Hettyc Hut'uun

far out, man
The elevator was lonely, and probably was the longest one of his life. Lights occasionally flickered across Tracyn's facial features as he was riding down several hundred stories, all the way to the ground level. Or whatever was left of the ground on Coruscant, the concrete and steel city replacing what could have been a nice place, minus the volcanoes and whatnot. His eyes turned out to the Jedi temple, and then sighed as he leaned his head on the glass, and then looked upward from leaning on the glass, facing the broken glass. He turned towards the door opening, not expecting having to share the elevator. His eyes turned to the door, and then widened.

"Well. This is a surprise."He said to his wife, @[member="Asha Seren"]. She didn't exactly look happy. He took in a deep breath. Being an enclosed space with her, especially right now, was not something he was looking forward to.

While the doors of the turbolift were still open the Knight seemed somewhat composed, save for that look in her eye which only really Tracyn could identify. The moment they closed, and dropped a few feet, however, her hand lashed out and caught his neck. With her somewhat unexpected strength she pressed him back against the wall of the elevator, and used her free hand to press the emergency stop button. This would give them a little extra time than they otherwise would have had. Glaring at her husband she was silent, to begin with. And then she could not hold it in any longer...

"What the Kriff do you think you're doing, Kobe?" When the last word was spoken she slammed him back against the wall again, her strength now not only its natural-intensity but also aided by the Force. "Do you think killing all these people will bring back Cassus? OUR son?" Finally she released his neck and stepped back in frustration... Asha had never been this way with Tracyn before, so the likelihood was that it was unfamiliar to him, possibly even a scary experience. "Because it kriffin' won't!" Unwilling to lash out at him her fist struck the metal interior of the turbolift somewhat roughly.

"I won't allow it. I won't - you're going to stop this, and you're going to come home, back to Kobe who needs his Father! I know you have lost a son, but so have I, and he has lost his brother, but that means we have to stick together... Daraasum, does that mean nothing to you any more? The promises we made, to stand together?" Suddenly she lost it again, and raised her voice; "Look at me!" She couldn't stand it when he didn't. "I can't lose you too..." she suddenly said, her eyes boring into his, her pain evident. Asha was feeling so many raw emotions right now, that she seemed like a whirlwind of magnetised reactions, polar opposites, angry then said, calm then explosive. Truth be told, she just wanted her Kobe, the man who was stood before her...

Tracyn stared at Asha, for what seemed like a long time. And he didn't soften his gaze, infact, it seemed to harden. He held up his hands, stained with blood and broken bones from the men upstairs."If I don't do what I'm doing right now. We may never get the chance to be an actual family. It is among one of the most painful things I've ever had to endure in my life, and you, YOU COMING UP HERE AND TELLING ME TO STOP LOOKING FOR MY SON, SO I CAN GO BACK TO MY OTHER ONE, IS NOT FUCKING HELPING."He bellowed, letting out a snarl.
He got into Asha's face, and given the space of the elevator, was fairly easy to do. And, truth be told, quite scary."Now. If you'll excuse me, I have to go back to being a terrible father and husband in order to save my son, who you don't seem to realize may or may not be SITHSPAWN right now."He reactivated the elevator and got off on the nearest floor, not wishing to be in the same elevator with her for any longer than he needed to. Infact, he really needed to get back down to tracking leads.

She had seen him this way before, but never to her. It was always to someone he hated, he despised, like the Sith on Metalorn. No, this was a new experience for her, and one which shook the very fabric of her reality. Never had she intended to bring this about, but she knew it was necessary. When he slammed his fist against the button which resumed the movement of the turbolift she didn't stop him...

... But when he tried to walk away from her that was the last straw. Stepping out of the turbolift she grabbed his arm and turned him to face her, glaring up at him. "I KNOW who has him! Or did you not LISTEN to what I said in the hospital?" Slamming a hand against his chest, her lip physically trembled. He could feel the emotions pulsate from her, increased tenfold by her Empathy. "KAINE HAS HIM. So why don't... Why don't you f-find him, and come back h-home..? I'd do it myself but I CAN'T! I want to... Please, I want to..." Now it was Asha who couldn't take it.

Instead she turned on her heels, running a hand up through her hair, and bit back the tears. She couldn't do this, it was all so raw. Did he not realise this was killing just as much as it was him? "I-I had him, Kobe... I had him right there, in my arms... I put him down to rest..." By this point her words weren't very coherent, and her breathing had become struggled.

