Strengths:
- Hangars: Unlike the original Ton Falk, which only possessed a single large prow hangar bay, the Mark II possesses a total of four hangars doors. These allow for the Ton Falk to deploy star fighters from various points of egress rather than funneling them out a central hangar door and into enemy fire.
- Armament: Despite carrying more turbo lasers than its predecessor, the Ton Falk would still be outgunned by any dedicated ship of the line.
- Speed: The ship is sluggish, but maneuverable. It would be outpaced by any pursuit ship.
Description: The Ton Falk II is an escort carrier designed to transport a large complement of star fighters for quick deployment in defense of convoys, or allied star fighters. A typical complement consists of four squadrons of TIE/IN or TIE/PR fighters, one squadron of star wings, and one squadron of bombers.
This vessel is part of the 7th Fleet Initiative, which aims to furnish the Galactic Empire with a series of modern, combat ready warships to better protect Imperial interests.
Perhaps most noticeable about 7th Fleet Initiative designs is their incorporation of SORCE turbolasers, purchased from Silk Holdings. The SORCE model allows ships to consolidate their barrel count while maximizing energy output. Meaning that while 7th Fleet designs might sport fewer guns overall than contemporaries, their broadsides do no less damage.
