I thought this was a beach trip

It’s just tequila and the beach
Alderaan
Republic Space
Spitting Distance to the Sith

Token Waters was kind of on a… date… thing? It was different. She still would think of Sindy from time to time, well a lot, but Jem made her feel special, and she wasn’t running around the galaxy being some super tech wizard. Okay, maybe that was one thing she liked about Sindy. That she was determined, but so was Jem! She was part of the Primeval AND the Techno Union’s Obsidian Order. That was… crazy. Token kind of just … lived in both areas. One because it was rich and the other because there was so much occult goodness.

Yes, Token Waters was the type of girl for getting busted in a tandem-public-indecency charge in a graveyard. There might be a mugshort or two. But damn if she didn’t look great in that mugshot. But she always looked good. Anyway, the Siren and the TechnoWitch were both here because well, it was a great vacation spot, beaches and the like, but [member="Jemmila Kyrgen"] needed to do some digging.

She was building armor, that the Obsidian Order used to protect their people in the field. It was nice. Token had started working on her own, granted the Sea-Siren used Songsteel. The most emo of the metals. And she really wanted to stay on the beach, but they were going over to a mine.

“I mean, I can just buy it, Jem.” She said, running her hand through her blonde hair. She had been doing different styles with it, debating on cutting it, but right now? There were a few braids in it, with most of it down, or filled with a few beads, and mementos from a few worlds, but mainly Corellia and Dathomir, the two ones important to her.

Jemmila Krygen, Dark Jedi Knight, had two allegiances. One was her loyalty to the Techno Union who trained her up from an apprentice in their Odsidian Citadel. The other was her allegiance to the Primeval, mostly because she still considered herself a servant of warlord Vheissu Ireles. The problem being, switching between two stock sets of armor was a royal pain. The Obsidians wore armorplast and durasteel. The Primeval armies wore Vonduun Skerr Kyrric. It got so confusing, once Jemmila showed up on the battle field wearing the body pieces of the Obsidian Armor and the helmet of the Vonduun crab. Not only was the mix and max armor totally unusable, but it also looked bad. Let's just say she sat on the bench during that battle.

It was time to build one kick-ass custom set of armor, designed and fitted just for her. So Jemmila followed her girlfriend (were they girlfriends? or just girl playthings? Jem couldn't really tell) Token Waters to Alderaan to go mining for materials for this new armor. They made a complimentary pair, or so Jem thought. One being infectiously kinetic, always talking a mile a minute and insta-charming anyone who hurled into her orbit. Jem was the quieter, more serious one. The one it took a long time to warm up to. Token bubbled. Jem brooded. Yin and yang. It's how they got things done.

"You're sweet, babe." she said to the cute blonde spellweaver. "But I'm not going to be happy with this armor unless I get every little detail just so, you know?"

Token really only had her one allegiance. And that was to her. Or the power of love. Take your pick, really. They were kind of one and the same, for the writer. She lived in the Techno Union and she lived in the Primeval. She was a Witch of Dathomir and that meant she respected that world as well. Plus, her homeworld, her family’s home world of Corellia, though it was gone, she was part of the Displaced Corellians.

But right now? She was part of something else. She wasn’t really worried as to what to call it, just that she was happy. Part of something with someone. It was nice. It was… comforting? And it made her just feel better. Not that she needed someone, it was a big galaxy, she would be fine on her own. She knew that her and [member="Jemmila Kyrgen"] were opposites. Its what happened with her and most of the people she bonded with. She found someone completely different than she was.

It was nice.

“Well, I mean, I could buy the raw materials… And we could spend our time on the beach…” She licked at then bit her lower hip, brown eyes looking up at her partner. “But I know what you mean.” The girl had found herself a stash of Songsteel, and that, for her, had been really important.

"It's cheaper to do it this way." Jem turned to study the miners they had contracted. One was currently fixing a faulty 11-17 mining droid. The rest had begun to escort the metal mole miners into a nearby cavern.

"And we can still have a vacation."

Jemmila kissed Token on the forehead. She was much more relaxed than she had been after fighting in two wars on different ends of the galaxy. It was time for a little "R" and "R," even if this trip did have a more practical purpose.

Ok so maybe Alderaan wasn't full of tropical beaches, but it was a beautiful planet that nature had blessed with many natural sights like the Juran Mountains and the Glarus Valley. There were forests nearby, peppered with walking trails that wound around to hidden coves. The women were also close to a large sea with a pebble beach.

"Wanna go for a walk? I heard there's a trail nearby that has magnificent waterfalls."

Maybe they would even find some starblossoms for their room.

Token wasn’t quite so sure it was cheaper. Sure, they got to have a bit of vacation put aside for this trip, but was it really the best way? They had to pay the miners, because Token sure as hell wasn’t going to get dirt under her nails. She was watching the miners for a moment, doing… they were fixing something. Because even miners wanted droids to do the work.

