Strengths:
Little: The HDP, or Hyperspace Drop Pod as it is so unoriginality named has one advantage over dropships, fighters, and other modes of transportation, it is relatively tiny, only holding one person. This odd little travel device is designed to be undetected while traveling through space and even atmosphere. It's fiberplast construction, small profile, and no-engine design is all meant to facilitate this 'stealth' capability. It essentially makes the HDP difficult, and nearly impossible to detect with normal sensors. Often times when the HDP is used it is mistaken for a meteor or an asteroid, often times not being picked up by automated systems at all.

Hyperspace: Unlike other drop pods, the HDP is entirely capable, and even purpose built, for short jumps through hyperspace. The system was built entirely around a single use high class hyperdrive engine. The Pod is launched from a ship, then jumps into hyperspace. The drop pod then literally “falls” out of hyperspace generally out of planetary sensor range and is then boosted towards its planetary or spacial target by a single burst rocket engine to aid in its lack of detection.

Drone Carrier: The HPD acts as a Drone carrier. Alongside being able to support the use of a single humanoid, the drop pod also is capable of carrying the OBL-Series of droids, perfectly able to transport four standard OBL drones or one of the larger drones.

Weaknesses:
One Use: The HDP is for all intense and purposes only able to be used once. The landing that occurs on planetary bodies is extremely...rough to say the least. Though the pod comes with several parachutes as well as booster engines to slow descent, the HDP does not have major maneuvering capability, this often means that the landing is very rough and most of the pod will get destroyed upon landing. This means its use is extremely limited, and expensive.

Maneuverability: As stated above, the HDP has little to no maneuverability. Once it is launched, and once its booster engine is used up, the HDP has little to no way of maneuvering. In space this mean it quite literally only goes in a straight line, running into anything that might be in its way. This obviously means that every launch is extremely well calculated and planned for. This also means when discovered, the HDP have little to no actual protection. In atmospheric condition the HDP is capable of some maneuvering due to its booster engines and parachutes, however more often than not these systems are not enough which can make some landings very uncomfortable. Due to these faults, the HDP's success rate I actually a paltry one in ten, something that the employees of Saeva don't seem to mind.

Description:
The idea of a Hyperspace Drop pod is not new, or even very original.
Drop pods have been a staple with several military organizations in the galaxy including the former Fringe Confederation, the Omega Protectorate, and even the Republic, and Hyperspace pods have been in use in the galaxy for nearly as long as probe droids have been in existence.

Of course mixing the two proved to be somewhat more...insane, then one would normally be okay with.

The idea of the Hyperspace Drop Pod came to existence when Kiran Vess, the owner and CEO of Saeva Incorporated decided that using fighters and dropships to deliver troops to a planetary Body was not only inconvenient, but also far less efficient and stealthy than he would have normally liked, he commissioned the creation of these drop pods from several small companies throughout the galaxy.

These drop pods are designed to function as single use delivery systems. A number of these are launched into a system where they make their way towards a planetary body. The planets automatic defense system recognizes the drop pods not as incoming fighters, but instead as a meteor shower or passing asteroids. The drop pods then fall into a cluster relatively close to one another, hopefully surviving with their cargo in tact. From there the employees of Saeva incorporated free themselves from their potential coffins and do the work they were hired to do.

It should be noted that use of the HDP is extremely dangerous. Only one in three pods launched survive. Those Saeva employees that regularly utilize these pods are known to have death wishes, or really enjoy thrill rides. Either way, stepping into these pods is not a risk that should be taken lightly and their success is not a guarantee in any measure.

Despite these drawbacks however, Saeva utilizes the Drop pods whenever it deems necessary.

Like all once formerly Saeva exclusive product, this vessel is now produced on a galactic scale by Vanir Technologies.

Canon precedent: check
Ability to abuse: low

Dimensions don't seem to match the image, could you make them about 4m long? Going to need a reasonable amount of space for life support systems, boosters, shielding against cosmic rays etc, and the hyperdirive.
