The LAAV/i a durable, reasonably fast shuttle meant to insert troops into a combat zone while under heavy fire. It is capable of space flight, but does not possess a hyperdrive and is thus reliant on a capital ship. The troop bay doors on the port and starboard sides of the vehicle open laterally, allowing egress for the platoon.
This vessel is part of the 7th Fleet Initiative, which aims to furnish the Galactic Empire with a series of modern, combat ready vehicles to better protect Imperial interests.
