OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a barricade that will act as cover on battlefields for the Bral clan.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Ability to toggle on and off multiple small ray shield emitters that allow for physical objects to pass through and block energy based projectiles and weaponry.
  • These slots also have Turadium shutters that can slide down to block off the slots in case the shields are neutralized or in case of transport.
STRENGTHS
  • The Horax Blast Walls are extremely effective at stopping projectiles and other weapons that would be commonly deployed on the battlefield such as small arms fire, heavy weapons fire, indirect artillery blasts, and so forth without much damage. They can, however, be destroyed by direct artillery fire or anti-heavy vehicle weaponry.
WEAKNESSES
  • While durable, the Horax Blast Walls are very heavy and only capable of being transported by equipment suited for heavy lifting. Once in place, they are difficult to move.
  • The Blast Walls are capable of fending off physical and energy based assaults, however the walls themselves do not have any EMP resistant materials and as such the multiple small emitters can be deactivated by ion based weaponry, EMP grenades, and harsh electrical currents.
DESCRIPTION

The Horax Blast Walls combines the tried and true method of physical barriers and basic tactics involving Ray Shields. While projectiles and enemy fire will need to pass through a double layer of Turadium in order to damage soldiers covered by the walls, the soldiers behind the walls can push the barrels of their weapons through the shielded slots in order to return fire from almost total cover. They serve the important role of fortifying forward command stations or key locations.

The Blast Walls stand at roughly 1.5 meters tall and are approximately 0.1 meters wide at the base.
