Description: This massive facility, located in the asteroid belt surrounding Peragus II, was built for extensive mining of both the asteroids and exposed core of the planet. Not only did it mine the large asteroid the facility and its modules were on, but it had the capability to grab and drag in new smaller asteroids to mine.

Due to the volatile nature of the fuel surrounding Peragus II, the Empire needed miners with the most experience dealing with this specific job in order to successfully profit from it. Despite being cheap for its size, the Empire could not have afforded the resources and time to continuously rebuild it in the event of an accident. This is where the near harmless droids came in, yet having experienced human handlers, administrators, and mechanics ensured the least amount of failure.

In order to convince these miners to continuously work in the Peragus Facility while not attempting to desert or feel unmotivated, the Empire built the mining facility to accommodate a limited number of families. The Empire allowed the families to purchase modules for certain amenities, such as schooling, wellness centers, and other things required for a community. Only the spouses and children of workers were allowed to join them, and usually children that grew to legal adulthood to evicted and told to join the work force for the Empire. Due to not having a major accident on Peragus in a lifetime and that the reasons why Peragus II had a massive gash going into its mantle being forgotten, most of the relatively poor families of the workers had no complaints.

Producing on average 30,000 metric tons of fuel per day, the facility had daily visits from Imperial freighters that brought food and water in exchange for the fuel. The fuel was then used in order to facilitate many Imperial projects on other worlds for quickly building infrastructure cheaply. Loss of the facility would have set the Empire back trillions of credits and years of time.

Due to being relatively deep in Sith territory, the only arms that the mining facility had were those that the crew held - which was limited to security personnel due to Imperial regulations on weapons. It relied on the ability to quickly evacuate in the event of an emergency dealing with the facility most likely going to explode, or it relied on the Imperial sector's navy in the event of an attack by foreign forces.

With the end of the Sith Empire, this facility no longer was receiving supplies and soon fell into disrepair. ATC, having had previous interactions with the Sith Empire before, knew of the facility and set to bring it under ATC perview and jurisdiction. It was during her review of a new resort hotel that this survey and acquisition took place.
