  • GENERAL INFORMATION

Hu-Tee’s genesis was a twist of fate within the sterile confines of an Imperial genetics laboratory. The scientists’ ambition was audacious: to create awakened convor, beings imbued with enhanced intelligence, perhaps even sapience, for purposes yet unknown. But within the delicate dance of genetic manipulation, an unforeseen variable was introduced, a strand of human DNA, an accidental inclusion that would irrevocably alter the course of one particular subject.

His nascent form gestated within an artificial egg, indistinguishable from the others in the batch. When fire erupted within the research facility, fueled by sabotage or accident, chaos reigned. Amidst the destruction, a lone figure moved with purpose, a Mandalorian warrior of Clan Kryze. Perhaps drawn by a whisper of the Force, or simply acting on instinct, this warrior rescued a clutch of the precious eggs from the encroaching flames, unaware of the unique destiny held within one of them.

Within the relative safety of the Mandalorian encampment, the eggs hatched. Most of the emerging convor displayed the intended heightened intelligence, their avian minds sharper and more perceptive than their wild kin. But one hatchling was different. Hu-Tee possessed the skeletal structure of a humanoid, albeit scaled down, standing upright on slender legs. His head was distinctly avian, an owl’s visage complete with large, intelligent eyes and a sharp beak, yet devoid of wings. The accidental infusion of human DNA had yielded a being neither fully convor nor human, a biological anomaly.

The Kryze clan, bound by their ancient code, took the unusual hatchling as a foundling. Raised alongside human children, Hu-Tee aged at an accelerated avian rate. By the time his human peers were toddlers, he had reached his full adult height of 65 centimeters, a diminutive figure amongst the towering Mandalorians, yet possessing a keen intellect that belied his size.

The Mandalorian trials, a rigorous test of combat prowess, survival skills, and adherence to the Resol’nare, were a daunting prospect for any youngling. For Hu-Tee, it presented unique challenges. His lack of wings necessitated a different approach to combat and maneuvering. Yet, his sharp mind, coupled with the ingrained Mandalorian training, allowed him to adapt and excel. He was quick, agile on his feet, and possessed an uncanny spatial awareness. At the remarkably young age of four standard years, a biological age equivalent to a human teenager of sixteen, Hu-Tee faced the trials and passed, earning his place as a true Mandalorian warrior of Clan Kryze, a testament to his resilience and the unexpected consequences of a genetic accident. His existence was a living paradox, a blend of avian instinct and humanoid intellect, forever marked by the Imperial lab fire and the Mandalorian creed that embraced the unexpected.

  • APPEARANCE

He looks like an Owl, and when he places his hands behind his back and bends his knees slightly the resemblance is uncanny. His human dna gives him arms instead of wings which has its positives and negatives but he retains his sharp talons as feet. He also has a tail similar to convor.

  • PERSONALITY

Hu-Tee, despite his diminutive stature, possesses a courage that belies his size. He faces danger head-on, a trait instilled by his Mandalorian upbringing. His preferred method of engagement leans heavily towards silent insertion. Utilizing the cover of darkness, a natural affinity given his owl-like features, he moves with a quiet precision, dispatching targets before their presence is even known. He is the night's shadow, a lethal assassin who favors stealth and efficiency over open confrontation.

His loyalty to Clan Kryze is unwavering, a cornerstone of his being. He embraces the Mandalorian way with a fierce dedication, his unusual origins only strengthening his commitment to the found family who took him in. He would lay down his life without hesitation for his clan and its members.

Hu-Tee is rarely seen without his flock of intelligent convors. These are not mere pets but companions and allies, remnants of the same Imperial experiment that birthed him. Their enhanced intellect allows for a unique bond and coordinated efforts, making them invaluable assets in reconnaissance and even combat. He understands their calls and clicks, a silent language that further enhances his stealthy nature.

His dietary needs are a constant reminder of his avian biology. As an obligate carnivore, Hu-Tee consumes raw meat with an unnerving efficiency. He tends to swallow chunks whole, a stark and visceral act that can be unsettling to those unfamiliar with his unique physiology. This habit, though practical for his metabolism, often sets him apart, a constant echo of his non-human origins within the Mandalorian ranks. Yet, his bravery, loyalty, and skill have earned him respect, his unusual nature ultimately accepted as another facet of the diverse tapestry of his clan.

    STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

OWLINE STRENGTHS: He is lightweight, agile and moves silently. He has peerless night time vision with an excellent eye for detail. He can also rotate his head 270° in either direction and almost 180° upside down.

MANDALORIAN TRAINING: Like all his mandalorian kin he is a formidable warrior although his small stature does limit him.

SMALL STATURE: At 65cm tall and weighing only 8kg he is built like a bird. His armour must be thinner to keep weight down and beyond pistols and more offensive weapons must be specially made and scaled for a smaller size, even more so than other small species because of his lightweight avian physiology.

NOT FORCE SENSITIVE: While not technically a minority, Hu-Tee sometimes feels that way when every man and his dog is throwing around the force and he can't.
