Planet: Anoth
Location: Neon Moon Saloon
Intent: To join the Judges of the Outer Rim as a deputy
Lately Katarine had been spending almost all of her time in the Outer Rim. The former Jedi didn't feel she really fit into the Jedi of this age, and while she was on a quest to find her purpose she also needed to eat and the Outer Rim provided a lot of employment opportunities. The galaxy had changed so much in 800 years, and waking up from an enchanted sleep only to find that the Empire fell, the Rebellion won, and a billion other things had happened was quit the culture shock. Needless to say, the woman needed a drink.
She was sitting at the bar, minding her own business and drinking some smoking drink the bar tender had recommended. It was a little strong for her liking, but it seemed really popular with the locals. One table was so full of smoking shots you could barely see the faces of the Duros drinking. Her deep green eyes were peering through the cloud of smoking beverages when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see a large human man smiling at her. He was wearing a leather jacket with so many little bells on it he jingled every time he twitched.
"Let me buy you a drink?"
She smiled apologetically. "Not today. Thanks anyway."
"Oh don't be like that. You got a boyfriend?"
She wrinkled her nose as a powerful smell of whiskey wafted from his breath. Clearly the man had knocked back a few to work up the courage to talk to the women in the bar. She'd already seen him ask one other girl, who unfortunately was in the cantina with her girlfriend and obviously not interested in the male variety of life.
"No thanks." She slid from her bar stool, and turned her back to him, intending to walk away when suddenly she felt his hand clasp her shoulder. She spun around and with a snaphiss the Cantina was lit with the glow of her ancient white lightsaber. She twirled the weapon around the man and for a split second he sat there with his mouth open, until the cantina was full of the sounds of hundreds of little bells falling off the mans smoking jacket. He glanced down at the floor to see the little bells had fallen in a neat little pattern.
As his lips sounded out the words he seemed to come to his senses and glared at her. "This was a new jacket and you've just tore a bunch of holes in it!"
"Well now it will make a nice net." She deactivated her lightsaber, but a second latter wished she hadn't as the man pulled a blaster on her. She hadn't planned on starting a bar fight today but since when had life ever gone according to plan?
