Vyllia Sancetti said:"Would that make you happy cousin?"
"No. It would not," Eirys admitted almost to herself as she kept her gaze upon the procession below them. "Your offer is unacceptable to be honest."
The offer was more than fine, in actuality. Not only would the subsidiary come back to Santhe Corporation, which would secure Eirys support from both her family and the associates that she had made in Vūm, but would finalize a dark chapter in the companies history as they took back was theirs. Old designs, schematics and technology (that were currently under control of Santhe-Sienar) would go onto bolster Santhe's business dealings with the nascent Imperial Confederation whom had taken interest in the Aegis line Eirys had developed after securing new financial backing from her powerful friend in the Halquarn District.
It was also reasonable. Vyllia and Maldor had poured not just their time but also their wealth into the development of new technology as well as the redevelopment of the shipyards located in the Yaga Minor system. Eirys was sure that there were other projects or investments that the Sancetti had made that she was not currently privy too that were either owned or connected to her families former subsidiary. Also, by parting ways amicably with the former Santhe subsidiary, Vyllia could made inroads back to her relatives on Liann by giving them back what they wanted while simultaneously keeping what was hers and making a tidy profit as well.
It was more than fine, more reasonable. Vyllia had made a great offer. One that her younger cousin looked to dismiss immediately.
"I don't know what you were thinking," Eirys went onto explain. Her voice cold and calculative with ever syllable. "You joined a regime who bombed and murdered your own people. Married a man who opened fire on Ravelin. Gave them our designs, our schematics, and our expertise. It is quite sick, Vyllia."
A certain crisis in the Sartinaynian system keeps propping up. Scars from the past that kept lingering amid the Imperial remnants. It had been, supposedly, Velran's desire to see Bastion taken by the Empire of the Lost. Oh, how his subjects continued to pay for his misdeeds. Riots and cities smashed by conspiracies with two girls set to compete for what they thought was theirs.
"I want to give you the chance to do the right thing. You can come home and make Santhe whole again. I want to help you do that."
Turning around to face Vyllia, Eirys poured her drink onto the ground beside them, and as the puddle formed beneath their feet, she set the glass aside on a nearby table, saying: "I love you. Try to enjoy the rest of the day."
Walking around her cousin, Eirys disappeared into the party to leave her cousin with dark thoughts.
