Private Here I go again on my own!

The harsh sun beat down on the Tantooine soil. In the distance, Jawas and slave traders made their way between units in the market square. Darth Talon stood above the city, watching the passing R2’s and CP’s. Her yellow eyes burning intensely as she heard one of the Jawas arguing over credits to be paid.

Brushing her face with her red hued hand, Koga watched the commotion below. She was here for one thing and one thing only, she wanted the the R2 unit who held the hologram message for the rebel base. If she got her hands on that unit, she could decipher where the base was and claim it as her own.

Standing up, she swept her long black robes to the side and made her way from the ledge she was perched upon. Dust kicked and flew up with each step. She needed to talk to the Jawa down below. If they wouldn’t be persuaded by the Force, she would have to use more… persistent measures to get answers to the units location.

It was not quite a planet nor a situation he thought himself to be but then again such was life. As his constant wandering had placed quite a strain as much a toll on his somewhat aging R2 that it need a few parts replaced. And so he had come here to look if he could hit up any of the local Jawa if any they had in their inventory said parts. But so far Ron seems not to have any luck which he hope would soon change as he steers the Eopie down towards a nearby market square.

And as he did so adjusting his cloak a bit to obscure his face as well weapon strap close at hand onto his belt. Given his checkered past, with both force and non-force users alike. There was no telling who or what he might run into along the way.

Koga continued to walk, each foot hitting the dirt in front of her softly and gently step by step. “I’ll find it. It’s here somewhere” she thought to herself as she made her way to the market square. The brown robes she wore concealed her tattoos. It was the best way to get in to the square unnoticed, to look like the Jedi filth she despised.

She passed some small shops selling anything from mechanical parts to small avian species, each tender calling out to the people passing by in hopes to make a quick buck. Koga simply ignored them. Her connection to the darkside helped her to stay focused on the task at hand. She needed the status and power that came from this mission. She needed her name to be spread far across the galaxy.

As she approached the square, she felt it. There was another presence here. He was powerful too. Her yellow eyes flickered like flames as she thought through the endless possibilities of who it could be, friend or foe.

And so it was that for the most part, all seem been going ok so far as his presence seem to go unnoticed thus far. With anyone bare giving him no notice nor mind outside that of a couple of street hawkers or small shop pedlers. Perhaps hoping to make a quick cred sale out of him despite his better judgment. He had to briefly tap into and use some of his force ability to either distract or nudge them off. Which soon enough gave him enough confidence that he let slip as approached the square his presence.

Apparently, someone caught wind of his presence which was faint as it would be to him would no less be to another. Though given the transition phase he'd gone thru thus far in his sojourn one would be somewhat hard press to pindown. What his leaning in the force would be ...friend or foe? In which case he dares not deviate from the task at hand. That from the corner of his eye and senses did he pick up a faint whisper in the force... Jawa. From whom was one of the quarries he came here for.

She made her way to the streets, making sure to cover her tribal markings as to not draw any suspicion to herself. She knew if someone got close enough, they could pick out her darkness. The Force being she felt earlier was just a faint whisper. She could tell it was someone powerful, but she couldn’t tell from where.

She approached the cargo ship with the Jawas and that’s when she saw him. It was an old familiar face, someone she knew better than the others.

Should she be seen by him or continue hiding? She didn’t have long to decide before the Jawas looked her way and began chattering in their native language. Had she been spotted despite her best efforts?

She walked up to one of the Jawas pandering to passerby's “How much for a droid?”. She needed to find the right droid in order to steal the component she needed with the message.

It was then in the momentary distraction between his search for a certain Jawa tribe, all the myriad of lifeforms milling about the market and just from the corner of his eye. He could not help but swear a faint presence caught his attention of that someone ... seem familiar yet no less unexpected in a way. For if nothing less could be said of it despite all the history and encounters both had with each other ... there seems to be a sense of familiarity between them.

But just the same before he could put speak or act a faint breeze fluttered by letting his hood slip a bit showing a bit side his face. As he slightly turns as he felt a tug upon his sleeve as one of the Jawa. Seem all too eager to get his attention while pointing to a few restrained droids on one side....of which was one thought a tad bit seem seen better days. Was a close enough model of R2 unit was look for that he knelt down a bit to come face to face and speak to the Jawa. Who no less seem slightly surprised to converse with Ron in its native tongue rather than in Basic. In regards to negotiating a price for the said droid...

