A trio of Imperial TIEs, one TIE Destroyer and a pair of TIE Meteors, emerged from hyperspace arriving at a unspecified point along the hyperlane known as Vermilion Drift where an Rebel attack on an Imperial convoy had occurred the day before. According to the Captain of the INV Conqueror, who had somehow witnessed the entire attack and survived, the Rebels struck without warning by pulling out the convoy, his flagship and it's escorting corvettes out of hyperspace through interdiction technology and then quickly annihilating both the convoy and corvettes within minutes before they could scramble a single fighter before finally vanishing into hyperspace before a single TIE could launch, leaving the INV Conqueror amidst the wreckage of the convoy and it's own escorts.

When Wilhelm Vonreg first learned of the attack, he refused to believe it that was until he personally watched the events unfold through the command log of the INV Conqueror. Shortly afterwards Imperial High Command had dispatched him to the site of the ambush at his own request to see for himself the extent of the Rebels brutality and hopefully learn more about their tactics. Thus he would soon arrive at the site of the ambush onboard his TIE Destroyer supported by a pair of newly constructed TIE Meteors ready to begin his investigation.

As soon as Vonreg and his escorted emerged out of hyperspace they were greeted with the sight of floating wreckage, the remains of the freighters and escorting corvettes that had been destroyed in the ambush. "Command, this is Titan Leader, i'm at the site of the ambush." Vonreg reported through the comms. "The Rebels really a number on those ships. Left no survivors." he further commented. "They must have been very skilled to pull this off with such precision and speed." he added. "What about the Cargo, is there anything we can still salvage?" the Imperial officer said from the otherside of the call. "Let me check the freighters out. Wingmen, keep an eye out for trouble."

And with that Vonreg plunged his TIE within the vast field of debris and wreckage approaching what was left of the freighters, secretly hoping in the meantime that the Rebels who caused this were still around so that he could teach them a little lesson in warfare.

The truth was, Jonyna was only here to survey the wreckage, and see if any curious imps decided to pop back in.

She had spent the last hour loading up cargo from the convoys into the Reaper, it's stealth systems working at full capacity while she watched, and waited. The Imperials were always one to check their fallen. They always wanted to know more. Understand tactics. It was their obsession, as it had been for 900 years.

Jonyna lamented how little the galaxy had changed.

But, it meant that she could use tried and true tactics.

From the trio of corvettes, Jonyna had acquired what would be a goldmine to any other rebel of her own time. An untouched, imperial transponder. An emergency beacon, in this case. It didn't need to be up to date, it just needed to be recent.

As the Ties entered, Jonyna already had it active. A distress signal, drawing them to an ambush point.

As Vonreg navigated his TIE through the debris field approaching the wreckage of the destroyed freighters to inspect the status of their cargo, he received a notification from one of his fellow wingmates through the comms. "Titan Leader, this is Titan Two. I'm getting a distress signal from the debris field near your location." the pilot said. Sure enough the distress signal was picked up by Vonreg's TIE who appeared to be the closest to the source of the signal. "Continue circling the perimeter. I'll check it out." he stated.

The Veteran Pilot then proceeded to move his TIE towards the source of the signal coming across the destroyed freighters on his way there, with their cargo scattered across the debris field, some intact while others were destroyed. Eventually he arrived at the source of the distress signal, finding...nothing. There was just debris and wreckage even as the distress signal continued. "That's strange, there's no one here." he said confused. He moved his TIE a bit closer to the source, instinctively shunting the power of his TIE to it's shields just incase this was an ambush, his hands gripped on the fire controls.

Whether this was an ambush or not, he was uncertain. But whatever was going on was highly unusual, and he needed to be ready for whatever would come next.

Trap set.

One of the two TIE Meteors suddenly went dark. Not from interception, but from one of it's missiles suddenly detonating, still inside the launch tubes. Jonyna wasn't overseen by the NJO anymore. She wasn't bound to holding back.

But she understood how to fight Ties. She'd watched Zash do it again and again.

Outplay them.

Inside her X-wing, she sat waiting for the perfect moment. Her stealth systems would allow that. No signature on sensors, no invisible to the naked eye, and perfectly capable of flying around without a bit of noise.

And then...when the moment was right.

She opened fire on Wilhelm. four firelinked laser cannons opened up at point blank range, before she flew off and disappeared back into the sea of floating metal.
