Strengths:
  • Artificial Intelligence: Deep within the Imperator-Class Star Destroyer's chest is a Tetrarch-Class Artificial Intelligence, a General Artificial Intelligence the Tetrarch is produced by flash scanning the clone of a living individual's brain and stored within the "Daan Matrix" which is a piece of software and where the Tetrarch's Higher Function is located, the Tetrarch is capable of performing innumerable calculations per second and on its' own perfectly capable of operating the Warship's myriad systems without the necessity of a Human Crew. Effectively, each Imperator-Class Star Destroyer's Tetrarch-Class A.I can act utterly autonomously with the Vessel's Officer Commanding consent. The only function the Tetrarch cannot take advantage of is the Warship's self-destruct which can only be activated with the authorisation codes from the vessel's commanding and executive officer. The Tetrarch-Class dramatically increases the lethality of the Imperator-Class Star Destroyer and is largely responsible for the Warship's "King of the Stars" Reputation, as the Warship is simply designed by virtue of the Tetrarch to outperform Warships equipped with simpler computer systems and staffed by large Human Crews.
  • Complex Protection Suite: Equipped with a staggeringly thick electrified non-explosive reactive armour welded to its' superstructure the Imperator-Class Star Destroyer's Hull is highly resistant to most conventional weapon systems used in void warfare particularly missiles. The Reactive Armour's electric field destroys missile warheads with a contact method of detonation before their fuze can complete successfully, in the event a missile manages to strike the Armoured Hull its' rubber layer bends and flexes in response to the applied pressure and forces the plating to bulge on either side increasing the effective armour thickness by 300% against missiles thanks to the electric current moving through the plates. The Imperator-Class is a Star Destroyer Warship designed and manufactured by the Geonosis-Based Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation on contract for the Core Imperial Confederation, the Imperator was produced in response to a tender put out by the Imperial Government for a "Battleship of heavy armament and armour, in excess of one-hundred millions tons mass." The Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation looked to Lira Wessex's original design for an "Imperial Class" which was centuries old although quite effective in its' day according to ancient historians. The IMC engineering and architecture team responsible for the project used its' outward design as a basis for the Warship as appropriate for Imperial naval tradition although it was known early on the internal deck layout and construction would only vaguely resemble its' progenitor with innumerable improvements least of which was a dramatically improved point-defence and anti-star-fighter armament suite.

The Tetrarch in particular is created through the process of flash-cloning a prospective candidate's brain and then mapping the brain's neuron map and activity which produces an artificial intelligence based around the host individual's personality with many of their identifying attributes and characteristics. Tetrarchs are an advanced and sophisticated synthetic intelligence construct and thanks to its' incorporation of it within the Warships design the crew requirement was dramatically reduced for the Imperator when compared with its' progenitor design a result which satisfied the Core Imperial Confederation's requirement in regards to personnel necessary for the Warship to be combat effective.

Propulsion for the Imperator-Class Star Destroyer is provided by three primary drives with four tertiary engines for manuevering the Imperator's inelegant lumbering nigh unstoppable two-hundred and twenty-million odd tons, it's capable of turning at a maximum speed of 2.0-5.5 degrees per second leaving it capable of being easily flanked in close-quarters by smaller more maneuverable Warships. Senior Commissioned Officers such as the vessel's Officer Commanding are provided with fully-equipped and generous en-suite bedrooms. In the event that the Imperator-Class Star Destroyer becomes lost within deep space or it's hyperdrives are otherwise disabled in an extremely remote region it contains decks filled with Stasis Preservation Chambers which can biologically preserve their occupants indefinitely provided they are receiving power from either of the Destroyers Reactors.
