Private "I Have Many Skills"

Rowena sat in her office, cradling a cup of tea in hand, poised as always. She had invited Viridian for a meeting, one that could benefit her quite well. But of course it could benefit the younger man as well, in some respects.

He dabbled in unique bio-technologies, but that wasn't quite all that she was interested in. His experiments were just a means to an end; all of it a part of an elaborate strategy that both herself and her husband had been working on for years.

The kettle was all warmed up and a tray of expensive little desserts, some decorated with edible flakes of gold sat on her large, polished wood desk. Her hair was perfect, not a strand out of place among the gentle waves. She wore a light green dress covered in tiny sequins, pearl earings and elaborate necklace. One could easily guess that she was dressed to impress.

Now all that she needed was for her guest to arrive.

As he entered Viridian was armed. He was carrying what appeared to be a wooden staff. To those who could feel the force it was so much more. Noticing the tea he sat down. He asked. "You didn't put any metal in the tea did you?" His grip on his staff was tight. He was worried about being poisoned by her. The green she wore was lovely as it reminded him of the spires of his original home before the Bryn'adul had done such harm.

"Why did you call me here?" He asked her. He was confused.

Rowena wasn't Force Sensitive in the slightest. To her, what Viridian carried was merely a staff and nothing more. Such things were uncommon among the upper class, so it wasn't really out of the ordinary.

"Metal in the tea? Why no, of course not. Unless one wanted their tea to taste like dirt. This is just an herbal tea." Metal in tea was an odd thing to suggest. Although if it was an allergy that he had, then he'd want to stear clear of the gold flaked desserts. The others were fine, of course.

Rowena set her cup down and began to pour her guest a cup of his own, speaking all the while. "I invited you here because I've been hearing about your experiments through some sources of mine and quite frankly I'd like to hear more. So come and sit." There was an adjacent chair on the other side of her desk for him. She placed his cup on her desk near to it and then to add the assurance that there was nothing wrong with the tea, she topped up her own cup and then took a sip.

Viridian sat down, and then took a sip of his tea after he watched her sip hers. He was paranoid after all. The mere presence of metal in the room was something that unnerved him. As the tea washed down his throat, he tasted the spice of it. He liked this tea, or so he thought anyway. Her outfit reminded him of the original home of the Veldorians - though he wouldn't tell her about that yet. He wanted to keep some secrets, after all. "This is good tea." He admitted, as he looked at her. "I might buy some from you later to enjoy at my discretion." He stated. "And yes, I've been experimenting with bio tech due to a problem of mine I'm working on trying to find a cure for. Sadly, my attempts to make anything truly powerful haven't been successful, and not from lack of trying." He groaned as he said that. He then queried after he put down the staff he carried temporarily.

Well, he didn't put it down per say. He was just using the Force to 'float' it in the air rather than hold it so he had his hands free. "So, what exactly do you want to know about my experiments, precisely?"

Rowena raised her brows at the mention of Viridian buying some tea from her. "I wouldn't charge you for tea, darling. You may take some home as a parting gift. A proper host always has those." She flashed him a pleasant smile before having another sip of her tea.

Her eyes drifted down to the staff that seemed to stand on it's own. Was he Force Sensitive? Her husband wouldn't like that at all, so it was quite fortuitous that he wasn't in attendance.

"Biotech is a very interesting field that's largely untapped. These days things like the holonet are becoming less and less secure. But biotech is a proven safeguard against that. But firstly, what problem are you trying to solve. Perhaps there's some way in that I could help?"

"A metal allergy. An allergy to pretty much every metal in the known universe." He stated, as he looked at her. He felt like he should be truthful to her, but he didn't know why he should do so. She seemed trustworthy enough in his eyes. Her smile made him blush a little. "I have many ideas for biotechnology, but lack the means to create working versions of them." He sighed. "Really, some of it is just recycling technology my species once had access to. Sadly enough, I don't see any of the tech working in the long term. I'm also trying to create what amounts to organic battle droids, so I have things that can utilize metal that aren't clones. I don't like the science of cloning all that much," He admitted. "It does have it's uses, but I'm not the kind of person to build armies of disposable clones. You are very good at talking to people. Wish I was that good, or that I had an assistant like you."

Now there was an idea, he should clone her somehow.

He sighed. She'd likely turn on him if he were to do that. "So tell me. Would you like to see one of my creations? I arrived here in it."

Again her eyebrows rose as Viridian mentioned his allergy towards metals. It was an odd one to be sure. One could hardly walk on soil or sand without encountering metals. And with the way that most worlds operated with their technologies, metals and ships were everywhere. Even here in her office she had flakes of metal on some of the desserts. But that wasn't done to harm him, for she wasn't aware of his allergy at all.

"How do you mean that you lack the means? Is it funding that you require? Space to work in? And don't worry about being able to convey your thoughts. You are doing just fine." Rowena smiled and had another sip of her tea. "You arrived here in one of your creations? Are you telling me that you....created a ship with biotech?" The very thought of it was quite unheard of to her.

