Quiet laughter filled the air, drifting through existence like a leaf caught in the wind. Sitting next to a friend was the sound's source: Tai'ko Vin. But she appeared younger here. Maybe only fourteen or fifteen. Here she smiled brighter than she had ever before. It was... nice, how happy she seemed. Grinning, giggling, enjoying time spent with the girl she called her sister. Things started to fade in the distance. She didn't notice. The rock she was sitting on disappeared. She was to busy laughing to see. Finally her image fell away, and their was no one to witness it. Not on this plane.​

It was odd. Tai'ko, better known as Vanessa, had passed away with a smile on her face. Only a nurse was left in the room with her. All the other docs had left, one of which to went inform Circe/Thalia of her 'daughter's death. Now the nurse sighed, gently stroking her patient's hand. They had been friends. What bothered her more than the loss was the oddity in the room... One of the machines that kept Tai's lungs working was unplugged. Even stranger, there were fingerprints on the cord that matched someone else's exactly...​
