Hiring the Hunters

Jonas Huen, a member of the PharmaTech Board of directors, had just managed to contact the leader of the Beast Hunter's guild, a Togorian name Mrreww. He'd be here any moment now. He knew what he was going to bargain for, what he was going to offer, and had approval from the rest of the board on what to do. All he had to do was wait, and keep his head on a swivel. A deal like this could mean a great deal to the company in the coming years. No pressure right?

The Okyaab class freighter utilized as the Beast Hunter Guild's mobile headquarters landed outside the Endor offices, lowering itself slowly onto the landing pads. A few moments aftewards, an oversized ramp lowered itself from the side of the ship, allowing Mrrew to step down. The Togorian glanced up to the building for a moment, glancing around the area around it, before stepping down the ramp onto the walkway, and into the building.

Once inside, he walked up to the front desk, and informed the sectreary droid of his meeting. This could go very well, or very badly. A contract with the subsidiary of one of the largest companies in the galaxy could be a lot of help with his new buisness. He just hoped that he wouldn't screw this up...

The secretary droid would tell the Togorian he was expected before escorting him to the elevator, up to the top floor, three door to the right before dropping him off to meet Jonas Huen, an Atrisian board member and the face of PharmaTech.

"Mr. [member="Mrrew"] I assume? I hope the ride over to Endor found you well."

Mrrew shook hands with Jonas, and smiled. That's what you were supposed to do when you met people, right? Of course with his short muzzle, the smile did nothing more then show sharp pointed teeth, probably not doing much to reassure the human.

"Everything went well. I was in the system, in fact." Little did the Pharmatech man know, he was actually on the east side of Endor, training rebel soldiers. But 'in the system' sounded better...

The Togorian glanced around the little room, before returning his attention to Jonas. "So, should we start?"

Though the sight of the nearly 2.5 meter tigerman was admittedly intimidating Jonas Huen returned a firm, though obviously lesser strengthed, handshake. Part of being a negotiator meant being able to deal with varied species, and Jonas Huen was up to the task.

"Yes, let's get too it." Jonas replied, pulling out a small stack of paper. "This is the contract our legal team drew up. Basically it says that in return for us providing you with complementary tranquilizer rifles and ammunition we'll get a bulk discount on all purchases. We'll start with a shipment of half a dozen rifles and 500 SmartTranq Ballistic Syringes and as time goes on or the guild gets larger or the guild completes more jobs for us we'll increase the frequency and or size of shipments."

Mrrew took the papers from the man, and began to read them over. For about five seconds. Was he really supposed to read through all that? He was pretty sure they weren't going to scam him, so he grabbed a pen from the man's desk, and started scribbling a very messy signature everywhere where he needed to.

"That sounds perfect. we'll give you an 80% discount on everything, plus discounts on bulk deals?"

The Togorian stopped signing, and looked up at the human again, handing him the stack of papers covered in his messy signature. It wasn't exactly easy to write with a pen that was as big as your little finger.

Jonas Huen nodded enthusiastically. "That'd be perfect." He said as the man signed the contract, notably with difficulty. Note to self, get varying sized pens for different species. Jonas thought to himself as the Togorian finished the signing. Jonas took out his own pen and began signing in various areas, filling out the agreed upon percentages.

"Now, we have a partial of the shipment here" He said, after palming the safe of a nearby lock, it opening to reveal a crate. Taking out the crate and opening it revealed one of the Chiru Rifles, and a supply of eighty SmartTranq ballistic Syringes, each organized into categories of differing weights. "The rest will be delivered to wherever you like, I just figured you'd like to get a feel of it. These maximum concentration darts? Will stop a Gorax flat." He said, referring to one of the beasts of Endor, ones that could grow up to 30 meters in height. "And, if you're ready, we do have a list of targets we'd like to acquire." He said, getting on to the possibility of future contracts.

Mrrew turned his gaze onto the rifle, and quickly picked it up from the case, weighing it's weight. He looked down the scope, raising it up as if he was going to fire it at the wall. After standing like that for a moment, he smiled, and put it back in the case. If these things would take out a Gorax, imagine what it would do to a Terentatek... He smiled.

"That's perfect. The shipments can be taken to the cargo bay of my ship, outside. It serves as the Guild's mobile headquarters, for now."

The Togorian turned towards Jonas, baring his teeth in another smile. "Now. What kind of contracts do you need?"

[[OOC: Side question: If these things can take out a Gorax, wouldn't they kill smaller things? Like, say, Vorksnrs or even Rancors?]]

Jonas Huen pulled out a datapad. "Now, these aren't necessarily big game, but stuff we'd feel would be highly profitable if we could isolate in any case. To start our guys want a dozen crystal snakes a couple of Hssiss, and three dozen Kouhun. All alive. Bonuses for additional samples of course, but those are the minimum shipments we need. Payment will also include restocking of Ballistic Syringes, and for every two jobs done we'll get you another Rifle and another 80 syringes, organized how the Beast Guild pleases." Jonas explained, as he entered a few commands into his datapad. "And a few shipping droids are loading the rest of your shpment into your ship."

Mrrew raised his eyebrows at the requests. Two of those he'd never heard of before, but he'd read about Hssiss... these were deadly creatures he was dealing with. But if it meant tranqulizers powerful enough to knock out a fething Gorax? Definitly worth it

"I'll have my hunters get to work on it. Obviously, it's going to be a bit pricey to catch things like Hssiss, but your discounts will make it all basically pocket change... We'll need some time, as well, of course to capture these things. They don't grow on trees, and they don't paticularly like being tranqulized, stuck in a cage, and shipped halfway across the galaxy. Do you have any preferences on the creatures? Male or female? Young?"

Mrrew watched one of the droids for a second, picturing the powerful weapons inside the crate it was hefting.

"I am sure, though, this will be... mutually benificial."

He turned to the man with another tooth bearing smile.

"It's a pleasure doing buisness with you."

[[OOC: When they are eventually captured, do you want me to make a thread shipping them to you, or what?
Also, i've been meaning to say this since the day I joined the forums; I love your playby. Sylar in swrp...]]

"We understand that it'll take some time to acquire the subjects, but we have faith in the abilities of your guild. A mix of male and female is preferable, and we'll provide bonus pay if the targets are equally distributed." Jonas replied. "As for shipping, once you've got the beasts trapped go ahead and just send us a message and we'll pick it up and pay you for it(@me at the end of a thread where you do a job and I'll have a guy pick it up IC)."

"We really look forward to making a long business relationship with the Beast Hunters guild. Thanks for coming by, and don't be afraid to come to us again."

[member="Mrrew"]

Mrrew just nodded as the man went on, and smiled as he finished.

"I'll have my hunters make sure that the Hssisss are a breedable pair. I look forward to our buissness, Jonas."

The Togorian smiled and turned around, leaving without another word for his ship. He had alot of paperwork to type up...