"Yes, I created one out of bio tech." said Viridian. "And try all of the above, as a lack." He stated. "Plus the knowhow. I'm experimenting. Had to use the force for more than half the stuff due to my allergies." He said, as he looked at her. Viridian paused, as he looked at her anew. "So, tell me, Rowena. Would you like me to make you a ship?" He was hesitant about doing so, but would offer. "Assuming my ships are even something you would like to exchange things for, Mrs. Arenais." He said, as he looked at her again. "Credits can only get you so far in life. If you want one of my ships, you're going to have to find something to trade for it. Too bad one of the Unrooted isn't around, one of the ones originally made by my species. I'd love to have one of those," He rambled on about it for a moment. "Sorry, bad habit."

"Wish there was a hand held or wearable Teleportation Device that wasn't metallic. That would be really useful for me. But yes, I do lack the funding, resources and space. Ideally would have a forested planet to work on for my experiments. One isolated from the Jedi - Sith Religion War that continues to bite the galaxy every time they lift a Lightsaber."

Viridian sighed, as he thought about that. "My people were afraid of them once, before all but 150 to my knowledge were wiped out by the Bryn'adul, myself being counted among them."

Rowena listened to Viridian as he spoke, her expression never betraying her thoughts. Instead she looked just as interested as ever in everything that he said. "I think that I'd have to see one of these biotech ships before considering acquiring one for myself. My husband is the pilot and not I. He would know far better about them than I would." Once again she sipped her tea, nearly finished with the cup.

"What is an Uprooted, if I may ask? And if it's a planet that you seek, or a spot there upon it where you needn't worry about Jedi or Sith, than I have just the place for you to set up shop, as it were." Mnemosyne was perfect. It held plenty of forests and wasn't highly populated either.

"The Unrooted were a species created by the Veldorians, my species. Think of them as a sort of tree ship." He said, as he looked at her for a moment. He, like her had almost finished his tea as well, the tea she had given him. He had a smirk on his face as he looked at her. "Are you ready to see my ship?" He asked as he looked at her for a moment. "It is docked out side. It's made completely out of organic components unlike normal ships. It does not possess any metal in the ship whatsoever, something I've worked on."

"Given my aforementioned allergy, I've had to take precautions. Including non metallic ships. I'm still trying to work on a Droid Replacement that does not involve the use of any metal whatsoever. You do? Color me impressed. Tell me about the planet. "

He waited for her to reply.

"Well I'd be delighted to look and see it for myself." Rowena got to her feet and set her tea down onto her desk, instead of finishing it off in one big gulp. She was afterall, a lady, and a lady never does that. All of her movements were poised and full of grace as she walked around her desk towards where Viridian sat. "It's Mnemosyne, where my family and I live. Have you heard of it? It's tucked away in Silver Space like a hidden jewel within the system."

Viridian was unaware of anything she had planned, remaining seated. "Sure, you may." He stated, as he looked at her. "And no, I've not even heard of Mnemosyne, actually. Hopefully it is safe from the Jedi and Sith blood feud that ravages the galaxy. I am so very tired of the war they continue to spew with their differing ideologies. Can't the two groups bury the hatchet?" He complained. He then muttered about Jedi and Sith hating each other too much. "I've also been working on Alchemical Creations of my own, as well as Imbuing objects with the Force. Sadly, I've been unable to create the weapon I want for myself that will allow me to stand against Force Users who brandish Lightsabers or Force Powers against me."

He then asked her. "So. What can I expect on the planet?"

Rowena waited patiently for Viridian to get to his feet. "I'm not surprised that you hadn't heard of it. Not many have and that's part of what keeps it safe from the wars. Both my husband and I steer clear of the wars between the Force Users. We are not of their ilk, so it is not an endeavor for us to partake." Unlike her husband, Rowena was a little more tolerable towards Force Users than he.

"You'll find Mnemosyne to be a lovely little world with various climates, including a continent filled with forests like what you seek." She places a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure you'll love it."

He blushed as she touched him on the shoulder. "I would indeed, love to see the planet." He smiled, as he looked at her, standing up. "Hopefully I can manage to make this actually what I want it to be," His staff flew to his outstretched hand, pulled by the invisible threads that was the Force. "Who knows, maybe all the Veldorians will migrate there one day." He smiled again. He then questioned her. "Do you want to take my ship to the planet, or the other ship I have personally made?" He asked, as he looked at her. He wanted to know which of his creations that he had made she would want to travel in. Her touch made him at peace for now. Would she capitalize on him being at peace, and if so, how?

Rowena noticed Viridian 's blush at her touch. Had she done it again? Charmed a young lad so quickly? One would think that she was a Zeltron, but of course that wasn't the case. She was a Lady of grace and stature. Her confidence and ambition is what drives every decision. And she wasn't afraid to gamble.

She linked her arm into his. "Whichever ship you think shall impress me the most, you may show me. I must notify my own to follow us, of course." Rowena couldn't be too careful. She didn't have bodyguards, persay, but she did have some people that her husband hired to watch over her. Although they were casually dressed and didn't make themselves easily spotted or known.

When they got to his ship, the Star Piercer, Viridian showed it to her. "My first creation with my techniques. I think you'll be quite impressed. It has no metal of any kind in it - whatsoever. Just wood, and organic equivalents to circuitry." He said, as he walked with her to the ship. Her touch was something he hadn't expected - something he'd have to get used to. "Behold, the Star Piercer. Granted, it's a MK 1 of the ship I'm still working on designing. Still, I think you'll find it quite impressive!" He said, happily. "What do you think of my creation?" He asked, as he gestured at the interior of the ship. "If I had a way to mass produce it, and keep the enhancements I did with the Force, it would be perfect."
