How's the empire and the sith?

So I herd last the sith aren't doing so hot. I'm making a sith character and want to know how their doing so I can write a bio that fits..

The Sith Empire was defeated by the Republic, Fel, CIS and Mandos and are now all in hiding except for the Sith Council. However, there are multiple Sith Factions out there and I personally run the Dark Empire which is currently only a minor faction.
