PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Visanj T’shkali
Affiliation: Closed-Market
Model: Hermes Engine Pods
Modularity: Yes; can be sized and fitted to most starship classes, types, and designs.
Production: Semi-Unique Production
Material(s): Alusteel, Agrinium, Absorbital, Dallorian Alloy, Duravlex, Condensed-Matter Composite, Electronics.

Special Engine Components:
SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Able to produce blistering speeds, especially on smaller-sized vessels such as transports, starfighters, etc.
  • Absorbital coating of components helps to protect against blaster and laser fire.
  • Alusteel-Agrinium housing protects against wide variety of threats.
  • Integrates main engines, stealth engines, and hyperdrive into a single bundle.
STRENGTHS:
  • Offers powerful ion engine capable of potent propulsion and achieving exceptional speeds.
  • Provides slower yet almost undetectable and silent engines for stealthy travel.
WEAKNESSES:
  • If damaged or destroyed, the hyperdrive ability of the ship can be compromised and become disabled, reducing the ship to sublight speeds only.
  • Stealth engine capability is almost impossible to detect or track, however large military-grade sensor arrays like those aboard SSDs may defeat this capability.
  • Absorbital coating doesn’t prevent kinetic damage.
DESCRIPTION:

Hermes Engine Pods house powerful ion engines, capable of producing terrific speeds especially aboard smaller starships, and smaller stealth-capable engines which are slower but significantly difficult to detect or track by anything lesser than the massive military-grade sensor arrays carried aboard very large ships such as Super-Star Destroyers. Further, they also contain Class 1.0 hyperdrives, capable of jumping into hyperspace and traversing the galaxy at incredible speeds. Components are protected against blasters and laser fire by absorbital coating, and durable alusteel-agrinium housing provides excellent resiliency against a wide variety of threats, ranging from weapons fire to kinetic damage to EMP/ion attacks. However, beyond this housing, the various components only have absorbital coating to protect them. If damaged, hyperdrive capability can become compromised and leave the ship resigned only to sublight abilities until repairs can be made.

I went back and forth on this one a few times due to the nature of the systems involved. Unfortunately, I think you're pushing well into the realms where the following rule applies, specifically the highlighted section:

Particularly rare or powerful special features may necessitate using a lower level of production (for example, cloaking technology, personal cloaking devices, gemcutters, crystal grav traps, moon dust, equivalent stealth or anti stealth technologies,or rare canon technologies and their equivalents will only be permitted at Semi-Unique production.
As a result, at the current level of strength, I'm going to have to ask for that semi-unique drop in production.
