Other Space Kaiden

Better than other-other space Kaiden
(Originally written and posted by Darth Voracitos)

Eras of the Empire:
The Old Sith Empire
Pre-Sidic Era:
In this long Era prior to the formation of the current incarnation of the Sith Empire, fragments of Sith and Imperial Aligned Remnants that had survived and/or evolved from before the Dark Ages, are scattered throughout the current Imperial sector. Eventually, a plausibly charismatic Sith by the name of Darth Sidic brings a handful of them to the Unification of the Empire. There is a high possibility that many of these factions were ready to unify, it just so happened that Sidic was the first to do so. Thus his Legacy lives on, no matter what form it has taken.

Sidic Era:
This much shorter era, is essentially a Chaotic power struggle between several lords of the Sith and the "Head of the Dark Council" which at the time, held only one member, that being Darth Sidic himself. At this point the Empire was more of a loose Confederacy of a handful worlds. There isn't much to say about this era, "government" seemed to be an abstract word to this baby Sith "Empire".

Triumvirate Era:
Darth Sidic is powerless when a restructuring is called and supposedly organized by Future Emperor, Darth Moridin. A Triumvirate is suggested, separating the three leaders to specific roles of governing. These three were divided into Pillars, being the Pillar of Strength, Power, and Knowledge. The Heads of these Pillars were:
  • Darth Moridin, the Pillar of Strength and commander of the warriors
  • Disciple, the Pillar of Power and commander of the sorcerers
  • Darth Voracitos, the Pillar of Knowledge and the commander of government.

The First Dynasty Era:
Darth Moridin assumes control as Emperor, blooding the streets of Dromund Kaas of anyone opposing him, with the help of such followers as the former Triumvirate members and those loyal to him. The Pillars remain intact however, but Darth Moridin facilitates greater control, with Diciple and Voracitos acting as top advisers. In this Era, three invasions of Mandalorian space are issued, two are monumentally successful, the third is disputable after a recent power shift in the Imperial Government.

The Second Dynasty Era:
Darth Desmius (Ashin Varanin) plans and deploys a coup on the capital, resulting in an unprecedentedly bloodless power transfer, the former Emperor simply leaving. The Pillar of Knowledge is in outrage and assaults the usurper, challenging her to a duel to determine her worth. The result is the Pillar of Knowledge is made first among her equals as Head of the Dark Council. This period is marked by unprecedented growth and the inclusion of one of the last Imperial Remnants into their ranks. This Dynasty ends with a battle against the Republic, in Darth Voracitos attempts to assassinate the Empress, and effectively drives her out of the Empire, and many of those who supported her.

New Dark Council Era:
Having disposed of incompetent Dark Councillors having been present in Darth Desmius's rule, Voracitos gets the idea in his head that the position of Emperor should not be claimed. Apparently his theory was to drive traitors and those opposed to the power shift out into the open for slaughter. It doesn't seem to work as planned. Not much happens in this period, the Dark Council seemed unable to effectively control the territory, with too many opinions, and too much talking rather than action. The Invasion of Mandalore fails in this Era, despite heavy Mandalorian losses. This Era ends when Velok becomes fed up with the Dark Councils lack of hasty decision, and "appoints" Darth Voracitos as Emperor.

The Third Dynasty Era:
Voracitos accepts, but not before telling them that he was always in power to begin with, making sure that Darth Sidic failed to rule effectively, manipulating Moridin to cause the formation of the Triumvirate, then again, Manipulating Moridin to become Emperor so Voracitos could rule by proxy, explaining his motive behind killing Ashin being as "She was leading the Sith down a path of destruction. She was a road block.". He finishes by saying that the Sith's privilege to pretend to rule has been revoked for their incompetence to see reason. At first it would seem that this reign would be full of growth and opportunity, with an Emperor attempting to manipulate the Galactic Stage into a state of war. He attempted to persuade the Mandalorians to stay away by promising the Empires land to them upon his death, he had made tentative allies with the CIS, had attempted to overthrow the Hutt Cartel government to turn it into a puppet state, and upon its failure tried to soften relations to a point where they might be allies. Of course, eventually the Emperor would have a shocking vision that put him into hiding. The Mandalorians didn't really listen or care about his proposition (especially since the Mandalorians had shifted in power), he never fulfilled his negotiations for compensation with the Hutt Cartel, and during an event at Polis Masa (which resulted in defeat) relations with the CIS broke into fragility that hasn't yet been repaired due to the Emperor's inevitable death, of which he had been thrown into paranoia over by his vision. Due to his vision of death, as all sith, he attempted to cheat it, but surrounding himself with Alchemical Guards created by only the most legendary Alchemist available in the Empire, and plans to build a Superweapon.

At some point, the Empire became fed up with Voracitos, and under the lead of Tyrin Ardik, a small coup of Sith was led to bring down to obese top heavy government. The Ethereal Slaves worked perfectly, holding back the room of Sith while Voracitos was virtually left alone, other than the "coup leader" of whom he consider to be a toy. The battle was fast and voracious, dying out almost as quickly as it was begun. A tiny prick was all that was needed to bring the massive beast down. The Emperor's own invention, the Force-Containment Collar, had been used to shiv a bit of ixetal cilona, negating his force powers. In an ordinary force user, this would have been pretty bad, for the impossibly obese supported only in the force, it was lethal. The Third Dynasty ended in blood.

The Fourth Dynasty Era:
With Emperor Voracitos killed, Tyrin assumes control over the Empire and begins a new regime within the Empire, utterly rebuilding it from the ground up. He already had to deal with a coup against him not long after assuming control, and then had to defend Metalorn from a Republic Invasion, in which an Imperial victory could be graciously claimed for the first time in a long while. The New Regime seems to be working now that Voracitos's consolidation of power has been ended with his death, and the disappearance of his mysterious unfinished "Superweapon".
