Iluminated, Eliminated (Scarlet Ghost)

Ilum, once a treasure trove for the Jedi, where they gathered their Kaiburr crystals to power their lightsabres and younglings became padawan learners. Through the ages, the frozen waste had been a pilgrimage for the Jedi Order; now it was an unclaimed, but well guarded gem on the fringe of the great empire of the One Sith. Every now and then, foolish Jedi dared trespass in search for their crystalline gems, and every now and then the One Sith sent their agents to kill or capture the fools who dared defy the Dark Lord and his order.

A foreign vessel had been spotted approaching the frozen world of Ilum, and it was thought that the Jedi were trying to set up underground networks on Ilum in order to harvest the rare crystals. Intelligence pointed to a Jedi Master by the name of Kieron Voidborn as the leader of the operation on Ilum. To intercept his effort, Darth Ophidia, a master assassin and Lord of the Sith, was dispatched. Her orders: Turn their effort into a warning, leave a display of horror in your wake.

With her they dispatched one of their new agents, a curious, but supposedly capable soul by the alias of [member="Scarlet Ghost"]. Ophidia's second mission was to observe this agent's methods and report back for evaluation. The Pale Assassin glided in towards the planet surface in her Phasma Class Interceptor, a capable stealth-craft she had utilised since her knighthood all those years ago.

Ghost had been assigned a new mission. This was nothing new, very standard in fact. Even the objective of the mission didn't deviate too far from her standard parameters, a Jedi needed to be eliminated, a simple matter. One clean shot was all it really took. What was different is that she had been coupled to another for this mission [member="Darth Ophidia"] A sith Assassin of repute even outside her rather exclusive circle. Ghost already longed to see her in action, the dance of death was the only form of entertainment she truly enjoyed to it's fullest.

The Vessel she was on was also quite something, a stealth Interceptor very sleek, and very deadly, in it's own right. Ghost knelt silently in the crew quarters until she was spoken to, not making a single noise, besides the unavoidable sounds of her disassembling and reassembling her rifle. One had to maintain one's equipment to ensure it's effectiveness after all. When this was done once, it was repeated again, and a third time just to be sure.

After checking over her equipment in travel she closed her eyes, clearing her mind of any unnecesarry thoughts, not that there were many there to begin with after all, but even so she cleared them away and re centered herself for the upcoming deployment. Her chance to observe the Pale Assassin was soon to be at hand

Right before their landing, Darth Ophidia strode into the crew quarters. Her droid was more than capable of flying, more capable than her, considering the amount of pilot-programming she had installed in Darling's noggin. It had given her the freedom to meditate, research, rest, or be on the brink of death, all the while making an escape worthy of an ace pilot. Her usual dark robes were covered in an extra layer of white and dull grey to blend in with the frozen surface. Under the layers, the dull colour of her beskar cuirass peeked through, well isolated from any skin. She had already put her helmet on, completely masking her features.

With hands clasped behind her back, she stopped just inside the doorway. The visual ports of her helmet reflected the room with a blank stare as she stood there in silence for a few seconds, merely observing Ghost. Then, a warped, dry voice escaped her helmet.

"Scarlet Ghost I presume"

Despite her presence on the ship, they had not officially met until this point. Ophidia preferred to keep them as brief and concise as possible.

"We will land and depart briefly. Make sure you grab a coat. I can promise you, Ilum is quite cold."

The Scarlet Ghost looked up from her task howerer monotonous it may have been. "That is Correct" She said simply in return for the factual and clear first statement "And you are Darth Ophidia" She said in reply. She rose from her kneeling and gathered her other equipment quitly. She slipped her bare feet into her boots. She did not have a coat, her bodysuit was insulated as it was, though it did nothing to hide her physical features. She gathered her gauntlets, with their semi-unique knife blade design and slipped them on aswell. Overall she was finished in less than a minute.

She stood by the as of yet Closed door of the transport and waited patiently. Her rifle was slung over her shoulder, knife on her thigh and claw in her hand. In addition to that she had taken two force breaker grenades she had requisitioned from the Intelligence Armormy. She looked over at the Pale Sith and waited for her orders

"Quite right."

She took her place in the cargo bay, gripping a head-high bar to keep her balance in a mildly turbulent landing. The winds on this planet were quite violent, and she would rather take the precaution to remain standing. As the two took their places at the exit, the doors were opened and the ice-cold air crashed in like a tidal wave. The Sith Lord, even while encased in layers of cloth, shuddered a little at the change of temperature. Her kind were not built for the cold, but rather the dry and dusty world of Rattatak. She pulled up her scarf to better cover her neck then stepped outside to face the wrath of the ice-planet Ilum.

"Northwest lies the old crystal caves of the Jedi, likely our target's destination. His ship was traced to have landed west of here, in a valley. He has likely gone by foot or by speeder to throw off any pursuers."

He looked Scarlet over, once more before she continued. Behind them the pilots pushed out a pair of speeder-bikes packed with gear and rations. She doubted that the woman's clothes would keep her warm in the frozen waste, even if it was insulated. However, she had already given her recommendation and it was ignored, therefore she did not bother repeating herself. They did not need agents that did not listen.

"Our ship will throw off any stalkers on our tail before cutting off any potential escape from the Jedi's ship. Understood?"

Once unloaded, the ship behind them took off and curved away into the horizon.

Scarlet blinked somewhat as the door was opened, taking in the sight of the planet before her. She nodded along with the Darth's words , listening intently although her gaze was outside, surveying, viewing, planning.

Contrary to the popular belief her suit did keep her warm. It was of special make, meant to resist sub zero temperatures, although it had quite detrimental effects in warmer climates, as the assassin had recently found out during the un-named mission to tantooine.

"Yes. We will be silent, like a thief in the night"

She said back to the pale assassin, her voice soft and clear, like the snow outside. She strode out, climbing aboard one of the speederbikes. She looked to the side, eyeing the Rattataki

"Are we ready? Or will we be delayed much longer? I wish to survey this compound "
