Description: The Ihawu-Frigate's purpose for coming into existence is to be a shield, deployed at the head of a fleet, or to protect key vessels in a Navy's Formation. Whereas most naval ships utilize an encasing shield, not unlike to planetary shields, the Ihawu-class Frigate uses a shutter shield. Similar to how planetary shutter shields are capable of overlapping other sections of its shield to provide additional protection, and gaps for planetary defense emplacements to fire through, the Ihawu's shield does the same, but instead of the gaps being used for planetary defense, they are used via the slaved systems of the ship to other ships in the fleet.

The interior of the shield is primarily kitted to powering the shields that project outwards from the ship akin to an umbrella, projecting 1km radius with gaps capable of being opened for up to two seconds, with a radius of thirty metres. A vast majority of the insides is dedicated to the hypermatter reactor powering the engines and the rest of the ship, as well as the shield projector. This, allowed for a vastly smaller crew, but also a weakness in that there were little to any combat ready personnel on board. Via the slave circuit system of the Ihawu, it allowed a single ship to remotely control the Ihawu's systems, which, in regards for a Naval Force, would likely be projecting to other ships so as to not be forced to deploy more than a handful of these ships in a battlezone.

With the Ihawu's lack of defense emplacements beyond its umbrella shield and reinforced titanium hull, should the Ihawu be flanked it is susceptible to easy disabling and thus destruction.

OK, so I took a look at other shieldships floating around, and this is your closest equivalent:

http://starwarsrp.net/topic/9131-shield-class-cruiser/

Your shield radius is significantly larger, plus shutter functionality, plus four squadrons, plus a lot of durability, with no dev where the other ship has quite a bit. Tech progresses over a couple decades, I get that, but something's gotta give. I can think of at least one additional faction shieldship that's even more at a disadvantage relative to this one. Take a weedwhacker to this by a bit, or find some useful precedents.

Also, plz to include an armament rating, even if it's 0.
