The IFW FUlgor-class Pursuit Frigates primary role is that of interdiction and interception of enemy starships. It utilizes its speed and maneuverability to close rapidly and engage enemy vessels. The powerful weapons give the IFW Fulgor-class the ability to close rapidly and hit an enemy very hard with its powerful Alpha strike capabilities. A small hanger has been placed amidships and can house repair and maintain a small support squadron. Space for two larger visiting craft in the forward bay of the hanger allows for cargo and supply craft and freighters to land when needed. A standard suite of sensors and targeting systems track and identify targets and feed them to the vessels targeting computers. Standard communications systems keep the ship in touch with its allies and can communicate at long ranges with holographic, visual and audio communications.
The IFW Fulgor-class Pursuit Frigate is powered by a Proton-8 reactors. This reactor set in the aft of the ship just behind amidships. 4 Heavy Assault Turbolaser Batteries make up the main batteries of the vessel. these powerful weapon systems give the IFW Fulgor-class a very formidable alpha strike for a vessel its size. 8 Dual Turbolaser Cannon Turrets offered Anti-vessel power which are aided by the 8 Dual Ion Cannon Turrets which aid in disabeling the vessels prey. 6 Hexlaser Turrets offered anti-attack craft defense and assisted the 4 CIWS Turrets against incoming projectiles. 12 Point Defense Light Ion Cannon Turrets worked with the point defense lasers giving the vessel anti-droid and attack craft defense. The 6 Anvil-class Missile Batteries gave the IFW Fulgor-class offensive and defensive power in onecpackage. These launchers could fire any combination of projectiles from its internal warhead magazine. Automatic loading systems selected the appropriate warhead delivery system and loaded the launcher. The magazine carried a variety of warheads.
Defensively the IFW Fulgor-class Pursuit Frigate has a quad reinforced IFW Ferrofaraday Starship Frame reinforced by quadranium bracing. The hull was made of EMNERA Star Ship Armor Plating On top of the under armor a layer of Matrix Armor Plating was laid down to give the vessel formidable protection from energy, heat, radiation, ion and projectile attacks. Two powerful IFW-76x Fortress Shield Projectors installed flanking the command tower give the vessel good shielding.
