"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope... Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds."

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Minor Lightsaber Resistance - The majority of the droid is composted of special phrik-lined durasteel, garnering HK-47 a minor amount of lightsaber resistance, meaning the metal can survive perhaps a couple glancing blows, but no heavy strikes.

  • Medium Ion/EMP Resistance - Several combat deionizers have been integrated into the droid chassis, making sure that an enemy can't just blast HK with an ion rifle to defeat him.

  • Major Kinetic Resistance - While lightsabers will have next to no issues piercing through the droid, vibroblades will find themselves hindered attempting to slice through the metal. On the otherhand, slugthrowers will most likely pierce through the armor due to their nature and general speed compared to blades.

  • Major Blaster Resistance - Composed of thick and durable materials, the droid can withstand many blaster bolts impacting on his frame, although heavy blasters and those specially designed to penetrate may find their mission completed with ease.
Strengths:

  • Hunter-Killer - The pinnacle of the class four subgroup of assassin droids (atleast during the Old Republic), HK is knowledgeable in almost all forms of combat, being most proficient in sniping and demolitions. He also carries a vast database, complete with demonstations, on assassination protocols and how to kill Jedi, both being his specialities.

  • Updated Hardware - HK-47's chassis has been reconstructed to fit this era's standards of technology. Composed mostly of phrik-lined durasteel and titanium-reinforced alusteel, he benefits from resistances ranging from minor to major for several types of weaponry including lightsabers, ion, and blasters. Also featured are several deadly integrated armament systems such as the explosive micro-missile launchers.

  • Sociopath - Some say it's a part of his personality chip, others believe that it was achieved through countless years of metaprogramming, but HK-47 has developed what many droids (save for some of your hardcore battle droids) just can't; A complete and utter apathy, bordering on disdain, for organics, or 'meatbags' as he likes to call them. A useful trait, especially when owned by a Sith, as having a moral droid would most likely hinder to their efforts.
Weaknesses:

  • Just One Droid - As much as he wishes to believe it, HK-47 is not a 'one man army'; Depending on the circumstances, HK will suffer tremendously when pitted against larger groups (based on skill), most likely concluding in his disassembly.

  • Outdated Software - While the body is new, the information stored in the datacore dates back millennia ago (i.e. Windows 95), and while his assassination protocols will never go out of style; They are rather ineffective when facing a modern enemy with ancient information. This also hinders his slicing, as his routine is used for terminals dating back to the era of the Old Republic, almost totally useless against modern computer systems. It also allows for himself to be sliced more efficiently by enemies who have bypassed his combat protocols

  • Sociopath - Throughout his lifetime, HK-47 has become notorious for indirectly killing his allies as well as his own masters; Even though he grieves, or whatever a droid does, over the death of his master, he demonstrates a complete lack of such a thing for someone that may have even been considered his friend at one point. The point is; Friend or Foe, you're going to get shot by HK eventually.

  • Close Quarters Disaster - When facing enemies that choose to employ melee weapons, while resistant against them, HK-47 suffers tremendously in the realm of close combat. While he is smart enough to stab the thing, he is by no means a duelist, and should a Jedi or Sith manage to get up close to him, no amount of phrik or witty remarks will keep him from being destroyed.
DESCRIPTION

History

At the twilight of the Mandalorian Wars, the commander of the Republic forces, then-Jedi Knight Revan, sought to decisively end the war. This resulted in the subsequent activation of the Mass Shadow Generator on Malachor V, which devastated the planet for all eternity. Immediately after the end of the war did Revan and his friend, Malak, delve into the Dark Side of the Force, becoming corrupted in the process. Now a Dark Lord of the Sith, Revan set in motion his machinations to bring about the end of the Galactic Republic.

Not wishing to relive the horrors of Malachor; Darth Revan decided to adopt a different, more surgical approach towards achieving his goals. As part of this new method, he designed a droid model based off Czerka Corporation's own HK-24 along with several modifications of his own to create the perfect killing machine. Thus HK-47 was born, programmed for maximum efficiency in dispatching the political opponents of Revan with precision and professionalism. With loyalty that knew no bounds to his Master, HK-47 was eventually programmed to designate all organics as 'meatbags', to the amusement of Revan and chagrin of Malak.

