DESCRIPTION
With the successful creation of the Red Shadow Virus, the Galactic Empire began looking into effective ways to deploy the virus. The answer, a rapid space deployment pod capable of spreading the virus over hundreds of Kilometers of land.
With the successful creation of the Red Shadow Virus, the Galactic Empire began looking into effective ways to deploy the virus. The answer, a rapid space deployment pod capable of spreading the virus over hundreds of Kilometers of land.
These pods were designed specifically to hold in this deadly disease. Hosted in the pod, in a liquid form, the Virus is rendered unweaponized until deployment. Launched from a properly outfitted Imperial ship, these reinforced pods will fly to a pre-targeted location. The moment they deploy from the ship, the virus inside will begin to weaponized itself into an airborne virus, effectively taking on the red hue that earned it the moniker Red Shadow Virus.
The pod itself will fly through the planet's atmosphere, generally reaching it's full infectious potential after clearing the planet's upper atmosphere. Once the upper spheres are breached and the pod has reached the lower atmosphere, it will begin to deliver it's payload. Panels all over the pod will open, beginning the release of the virus until the pod impacts the target area. The winds of the lower atmosphere can effectively carry the virus 500km away from the target zone, infecting every susceptible lifeform within the target area.
