Hostile Takeover

Adron was feeling very proud of himself right now. In the back of his mind he toyed with the idea of having an entire corporation to bend to his will. It had been some time. His father had owned a modest shipping Company that provided services to nearly half The Dominion. Of course, when Adron was exiled there was no possible way for him to take his company with them. Their assets were too heavily rooted in Serenno and he could not make such a thing happen. Perhaps now he could have done such a thing but at that time it was impossible. So he liquidated his company, using the credits to keep him afloat ever since he left that part of the galaxy. It had been an extensive treasury to be sure, yet after supporting his lavish tastes and being exerted several times it was all but diminished. This wealth would pale in comparison to the one he held on Serenno and it would be virtually eternal so long as he played his cards right. When his apprentice spoke up he arched a brow before speaking evenly. "You'll learn. As the President the most important thing is learning the language and finding a proper Board of Directors to work under you. However unlike our predecessor we will not be giving away shares of our company."

They made it back to the turbolift and Adron clasped his hands behind his back. He considered his words but in the next moment spoke again. "I will legally own eighty percent of the Company and you will own twenty." It was quite obvious that Adron made no illusions on the reality of the situation. It was his company, not theirs, he was merely letting her run it for him. He eyed her closely, watching to see if she argued or made the slightest show of discontent. "That is plenty, correct?" He challenged, his words accented by the soft ring that the turbolift gave off once they arrived at the base of their landing pad. He would listen closely for her answer and be prepared to deliver the lesson beyond her response, if it was improper.

Their shuttle stood where it had before their conversation with the Board. Adron paused, gazing at it searchingly for a moment before glancing over his shoulder. He seemed to be looking back over to the main entrance they had just traveled through. He said nothing, yet a slight smile began to creep over his face. "Let's leave this rock. We have more work to be done." Adron would make his way to their ship's loading ramp with an almost eager expression. The Dark Side of the Force had been flowing from him so freely for the briefest of moments, yet now it was safely shrouded once again. It was almost as if he was spilling his essence into the world, leaving a sign that he had been here. A taunt. But who was he taunting?

"The company will fund our future endeavors and more. It will still be a while before it is up and running however." He said, ducking into the ship's cockpit. In the next minute they were lifting off of their landing pad and rocketing towards the skies. Adron did not wait until they were clear of the atmosphere, the moment the hypercodes were accepted the ship shot into hyperspace, giving a rather violent rock as they left this planet and their carnage behind. Relaxing in his seat he let out a deep exhale. Regardless of his confidence there was much danger with what they had done, but it seemed they would not be paying any price today. "You did well. Very well. I believe you will be a great asset to me." He said, offering her a brief smile before turning his attention to the controls before him. Yes, they were sure to be an interesting team.

She nodded softly at Adron's words. The thought of diving into an entirely new language was moderately appealing, especially one so different from the standard Galactic basic she was used too. Dianah also had no doubt that Adron already had a good idea of who was going to be on the board of directors so that was one less thing to worry about. 'That's an extremely smart idea. Obviously they had a lot of downfalls when running the business but...' She paused for a moment and turned to glance at her master. 'I have zero experience running a business and even to me, giving away shares of your company seems like a ridiculous idea.' Dianah tucked herself into the turbo-lift next to him and focused her eyes on the clear glass doors as they slid shut in front of them.

'Of course.' Dianah nodded. Her face contained the same sombre expression it had donned when they had entered the meeting. She had expected nothing less. In fact, she would have been more shocked and surprised if he had given the majority share to her. 'That is more then plenty, Master. In truth I didn't expect any shares at all.' The doors of the turbo-lift slid open to reveal the landing pad they had originally come in through. Her eyes flicked up briefly to the man standing beside her, just in time to catch his exploratory gaze. There was little else to be said on it, but she did hope that what she had said was right. If she was honest with herself, every move she had made today was done in order to impress him. To prove her worth. To show him that she was important enough to be kept around, useful enough to be called upon and relevant enough to stand by his side.

Dianah exited the turbo-lift one large stride at a time, carefully measuring each step in order to keep up with Adron. He stopped short of the ramp and Dianah came to a halt with him. The flow of the dark side wrapped around her eagerly, exploring every inch and forcing the briefest of smiles on her face. The sensation of someone else's power coursing through her veins would never grow old, especially considering the extent of Adron's abilities. She turned to flash him the soft grin that had slowly been making a permanent home on her face. 'Yes, lets.' The sudden disappearance of his freely flowing power snapped Dianah back into reality and she made her way up the ramp back to the comfortable confines of the cockpit.

Once settled in her seat Dianah lent back against the headrest of the chair and let out a subtle sigh. She was both impressed with herself and with how smoothly Adron had prepared and executed everything. If one thing was for sure, they would make a good duo. It seemed Adron thought the same as the his sort-of compliment came moments later. Dianah half-turned in his chair to return the smile at the silver man. 'Well, thank you for giving me the opportunity to prove my worth. I look forward to to cementing my usefulness further.'

The day had passed appropriately. With this, Adron had been able to not only test his apprentice when she was in the throws of the true galaxy, he had cemented a stable source of income to fund his endeavors. Of course, it was a paltry amount compared to what he had planned. The owner of a company was certainly an impressive feat. However, it would mean nothing, when the Sith Lord was named a King.

He eyed Dianah closely, searching for any sign of doubt or weakness that would cause him to turn her away. There was none. He smiled softly, leaning back into his chair with a slight expression of amusement. "Very well. Let's return." With that the two would make their way far from this world, carving the beginning of their conquests into history.
