Hopeful Inspections

Nerius stood in the first of many additional rooms that would be added to the Hall of Mastery: the Meditation Room. Though it was named such, that was strictly for those to know that it was the Force training room. It wasn't strictly made for meditation.

Against the walls lay target sensors, so those whom utilized physical aspects of the Force could have practice hitting their marks. In the center of the room was a small pedestal that would raise when activated, putting the adept high into a box built in the ceiling, so they could see nothing happening in the room, which allowed them to train in skills such as Force Shadow or Far-Sight.

It was a state of the art room for things that time immemorial had procured.

Leaving the room, Nerius headed to the library, which stood an astounding 64 feet high, with databanks that reached almost as tall. The information stored within was all that could be allocated. Not simply Sith history, but that of each planet, amassed intellect of Factions which had laid claim to domains over the centuries.

Nerius was not biased. He wanted all the information that could be obtained.

Then across the floor he noticed a shadow zoom by, one of a large avian form. Glancing up he spotted Cloudbreakers form as she gently floated down before himself. Nuzzling her Master with her beaked head, he patted her affectionately. In a matter of just weeks, she had gone from a few feet in height to nearly 8, with a wingspan of around 16 feet. It was the main reason the building was so massive; if Nerius was going to utilize the Wind Raiders as police, he needed room for the more agile breeds to enter.

It was still a bit cramped for them when fully grown, but it allowed swift entrance for their riders if the need ever arose.

Returning to his walk, Nerius smiled at the Fleft-wauf as it followed beside him, "Where is your Beta? I have not seen him today. Is he still hunting? Or has he found another female to try and hassle?" She cocked her head at him, and he chuckled, "Hassling. Gotcha."

As they neared the exit, he watched her lithe form take flight and leave through the large window carved into the wall overhead. She landed on the platform just past the door to wait for him. Once they were reunited he grinned, "Why must you always bother me? Don't you have a life?"

She looked down, sagging a bit, as if saddened that she bothered him. Patting her wing he chuckled, "Relax, I am joking." Instantly she brightened and squawked at him.

"Fly then. Show me what your made of!" As soon as the words were out of his mouth, the large predator shot for the edge of the platform and took flight. As she swooped, dived, barrel rolled and so many other things, Nerius wondered if Sage would show. He had sent the Lord a request to come and look over his process.

He did not know if he was doing things properly. Should a Will attempt to move so swiftly? Would the Emperor be angry? He simply wanted another's opinion, and he only knew Sage really. They had been near each other during the invasion...

Watching as Cloudbreakers wings beat against the wind beneath her, he couldn't help but feel envious. It had been only a short time ago that he was freed of the confines that were the Safe Harbor Orphanage, then to last only a few weeks before finding a way to tie himself down once again. He wanted so badly to be up among the clouds as the bird was...

Closing his eyes he pondered deeply what it would be like! He could almost feel the floor give way beneath him. The floating feeling of true flight seemed to stretch over him...

"Sir!?"

Nerius was jerked from his thoughts by Luro, whom was frightened to see the Pink Monster flying 3 full feet in the air! As well during his visions, which had caused him to actually fly, had allowed him to move several feet forward beyond the protective railing of the platform.

No longer under the serenity of his imagination, Nerius felt his eyes widen as he instantly began to drop below sight.

A screech could be heard in the distance behind himself. But Nerius hardly noticed it, for he had rolled to face downward, watching the encroaching clouds. That near same serenity spread across his body, letting his limbs relax and a smile stretch the flesh of his face. If he had to die....why not here and now??

But suddenly there was a halt to the speed at which he dropped, to the point that it was excruciatingly painful! Yet he glanced upward, to see Shadowstryke's indigo eyes glaring angrily down at him! The bird which dwarfed his sisters minor 8 feet length, by nearly 8 more himself, was strong enough to carry his father with ease!

Rising straight upward, the bird deposited Nerius where he had been, then landed nearby, angrily huffing as he continued to glare at Nerius. Luro raced over, having first to to dismount his own Fleft-wauf, "Sir! What happened!? I came to alert you of a delivery from your father, and found you floating over the railing!"

"I don't know..." Nerius murmured as he approached Shadowstryke, and began to stroke his face lovingly. The bird couldn't stay angry, and ended up nuzzling his hand back, "Anyway, what is it? The package I mean."

"It seems like some sort of protective glass case. Inside it is an old piece of paper...?" Luro replied, and to which Nerius waved a hand.

"Have it brought here. I wish to see what it is." Nerius stated.