Tracyn turned and completely snapped at Asha, turning and nearly barking at her."It's as if he walks around with a little beacon and holds up a sign of where he is!"He stopped, noticing that Asha's composure slipped. He paused for a moment, taking in what he had said, and what the situation was now. He bit his lip, letting her walk away. He threw up one of his hands, in defeat."If...If I don't stop, Kaine gets further and further away. And we may never get to see Cassus again."He stopped, placing a hand on her shoulder, pulling her towards him, slowly. It was all so painfully beautiful, the way the lights dimmed and faded in the night, as speeders passed the window they were near. He ran his hand through her hair, trying to comfort her."It's okay, it's okay baby. You didn't do anything, you shouldn't blame yourself for it."He said, holding his wife tightly. He tried not to think that his hands just threw a sort-of guilty man out of a window, were the same hands now comforting the love of his life.

"Promise me one thing, Asha."He said, tilting her head so that she could look at him, his icy gray eyes less angry and now moreso pleading.

She couldn't handle it, the way he'd become since they lost Cassus, and she was all but ready to walk away, to put an end to it herself. His words washed over her, but the next thing she knew he had her by the shoulder and she was being pulled towards him. Her face buried into his chest and she breathed in his scent, turning her head into his hand. It took a while but slowly her breathing returned to normal, her hand raised to rest upon his chest, not quite able to hug him back - not because she didn't want to, but because it was proving physically difficult to do so. "I didn't do anything" she retorted, her words half-lost before they were even uttered, "Which is my point..."

When he continued, asking her to promise him something, tilting her head up so she would look at him, the Knight's eyes were empty but they met his all the same. "Anything" she whispered.

He held her for a little while longer, enjoying the blissful silence and togetherness they shared."I didn't do anything either, Asha. No one is to blame for what happened but Kaine and Kaine alone." His breathing slowed, and he closed his eyes. He leant down and placed his forehead against hers, his icy gray eyes staring at her like a hawk.

"Promise me that you'll be there Kobe, since I can't until I find Cassus."He said, bluntly, and quietly. His voice was lower, implying his sincerity and how much he cared for his son, even if his absence didn't show it.

Asha stared at him when his forehead and gaze settled to her own. Taking in a small breath she began to nod her head, but her body still trembled slightly. "I... I will..." She whispered, leaning up to kiss him softly. When she pulled back she slipped from his warm embrace, albeit a difficult feat, and settled a hand upon his cheek. "I'll move him in with me, and I'll be a good mother to him. Just... Don't take too long" The last bit she spoke in a delicate tone, before she began to step backwards. "I... I should go now" and before he could argue she turned and walked away, leaving him there.

She broke into a run the moment she could no longer see him, trying to find a way to keep her emotions under control. No longer paying attention to where she was going, Asha ran straight out of the main door and into the street below...

... And the explosion which sounded shook the building itself, lower windows smashing under the pressure, various speeders losing control through the smoke it caused.

When the fire settled and the smoke blew away there was only one body for Officials to collect, that of a 6'2 female body. And at the exact moment the explosion rang through the streets anyone who knew Asha Seren well, no matter where they were in the Galaxy, felt her light snuff as her life left her...

The building shook, and so did Tracyn. The floor he was standing on cracked, and he fell downwards to the floor below. He slid down a collapsing set of floors, standing as the building began to slowly unravel. Speeders smashed into the lower levels, furthering the shaking and destruction of the building. He was lucky it was late at night, there was a skeleton crew of people, and people were already in their beds. He jumped to avoid the falling floor, and held onto the edge. But a shock came to him, jarring him for a moment, and for a moment, he lost control, and slowly fell downwards. He got distracted to the point that he fell downwards, and blacked out as he took the impact. He awoke as a paramedic placed an oxygen mask over him. He sat upwards, instructing them to go help anyone else that was injured. He would be fine, later.

He tore through the rubble, and saw them taking the body away. It was burnt and mangled, and he collapsed to his knees. @Asha Seren, was dead. His saving grace, torn from him. Her light snuffed out. He looked around, running a hand through his hair. He only had one thought, and that was of vengeance, of wrath. He buried it within him, near where he kept his rage. It was a ticking time bomb, an unquenchable amount of bloodlust now mixed with the rage of the sudden loss of life. He stood up slowly, glancing around the room. So many, many dead.

And why.

Why her too?
