Aloha Republic!

With the loss of Kuat Drive Yards and Rendili Star Drives, we took a huge loss on starship construction for the Republic. Meaning, aside from government created starships that are standard builds, we are now mostly incapable of creating the really nice ships we had in the past, mostly from Camellia and RSD.

However all is not a total loss! We did manage to secure a number of worlds that supply shipyards and defenses. One of them being Nubia. I submitted a canon company acquisition in the Factory and was approved for it this morning. Meaning, while the company is currently only Tier 2, with a bit of work (and help from you all) we can push the company up to around Tier 4 which will give us the ability to once again create some really nice custom star destroyers for the Republic.

I'd like to ask for some names of those who would be interested in doing a few dev threads when the time comes. Generally these requirements are 10-30 posts, so it's nothing too troublesome. If you'd like to help feel free to post below or send a PM my way. Thanks!

KDY and Rendili was a pretty bad loss for us, but we'll survive.

Tenloss, Incom, and Lucerne Labs (also a Tier 2 currently) still supply designs for us. I do welcome having Nubia coming into the fold as well. It's definitely not going to hurt to have more variety to spice things up in our fleet. We have to throw some unpredictable curveballs for our Sith, don't we?

I too can help with designs if people interested, or give them a lookover before they go to the factory.

Also from understanding (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), since we are a major faction, we actually can create large designs without needing a single parent company to produce it, as long as we have IC yards large enough to reasonably produce a design. In other words, while it's nice to have a Tier 5 company to produce a large design from an IC standpoint, we can still produce large designs assuming that we control worlds with reasonably large shipyards, such as Loronar or Lantillies.
