SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Landing Struts
  • Folding Wing Design
  • Starboard and Port Bay Doors
Strengths:
  • Heavy Dropship: At 154 meters, there are few drop ships bigger than the Chi-class. It can deliver nearly an entire regiment's worth of troops into battle.
Weaknesses:
  • Armament: Extremely poorly armed, the Chi must be accompanied by starfighter escorts in order to be adequately protected during an assault.
  • Niche: The drop ship performs one role and one role only. It carries troops, vehicles, or supplies and drops them where they are needed. It is poorly equipped for any other role.

Description:

The Chi's ordinary hangar configuration consists of two loading zones separated by struts. The first zone can house an extremely large vehicle, such as the Juggernaut. The second zone has two lifts, separating the zone into three sections and allowing vehicles to be stacked. Once vehicles on the bottom section depart, the first lift lowers the second wave, then the second lift lowers the third wave.

Two top racks above the main bays house the many light repulsorlift vehicles, such as scout bikes and repulsor sleds, or supplies.

This vessel is part of the 7th Fleet Initiative, which aims to furnish the Galactic Empire with a series of modern, combat ready warships to better protect Imperial interests.
