Houses of Jade

It wasn't often she heard things, rumors, thoughts and with Atrisia within the grasp of the One Sith... Junko found herself sad and homesick. Her cousin telling her it would get better as she moved taking in most of the sights around the world of Shri-Tal... its history stretching back to when Atrisia was fledgling and still enslaved to galactic powers. Brought through the gate across the galaxy and they forged a new life here. The massive white tower of the emperor and empress overlooking the city while she walked in the kimono.

"So where is this padawan?" She said it from the pathway and could see from the mountain temple the capital but more then that she still looked every bit the atrisian noble and princess she had been on her homeworld. Service in the military and her training in the ways of the force and magics only making her more of a powerhouse compared to some in her ming and the gleaming bone on her saber was visible from her hip. The vine silk kimono as she moved to the one meeting area.

"Send him to me when he arrives." She had a look on her face while she clasped her hands behind her back. The floral designs of her kimono something of a beauty until she looked dowwn with her mass of hair she had tied with ribbons to keep behind her out of her way. One hand closing the parasol before she stood under one of the trees with its blooms slowly falling.

The wonderlust yovshin swordsman found him on the mysterious planet known as Shri-tal. He had made contact a week ago informing the temple of his intentions and they had given him rights to enter. Niten, his long black hair bristling in the alien air, walked down the path towards his intended instructor and directed meeting area. He took in the view of the mountains and all that life had to offer with in his peripherals. Wasn't that he was fully enjoying his surroundings, no, he was always aware of himself and everything around him. Perception was a skill of survival, especially for a swordsman traveling a dangerous galaxy.

Niten noticed the slender female form in the distance. His eagle sharp eyes picked up on the elegance of her vine silk kimono, her beautiful white skin that quickly pegged her out to be Atrisian. The swordsman sighed in relief as it could of been difficult to make connection with someone of different race or culture. This was good..... well it was good till Niten closed the gap and quickly recognized the woman as [member="Junko Ike"] , a highborn noble and princess to boot. "fek!" He whispered to himself.

Niten would approach the princess and the moment he got into respectable range he would gracefully drop to both knees, his black hakama pampered down and his two dueling sabres firmly secured in his left had, so he could bow properly before her "Your Royal Highness! I am Niten Doraku"

She stood there and looked out when she felt the man approaching and squinted a little to see him until he got close. He was big... which given she was small next to everything meant not a lot. Everyone was bigger then her while he spoke and she had not heard that in awhile. Not many respected titles or position and she had done her research there was history of jedi princes and princesses. This wasn't a new thing but she stood there at the ready and when he approached she looked him over. That name was not as familiar and she knew there were a handful of ones on Atrisia who had been in line given the family history of the emperor. "Welcome Niten." She said it offering a smile and bow of her head. "So how are you finding this world? A piece of home on the other edge of the galaxy can be somewhat jarring at first." But she was more then ready to begin and motioning with her head while she started to walk and opened her parasol. "As to the rest, it is wonderful to see you and I suspect teaching you will be quite fun."

"Arigatō Junkohime!" ((Thank you Lady Junko)) Niten replied back in their native tongue, with a thick husky but flat toned atrisian accent. The swordsman would rise to his feet, stoically and as professionally as he could. Giving the Atrisian Princess another nod of respect before answering her question. "This world is beautiful" His answer was short and to the point. He hadn't explored many worlds as of yet, but his research through the holonet and spacer stories bare truth to that there are far more unpleasant planets to be on.

"I hope I do not disappoint, Junkohime!" This was a good start to a teacher and student relation. He would fall in beside her as she motioned for him to walk with her. He was taught the ways of the warrior by an Yovshin master. He knew the princess would recognize the dueling blades he carried with him and she would know that he was accustomed to the Jar'kai form. Swordplay was his forte but he was on this quest of knowledge not to just fortify his established strengths but to work on new aspects and push his body and soul to and beyond the limits with the force. [member="Junko Ike"] was to guide him, mentor him and teach him such ways. This was a good start.

He self admitted that he was worried the moment he noticed royalty, but such worries were succumbed to the princess's presence and the way she had held herself thus far.

She looked at him and kept walking up the stairs leading to a near solid slab of marble with seats looking out towards the valley. "I am sure you will not. For now I want to see your skill with a blade." She closed the parasol while standing there and slid a small strap from the end clipping it and putting it on her back while she slid her saber hilt from her hip. The smooth silver of the metal offset but the polished bone carapace. The crystals within the saber hilt designed to aid in mental influence in those around her and increase her energy and focus with a calming aura. The feeling of the totem on it with the bone smooth as she touched the curved hilt.

