to await further orders, continue our transmission."

The comms crackled over again. "Thousands of men at the ready to board the vessels in question. For now, we await your orders. But be warned, I do not want to engage in too much warfare, I do not want to lose these men. Not one." Galven said, waiting for a response.

Alicia activated the Initium's cloak, disappearing from physical view. She refrained from activating the PDF device, as that would sever her transmissions with James. The cloak would be enough, she sensed. Speaking into the intercom, she said, "What ship are you on? I'd like to board. Let's keep in mind that the crews on these Destroyers and Corvettes have just lost their jobs. No need to get too trigger happy- too excited, or virulent as you could say- when we can avoid firing a single shot."

Virulent. It was an inside joke. "Also, keep in mind this is a Republic world. I think we've karked off enough people today."

Or I've karked off enough people, Alicia thought to her quietly.

//To Galven Solomon.

I nor my associates can be held accountable for any losses you and your forces may sustain, as these vessels transition away from the now defunct Imperial Remnant and into new hands. However, based on the inquiries you made prior to making your way to Carida, I will allow you to take two Victory III-class Star Destroyers, in return for a favor that I may call upon you and GOMM moving forwards.

"We wouldn't blame you for an accident we caused, but we will not take any orders I deem too dangerous. In any case, we thank you for the permission to assist in this mission and the items we may leave with. I await further instructions, we will wait."

James gave a laugh at Alicia's comment, "Virulence comes afterwards, dear, if ye behave yeself and be a good girl." He rubbed his hands together before lighting a cigarette, "Time for an unforgettable entrance, love. This is how you do grand."

The spacer's fleet came to crest over the rim of the planet, bringing the Victory-III's and their fleet into view. James could only imagine what they were thinking at the moment as the ships of Justice Shipping continued to keep on coming, and coming and coming in a seemingly endless supply of power and tonnage. Even still the spacer had a fair portion of his fleet waiting in the wings should something go awry and he needed a surprise assault. After all, only a fool shows their full hand in a game of Sabaacc.

"Halt just outside of firing range," James ordered.

"Yes sir."

A few moments later the fleet had stopped. James grabbed a set of high powered binoculars and gazed into one of the Star Destroyer's bridges. The chaos and panic, the mad scramble was so real it was incredibly funny. He looked to another. The Officers on this deck were busy gawking, pointing and shouting at each other. On another the crew were filming with their datapads and commlinks. That one genuinely made James bust a gut laughing.

"Any signs of hostility, mate?" the spacer asked.

"We show some powering up of the weapons, sir, but nothing substantial. These could be electrical errors on their side or interference," one of the officers on deck reported, "Shields are being raised."

James nodded, "Very good, mates," he re-activated the link to Alicia and Galven, "Alright, mates, I got their attention, what's the play? Tell em to stand by?"

Galven nodded as he watched through the viewports of his Gladiator-class, seeing everyone moving into position. "I will stay in the back until you give the all clear, Mister Justice," he said as he heard the comm spark up, "Until then, rest assured I will not be sitting this fight out. I have fighter and anti fighter support at the ready. When you punch a hole or give the all clear, my Virgil's will move in to dock with my fighter support."

"Give the order to the Virgil's, and us, to power shields and weapons. Get the soldiers and their fighters ready." Galven said, off comms. And like that, as the orders were given, the siren went off as everyone began taking their battle positions. Shields rising and weapons powering up.
