Ultimatum
Duranium Lord
Now was the time to continue moving. LOOM was making allies and expanding its influence. Ultimatum decided that it would have to expand further into the galaxy, thus far LOOM had been limited to the nearer half of the galaxy. He hoped, in this bold move, that perhaps he could extend the company's reach into the other half. He did not expect much. His plan was to set up another base of operation on the planet Mimban, far away from Mustafar to be sure, but the ability to have a factory closer to Jedi space he hoped would allow him to finally step out from under the Sith that he had almost always been forced to work alongside.
He never complained of course, and he tried to never allow the Sith to know his feelings about them. He instead pretended that they were allies, being capable of such with little difficulty, as an advanced droid he could take any emotion and make it look authentic. His feelings were that he had seen the dark side, the destruction that it had caused over the millennia of history that he had been able to collect. He saw them as dangers to the galaxy, dangers to his plan. The Jedi he hoped would understand what he had in mind, the Republic too. However, he was not going to tell them of his plan, not yet. For now he had to go on, push forth into their side of the galaxy.
The issue was that he was actually getting closer to the Sith controlled part of the galaxy, but at the same time he was moving towards the rest of the space. That was what concerned him. He had a few acquaintances in the Sith, he actually needed to talk about one about some work that he wanted to experiment with on Coruscant.
Ultimatum had had the largest ship that had been bought awhile ago, capable of handling hundreds of tons of materials, filled with the resources he believed he would require. He had also had the Fate put into the ship's hangar for the long trip. He looked forward to seeing if any freelancers would join him on this endeavor. His studies of the planet had shown that while the controlling population had been open to offworlders, the population that had control of the cave systems were very hostile and Ultimatum assumed that he would have to try and fight through them before coming to an agreement. He needed to set up a mining station so that the factory could supply the majority of its needs without having to import materials from Mustafar, that was simply too far a run to make it worthwhile. Perhaps in the future.
