Intent: Add a new dynamic in roleplays considering the use of lightsaber resistant armor.
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Intergalactic Solutions
Model: TI-1 Hand Cannon
Affiliation: Intergalactic Solutions
Modularity: None
Production: Minor
Material: Titanium

Classification: Slugthrower
Size: Handheld
Length: 20cm
Weight: 2.5kg
Ammunition Type: Armor piercing tungsten bullet
Ammunition Capacity: 1 shot
Effective Range: Point blank at 2 meters
Max Range: Good luck hitting anything beyond 10 meters
Rate of Fire: N/A

Strengths & Weaknesses:
+ Near holdout size :: This allows for ease of concealment and carry.
+ Armor piercing :: The gun is supposed to be shot at point blank range. Combined with its armor piercing bullet, the bullet should tear into all but the strongest of armor.
+/- Ballistic :: The bullet's damage comes purely from kinetic energy, thereby jeopardizing armor not adequate for physical blows. It is subject to ballistics just like every other bullet, though, especially if used from medium to far ranges.
- Range :: Firearms are designed to be used at a long range to prevent melee combat. However, the hand cannon was required to be used at point blank range. Any use of it from further away would be horribly inaccurate. There are no sights, too, that could be used.
- Capacity :: The hand cannon could only hold one bullet in order to maintain its semi-holdout function. Expenditure of the bullet would require immediate reloading - assuming additional bullets were being carried.
- Painful :: Use of the hand cannon was far from gentle. Just one use would cause the forearm to be sore and stress joints. Repeated short term use would fracture bone.

Description: Use of energy resistant armor, such as cortosis weave, had been noted by Sith troops to be growing in popularity. The genius minds of Titan Industries decided to make a weapon that would accommodate for the lack of firearm experience that most Sith have.

The holdout handcannon was compact enough for it to reside under the robe or tunic of a Sith. Since it was required to be used at point blank range, it did not require for the SIth to be an expert marksman. Even Sith Commanders carried one in the event that they faced an opponent with energy resistant armor while using blasters.

Cortosis was the most susceptible to the hand cannon due to its brittle nature. Non optimal alloys of very durable materials such as Mandalorian iron and phrik were also at risk of being damaged by the hand cannon. The optimal alloys of Mandalorian iron and phrik were usually able to block a single shot - yet the kinetic energy would still ripple through the armor and body of the wearer and potentially cause damage.

The holdout hand cannon used non-standard ammunition.

What is the effective range? Maximum range? Estimates if you don't know for sure. I know you said point blank but if someone snatches this up and claims it can shoot 15 meters away and they believe that to be -point blank- I'd be a bit iffy. Ya know?

That will work.

Again, just wanted it to be fleshed out to ensure accuracy of the submission before use. One last bit, any particular munition size? .50? 20mm? It is possible I am missing it.