Koga looked around to see if she could catch a glimpse of the R2 droid she was searching for. It wasn’t long after she did that she noticed him again. He was talking to a Jawa. What was he doing all the way out here? It was always hard to say with him. She knew it wasn’t for gains the like of which she was after.

I’ll have to improvise Koga thought to herself as she watched him purchase the droid and made her way towards him and the Jawa. “Long time no see”.

It was as expected that the Jawa drove a hard bargain as the negotiation bounced back and forth a few times before. Reaching over with an open palm the two shook hands or so one would think. But in reality, with a sleight hand, the cred chip was passed between them, and just like that, the deal was done. And before long the Jawa set off on his merry way with creds in hand and turn towards an Ithorian to their left. Seem none the wiser that as he'd turn with another sleight of hand Jawa would not be able to recall his if ask by chance. What his true features were despite interacting with him face to face as he'd done well take care of that. And so with the quarry at hand done Ron then began walking over to do a quick check of the R2 condition.

"Long time no see".

When from behind an all too familiar voice as much presence stood to speak to which he then replied without face her,

"Indeed ... and I guess took you long enough but then again I would assume. This is neither a social call nor something of that sort but just the same..."

He then slowly turns to face ... the familiar image of Koga.

"... can say am curious to see you all the way out here?"

Koga Koga

“I could say the same to you” Koga nodded in the direction of the Jawa and droids.

It was expected that a criminal would be here. But what was he doing here. She was more intrigued by the second. Then, she noticed it. It was the droid she had been looking for.

“Nice droid. Is it yours?”

She was hoping to get away quickly and smoothly. Now she would have to make due with this minor but possibly entertaining inconvenience.

It was with a stoic quiet demeanor that Ron listened to her words which though sounded benign normal. As she then with a nudge nodded towards the direction and the Jawa he'd just spoken to. Only pique his interest as well earn a slight raise of his brow at her as he replied.

"Well, what can I say? Occupation hazards added to the state of things since I last returned to check back on things. Sort on a tight schedule ..."

He pauses a bit opting not to give away much but at the same time give some credible answers through an ideal cryptically vague to mask his true intention. That his relation with Jedi, in general, had or was sort strained due to few things he cares not talk about. But it was not to say Ron although still occasionally does odd runs or favor for a few of them. Of which one was kinda still up for debate as Ron was still not quite decided if he would take it considering it was on the verge of. Being what he could consider as a "blue milk run." ....

" And yes sort of.....droid is a bit beat up but then again R2 units aren't that easy to come by these days. This hopefully would come quite handy especially now that I sort run things solo.... "

She watched him carefully, looking at his body language as he spoke. She would know if he was here to hunt her or if he was lying. But as she listened, she detected no lies from him.

“They’re very hard to come by. I’ve actually been in the market for one for a while…”

Koga eyed the droid very closely. The droid squeaked and Koga watched it. It was at that moment she had a brilliant idea. She would trick Ronin in to coming with her to the rebel base. There she would use the droid. If he wouldn’t go with her willingly, she’d just have to make due.

“Say, it’s been some time hasn’t it. How would you feel about spending some time together? Like the old days” her velvety voice hung in the air, almost giving an intoxicating aroma to the ears. She winked at her last word and smiled mischievously.

As he conversed with Koga Koga , it was then that he could no less sense or pick up on feign fact. Or was it somewhat more due to the history between them that she most likely was observing him as much as Ron was her? Either case he was no less intruged as much cautious to see if she was in any way hunting him or lying. But then again neither one seems to be the case that he could somewhat let out a faint sigh of relief...somewhat. That is till what she said next that piquet his interest the most that he couldn't help but slightly raise a brow.

" Oh really....interesting as I didn't peg you as the sorts to but eh? Guess it has been quite a while... how time flies."

It was then that he felt a tug onto his arm and a small item slip handed to his hand. That the Droid suddenly burst back to life with an interesting string of beeps and faint whine. It kinda took him a while to figure out as it seems either due to the time it spent with the Jawa or the circumstance that brought it here. That he could honestly say that the R2 unit had quite an interesting vocabulary if nothing less. But just the same in the midst of its chatter came Koga Koga tempting proposal. To which he couldn't help but reconsider as he then replied.

"Ah yes, the 'good old day'...when I was but a spry youngling who'd seem didn't know just went to quit. But just the same...guess just as long it doesn't involve a repeat of our little run-in with the Hutts or their 'pets'. Then guess...ok?"

It was then briefly he could not help recall in the back of his mind the incident in question....or more like what bit he could remember of it.
