I want to make this feller here similar to Micah from RDR2 in personality (and overall trustworthiness,) but I don't want it to just be "Micah from RDR2 but he's not a cowboy and he has a laser gun that goes pew pew."

Easy. Make a literal jerk who has the skill to back it up but a bit of shadiness to him. Make him a warlord or some scoundrel (not the Last Jedi kind, that was awful). If you want to take it a step further, have him be some kind of double agent against criminal organizations or a lawful evil type kind of guy, bending the rules to his favor and manipulating those around him. Hope that helps out!

Yeah, that helps. This guy will work for the "greater good", as long as he gets what he wants. He doesn't care about no greater good, just that he gets them credits, bantha-poke. (oh man, that insult stinks..)
