'A strategist and fair diplomat, Hester is particularly clear in her goals, consolidated power, efficient governance, and fair policing. Determined to rise through the political ranks of the CIS, her work in planetary governance and interstellar diplomacy makes her a shrewd and calculating voice in politics. She can be quick to anger and easily goaded if pressured but she is generally able to keep a cool head with her sharp tongue. She is sometimes referred to as The Wielding Widow; an inference that she was involved in the untimely death of her late husband. No proof has been found of this.
Fiscally competent, she is keen on increasing the wealth of society at large and is boastful of her ability to encourage others to do her bidding, often at the detriment to the opinion held of her.
----
Born into a life of politics, Shedo was schooled in the arts of war and diplomacy, in hope she would marry well and climb socially. Her former husband, Lief Lightolder, had been an influential voice in the planetary government and his death some years prior had allowed her the spirit of support found by many in the local population centers; she was seen as brave and committed to his memory. After several posts in planetary governance and representative-bodies, she is keen to elevate to the position of Viceroy
Often accused of being a schemer by her decriers and opponents, she is quick to silence their discern through meaningful engagement with their causes. The accusations of her having opponents silenced through harm and intimidation are completely unfounded and will result in a fierce libel case brought against them, as well as a tactical employment of the press.
Known for her public frugality, and private opulence, Hester will do well in most fields she finds herself in. Traditionally a beautiful woman, she has decided to not take another husband…for now.'
After her spell as Viceroy of Scarif, Hester served two terms in the Presidium as Minister of Influence. After the latest regime change, Hester retired from Confederate politics to pursue her own ambitions in the political sphere. She has managed to make her way towards Alliance space, hoping to begin to influence the Core Worlds and accrue as much money and power as possible.
She outlived the collapse of the Confederacy, using her talents and resources to begin Sterdo LLC, a conglomerate that offers industrial services, as well as lobbies governments on behalf of corporate investors.
As governor of Hamra within the Mandalorian Enclave, her industrial prowess flourished and she now exports vast quantities of both raw and processed goods, mostly used for building work, across the sector. She did, for a short while, set up a base of operations in the Braxant Covenant, accompanied by her adult son.
Hester is a woman of note. Rumoured to have instigated the murder of her husband, allowing her candidacy for the viceroyalty to go unchecked, she is alleged to have been at the very heart of the Fireflash atrocities, the chemical plague that ravished the Mandalorian Enclave territories and saw the death of hundreds of thousands of civilians. She has denied these rumours unequivocally.
With friends in the Galactic Alliance, she continues to scheme and shows no signs of slowing down.
