Private I Pledge Myself To Your Teachings

Qzekov

Guest
Qzekov paced back and forth in the main chamber of the Prosperity, the New Jedi Orders's temple ship. He had put in a request with the New Jedi Council to send someone to complete his training, if not be his master. He was both excited and scared to train again. It had been four years since his last master trained him.

The Padawan had been focused with the war and battle. He'd been too busy to train, except by doing for years. Hopefully they'd send a good teacher. He'd waiting too long for anything else. All the Council responded with was a holo-message saying they'd send someone to discuss with him and see what could be done. He was told to wait in the common area. Bored he founds himself staring at an ancient painting as he waited, twiddling his thumbs as he finally decided to sit down on a ledge.

After receiving Qzekov's request in the Council Chambers, the initial response had been to send someone who could likely teach him, but Valery decided to go and meet him again. Familiarizing herself with the younger generations of Jedi was always she deemed important, so even though she was likely not going to become his Master, she wanted to be there.

But her response to his request was correct in that someone else would be coming as well — she brought along Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , who was looking for a Padawan of his own to train. Whether or not the two clicked remained to be seen, but it was certainly worth a shot.

"Padawan Qzekov?" Valery asked as she stepped into the common room with her husband.

"I'm Master Valery Noble, I was the one who received your request to the Council. I hope you haven't been waiting too long?" She asked before stepping aside so Kahlil could introduce himself if he wanted to.

Kahlil stayed silent as he walked with Valery Noble Valery Noble . In his hands, a datapad with the reports on Qzekov. His training, his missions. His last master. What happened. It was all concerning, especially for a Jedi so young. He let out a sigh just before they entered the room together, clicking it off to tuck it away on his back pocket. A calm smile stayed on his lips as he observed the Chiss. Stepped beside Valery, arms clasped behind his back.

"Hey."

The young Chiss sat humming a song that was playing in his head as he waited. A few minutes later two Jedi Masters, one female and one an usually tall male, walked into the room toward him. He noticed the datapad in the male's hand and took a guess he was reading up on his file. That could be good or bad, considering his record. He had plenty of experience fighting Sith, but also a tendency to lose control in the face of their evil.

As they got closer he looked up into their eyes. "Yes? Oh hello, Masters. I haven't been waiting too long. A Jedi's life is patience regardless." he said in response to Valery Noble Valery Noble .

The man approached behind her and gave a casual greeting that threw off the Chiss momentarily. "Hey... How are ya?" He replied, trying to sound just as humanly casual. This man may not have been human, but he almost talked like one. Odd.

"Did the Council give any word on a candidate to continue my training? Did they say anything?" The young Jedi asked expectantly.

Valery briefly glanced at Kahlil as he kept his introduction rather short and simple, but she smiled and looked back at the Padawan, who seemed patient but quite eager to hear more about his future as a Jedi as well. For a Padawan to find a Master was always a big deal — they'd spend a lot of time together training and gaining experience, so she didn't blame him.

"I got your request but I haven't discussed it with all of the Council — it's usually not necessary, as we don't force one Padawan to train under a particular Knight or Master." she said before looking at Kahlil again.

"But I did bring Master Kahlil Noble here with me. He may be looking for a Padawan and I figured we could talk about it more. Or well, you two might want to discuss some things, and I'll be here to help or offer my thoughts."

"Decent." Kahlil kept his answer to Qzekov short and to the point, still ever smiling. Letting Valery Noble Valery Noble handle most of the talking. It let him observe, listen. Watch the Chiss as the conversation went on. The boy had been through quite the trauma, and with it, the Master did worry just what that meant for how he'd act. So far, just eager to learn. So far, good.

"So, why don't you tell me a bit about yourself, Peq'zeko'vorge."

Qzekov sat quietly, listening intently as Valery Noble Valery Noble talked to him. He only spoke himself to show his understanding, "Okay."

The Chiss held out his hand to shake with Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble . "Pleasure to meet you, Master Kahlil."

He was asked to give some details about himself and was ready to tell, then he heard his Cheunh name spoken. He didn't have to wonder how he knew that name, but it sounded awful spoken by a non-Chiss. So awful.

"Well, I'm... Oh, just Qzekov or Q, please. My full name is too hard for you to pronounce. . . Anyway. . . I was born on Csilla. I was found by the Galactic Alliance in the wake of the Sith genocide of my people's worlds and was brought to be trained by the New Jedi Order when my force affinity became apparent. It didn't take me long to go from youngling to apprentice because my species matures faster than most. You probably know my master died at the hands of the Brotherhood of the Maw four years ago." When he said this his head fell down for a moment and he sat in silence before continuing like it didn't hurt to talk about, ". . . But I'm ready to finish my training, complete the trials and become a great Jedi Knight."
