Strengths: Heavy weapons

Description: The Cobra class corvette was designed for one purpose only, as fast attack corvette. Bristling with heavy weapons, designed to holes in other ship armour. Using Ion weapons to disrupt shields before pounding the enemy ship, helping to create maximum damage. The heavy turbo lasers were set slightly back from the ion cannons, so they would strike first. This was so shields would be disrupted, before the heavy turbo laser hit. Also the the heavy photon was set back as well, from the ion launchers for same reason. This came at a price of course, that was no actual protection from fighters. This meant they were vulnerable to incoming fighters and bombers. Also with no point defence weapons, it had problems with incoming missiles.

As well as it impressive heavy weapons, it had an excellent shields and extra thick hull. This was to help ward of bigger ships, as it tried to pound them. As without long range weapons, it had to use it speed to get in close to even have chance, so the extra armour gave it that chance with increase power to shields.

hey so normally the defense would be 14 so it would need something to balance this out.
Normal Speed would be 9 and normal maneuvering would be 9 so something needs to be done to balance this out

since this is a heavy corvette this is not really a weakness since they normally do not have a squadron

So for capital weapons your pretty much on point with a stock heavy corvette. so that would put you at 16 for armament. The heavy warhead launcher takes up 5 of your 6 allowed warhead launchers and I assume the 2 ions are launchers also which would take your remaining warhead launcher and your 4 defense weapons so good exchange on that. So the no fighter defense is a solid weakness

a heavy corvette really would already have heavy shielding and heavy armor at defense 14. so make defense 14.

Speed and maneuvering are both high and have nothing to balance them out. Normallly they are 9 so if you wanted to make one 8 and leave one at 9 that would work with the no fighter defense weakness to balance this out.