"As you wish, Junkohime!" Niten replied emotionless and stone faced though inside he was grinning like a chesire cat. The blade was what he lived for and no doubt will die by. This was his life and the princess wanted to play. The Yovshin Swordsman removed both dueling swords from his Uwa-obi and gently placing them off to the side. The folded steel made the weapons well endured but no match to the mystical powers of the lightsaber. In this part, Niten had two loner training sabres supplied by the temple till he made his own. Then Atrisian would then distant himself a few paces from his master, collecting his training saber from his left hip with a cross draw absent of the force. Some force practitioners like to be fancy and use telekinesis to draw their preferred weapon but Niten by instincts drilled in by his sensei to always physically draw with a firm grip upon hilt in a cross draw.

He would ignite the lightsaber and placing himself into the ready position, with hands at waist height, sword pointing between opponents eyes, right foot forward, left heel slightly raised. Niten advanced over the forest’s floor, his long black hair flapping in the wind behind him as the bottom of his boots dug into the soft soil. The Atrisian only dealt in death, for such a duel was no different then war... there were no rules and the only victor was the one that was still alive, well this was how he was trained and with such training saber settings death would not follow.

The gap between the two warriors was had and Niten was in distance to strike. His blue lit lightsaber was at the middle position, with the tip of the sword pointed at his opponent's face. It was essential to keep thinking of stabbing said enemy in the face with the tip of you saber for when you have the intention of stabbing your opponent in the face, she will try to get both her face and her body out of the way. When you can get your opponent to shrink away, there are various advantages of which one can avail himself to win. Such were was the science of martial arts the force apprentice was practitioning and placing training to actual use and advantage. So with a quick thrust Niten would try and drive the tip of his saber into the face of the princess.

Junko was looking at him as the force whispered but more then that she could feel herself focused. Like right after an attack your awareness and paranoia became hyper accute that you needed to focus otherwise the paranoia would overtake you. She reached out with the dark amber blade humming before she saw him moving and her body used its small size to move. The length of her hair suspending in the air as she felt the force in her vision halfway seeing him bringing his blade towards her face and time seemed to slow down. Junko curled up her knees tucking into her chest and head remaining on his face.

Slowly she split in two using the white current and aided by her smoke crystal. Its ability to make mental influence stronger while she stepped to both sides and back in the illusions that were made to feel every bit as real from the sounds of her voice coming out while she moved and remained in surprise to the heaving of her chest each one at a different beat almost. To sell it more before she kept moving as the illusions increased moving around into several illusions each with their sabers activated and her presence in the force drowned in the current to conceal herself as she waited there. "Quick but your mind can betray you. Sight can become the enemy and with some the illusions can feel so real you'll not be able to tell the difference."

Niten new the force was capable of much trickery, but to see it first hand as his own blade pierced into an illusion was still awe striking. The wonder kept us as [member="Junko Ike"] surrounded the would be apprentice with more beautiful illusions of herself, all with sabers drawn making the Yovshin swordsman weary of being outnumbered. His heart raced slightly as he drew his second saber, while listening to the multiple and echoing voices of his princess master.

She was learning him in that there was more then meets the eyes and she was learning him good. Though is muscle reflexes were still guiding the warrior as he extended both blades out horizontally to each side of him. He had taken on multiple opponents before, in training and in combat and two the two blade style was the best way of going about it. Reasons for extending your blades in such a fashion was so you could heard your enemies about the field of battle, while parrying, defending and aggressively attacking while on the move in hopes of keeping them coming in somewhat a line.

His body was ready to be attack, but his ears took in the woman's words truly and he was highly impressed. "Teach me!" his husky voice escaped his lips as his sharp eyes kept alert for possible aggression.

The illusions were just that, illusions that couldn't hurt you... per say. Physical reactions to your brain telling you they are real was well an important thing and with the strongest making solid illusions that could last for hours or years. It was not something you usually did unless it was important but some of the people liked to mess around while Junko moved. Her blades moving with her but she was focused and ready while the illusions remained but she was off to the side cloaking herself from sight and sense. Junko let the illusions swing the saber at her padawan as she was gathering pebbles and then picked up a rock. She stood still and spoke letting her voice come out. "Then first lesson, close your eyes and feel it, the force will augment your sense if you let it and allow you to hear the weaknesses that even the greatest users of the white current face." She remained still to let him focus and do as instructed. "Listen to the sounds they do not make, I can make them so accurate they will fool a scanner but there is no weight. you cannot make them heavy, you cannot make them react to shifting ground or weight sensors. It will not make a sound unless the maker wants to focus on it and most do not mimic footsteps."