Several years and several masters past, HK-47 participated in important galactic events which included the destruction of the Star Forge with a redeemed Revan and the Battle of Telos IV with the Jedi Exile, Meetra Surik. Over three hundred years would pass before he reunited with his Master, Revan, at the Foundry, another Rakatan construct, until he was destroyed defending the facility by a strike team sent by the Sith Empire. Some time later, he was reconstructed to serve a rogue Sith Lord known as Malgus during his military coup, until he was once again destroyed by another elite strike team.

Other copies of the original HK-47 surfaced in the galaxy at this time, created by an intelligence entity known as the 'Shroud'. But the original still remained destroyed, his head having been smuggled off of Malgus' space station and onto the planet of Ilum where he would remain dormant for the next three thousand years. While Revan had died and become one with the Force, acknowledged as one of the most powerful Force users in history, HK-47 remained forgotten in a cavern, resigned to an icy hell for the next three thousand years.

Circa 850 ABY, after the disastrous Omega War and the subsequent First Imperial/Alliance Conflict; An aspiring Sith Acolyte called Nadia Vytuia journeyed to Ilum, now controlled by the ruthless Iron Empire, to acquire a kyber crystal for her first lightsaber. After failing to cross a chasm, the young woman discovered the droid head in a satchel that her crystal had guided her to. Activating him with a spare power cell, HK-47 awoke from a millennia-long slumber, she then proceeded to strike a deal with the droid; She would find him a body, he would provide her with servitude and the means to acquire a lightsaber.

Infiltrating a secure Czerka facility on Barab I, Nadia and HK would soon discover a revived project called 'HK-188'. Delving deeper into the facility, HK transferred himself into the empty droid chassis, saving his new master not a second too early from a security droid that had discovered them. It was the beginning of a beautiful companionship, but knowing the sociopathic droid, it may not last as long as he would want...

Overview

HK-47 is an advanced assassin droid built during the Old Republic era when Jedi and Sith were as prevalent as they are in the modern era. Constructed and modified by Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Revan, he is a master of stealth and assassination, capable of dispatching even the most heavily guarded target with the right equipment. Somewhat uncommon for a droid, HK-47 is an expert mechanic, capable of diagnosing and repairing himself as he sees fit, which is not often as he considers himself 'perfection' already.

A trait that has become paramount to HK-47 is his apathetic and frankly misanthropic attitude towards sentient organics, as being programmed solely to kill them seems have a requirement for wishing to kill everything other than his master. Unfortunately, HK is not a designated battle droid, meaning he lacks the efficiency to take on large groups head-on, instead opting for a much more stealth-oriented path in order to achieve optimal results.

As part of his deal with his new master; HK recently acquired a new body composed mostly of phrik-lined durasteel and titanium-reinforced alusteel, providing him a plethora of resistances, both minor and major, against most conventional weapon such as lightsabers and blasters. But while his exterior has been updated, his internal software is over three thousand years old. While not necessarily a terrible thing, it does serve as a drawback of HK-47. This has also affected his slicing abilities, as he is used to terminals from the Old Republic era, although some terminals might just crack if he tries hard enough.

Overall, even as old as he is; HK-47 still remains the perfect assassin droid, hellbent on serving his master to the best of his ability, regardless of ideology, political beliefs, or morality. He is lethality combined with a professional demeanor. He served Darth Revan, Meetra Surik, and Darth Malgus; but now he will serve Nadia.

THIS IS A CANON ITEM

Hello, I'll be the factory judge reviewing your submission. If you have questions, please feel free to respond to this thread once we are underway.

This looks good, just need a few things clarified:
  • how does the droid deal with slicing?
  • how does he deal with kinetic damage?
Explain the above and we should be all set.

Add this to weaknesses and I'll stamp this.

If this is a weakness, please expand that he can be sliced himself as a proper weakness.

Your current weaknesses are more personality aspects than actual hard weaknesses. Please review and consider what would be weaknesses for Droids other than personality aspects, especially since you upgraded his chassis.
