I have no clue what sith alchemy is...

I'm looking for someone who can teach me a little something about sith alchemy. I also would like for that person to be skilled in sith alchemy. Thank you ^_^
 
I know how it works, but I'm too lazy/don't want to write/don't want to try it in the factory.

The problem is I don't know enough about Sith alchemy to have something made for me, but I want a mask... A special mask. [member="CC-4277"]
 
[member="Cain Laatl"] The problem with Alchemy, and I say this as a tech judge, is that it's powerful, and it's seen as an easy way to get around the dev thread requirements for saber resistance. And so, knights, and even apprentices, start to make items that would require a well-written sub from Masters. Needless to say, it's a little annoying.
In Canon, alchemy was rare, an art know by few and seldom used. It (seriously) led to the creation of the Sith, as the Jedi who discovered it we're exiled, and found Korriban, where Sorizus Syn combined her knowledge with that of the Sith people there to create the Sith Alchemy we know and love today.
What is it you want? If you just want an alchemical token or helmet of whatnot, talk to some of the Masters of it on the boards. Try and get them to make it for you. But please don't just make an alchemist for the sake of alchemy.

EDIT: What kind of things should the mask do?

See, I honestly don't know what one could do with sith alchemy other than make something that's lightsaber resistant. I mean I have an idea of what it could do but to me it seems like a long shot of what one could with alchemy.
 
[member="Cain Laatl"] A lot can be done with Alchemy. That's half of why it's so powerful (and annoying). Protection from mind control, Aura of Uneasiness, and much more can be done by a well-trained Master (or perhaps a Knight with many, many Dev threads....)

I also find it interesting that so many don't use Sithspawn. Seriously, I've wanted to play one for a while, but I don't want to ask someone to make it for me, and don't have the Sith to do it (for reasons mentioned above.

Well I was thinking of the ability to read minds and feel emotions of others around me while protecting me from the same... oh and I want it to have a cool ability where it shoots death beams out of the eye holes.
(That last part was a joke btw)

[member="Cain Laatl"] I've been told that protection from mind reading is "a trivial task" in Alchemy. The catch is that it protects from the level of the maker. So an Acolyte can protect from Acolytes, and a limited amount of knights, and so on for the other ranks. To read minds, though... I'm not so sure. I don't know if that can be done through Alchemy. (I don't know everything, after all).
After a little bit of research, I would say it would be possible, but require an expert in Alchemy doing a quality Dev thread to make, and the ability would be rather limited. It'd probably be easier to use your own abilities for it instead.

Funny enough, death beams may be possible... :p
 
[member="Cain Laatl"] Most active force powers, like telepathy and Force sight, are weakened or poorly done by Alchemy. If you need it, and you'd be willing to work for it, then you can try it. Just know that it will be weaker than a well-trained FU (or most Miraluka).
Both are possible, but the complications and the power of such an item make it a tough thing to balance out.

Protection from Telepathy, A shadowy covering to hide the face, perhaps, or one that conceals the Force presence, Aura of Uneasyness, basically anything that doesn't involve attacking another player is a safe bet. Would they require work? Yes. But almost every thing does.
[member="Daichi"] Yes, but you're making an army, correct? That kind of thing is rather extensive. I was thinking more along the lines of [member="Syn"]'s character.