And then she was pulled back to the task at hand, a kiss on the forehead? Aww. Token turned and smiled, giving a tip of her head (yes, that Avatar? Token action for sure.) at the dark haired Primeval-Techno Union hybrid. “Sure we can!” Maybe after? Or … well, the miners were getting paid, they’d not do anything crazy.

And the weirdos in the Republic weren’t going to hunt them down, if they were paying miners to do a service and not like… she didn’t know, raiding? Or stealing a shipment. See? Credits made the galaxy go ‘round. Almost better than spice.

Easy now, blue Brown Eyes. No need to go all Maud’Dib “Do you think the miners will be okay without us?” She bit her lip.

Jem flashed her large brown eyes to the miners and bit her lower lip. If they wanted to get paid, they'd do their jobs right? She held up her Datapad. The mining droids had cameras in them that fed back to Jemmila's Datapad. They could check up on the men remotely, if that's what Token was worried about. If the blonde was worried about the miners getting eaten by giant cave spiders, well, then cameras wouldn't help with that.

"They won't be slacking off on our watch," she said, giving her Datapad a little shake.

"Come on, Tokes." Jem jerked her head to the side indicating the nearby path into the woods.

The Alderaan forest was beautiful with rich, lush trees and foliage. After fighting on dusty rock of Geonosis and in the jungles of Wayland, the scenery was a breath of fresh air.

"I think the waterfall is this way," Jemmila said, arching a demure brow. "I bet the water temperature is just right for skinny dipping."

See? She could have bought the girl Phrik. But then they wouldn’t be taking this trip. And at least Jem had it all planned out. She was able to watch the miners. So there it was, development, right? Yeah, and it wasn’t like Token was going to get her hands dirty. Even when she was out working on the Primeval campaign front the girl was an N7 Adept, biotic specialist, Force adept with a focus on the spell side of it all. She wasn’t going to get her hands dirty.

Her soul, maybe.

And probably the way people… nevermind. They didn’t need to go into her horizontal and nocturnal details.

The blonde smiled as it did feel a bit better to leave now. She bit her lip, as was a customary thing for the muse, and smiled. This was a lot better of a place than Wayland. But still, she knew that there were murmurs in the Techno Union, about heading to Maramere. That was a place she desperately wanted to go.

Desperately.

“It better be!” She grinned. Right, the blonde was in a pair of cut offs and a tanktop. She was on vacation, after all. It wasn’t her fault [member="Jemmila Kyrgen"] wanted to make it a working vacation.

Poro

Poro want a Poro Snack!
Poro tried desperately to keep up with [member="Token Waters"]. He bounded across the ground, barely keeping up with her as the two women were focused on each other and going at their normal, casual stride. Eventually, they would stop and Poro would come forward to lay on top of Token's right foot/shoe. He would then start panting tiredly until his body normalized.

As she forged through the forest, Jem stretched out her hand to intertwine her fingers with Token's. Since the two had meet at the Brightstar casino barge's Techno Union bash, they both had wanted to spend more time together, but between all of Jem's military campaigns and her Force training, time was scarce. Sure they had slept together, but the women had only scratched the surface of their relationship. Biting her lip as she eyeballed her blonde lover, Jem hoped that this vacation was the start to a deeper connection. Not like marriage or anything. She didn't want to tie Token down. Well, not in that way. What Jem wanted would transcend a signature on flimsiplast.

She giggled at the little creature that bounded around behind them, playing with Token's shoe.

"Looks like you have a fan," remarked Jem with a sultry laugh.

Turning back towards the path, she was excited to see it open into a clearing where a cool stream bubbled and yes! There were waterfalls, just as promised. Letting out a very uncharacteristic squeal, Jem jogged towards it, spilling out of her clothing. She stripped down to nothing, leaving her clothing on a pile on the edge and waded into it, discovering that it was deeper than it looked.

Token, like one aspect of her family, had a very unique touch with the world. She wasn’t formally trained in anything, sure, she was part of the Blue Coral Divers Clan of Witches, but that was about all the knowledge she had. She could survive in the water, really good if she was going to be Tron, or falling into an ocean. But beyond that? She kept herself between realms in this galaxy, not knowing where she was going to end up, but knowing where she was in that moment. She was a part of the Techno Union, she was a part of the Primeval, she wasn’t an Obsidian but took some of their knowledge to build little used combat armor.

She smiled at Poro and bent down to pet the Ropo. “Hey buddy!” She knew him, a bit. But when Jem started running, the blonde looked up and smiled. “Hey!”

The blonde girl laughed and ran after her partner. “Get back here!” And the other was shedding clothes. A quick tug and Token began to match the pattern. The work of mining Phrik was far from her mind.
