Skirmish Hell's Coming With Me (NJP - Open to all Jedi and Criminals)

Kitter Bitters

Keeper of Bitter Tales from the Galaxy

A ripple of unrest breaks across Chalacta as ships descend from the sky, fast, unmarked, and unmistakably hostile. They cut through the calm like a blade, dropping into the atmosphere in waves as sirens begin to echo across the city. On the ground, figures in dust-worn coats and wide-brimmed hats spill into the streets and outskirts, moving with purpose as chaos ignites in their wake. This isn't a just a raid, it's a vendetta. As the first clashes erupt near the New Jedi Praxeum, one truth becomes clear: the underworld has come to claim Chalacta.

Objective 1: Protect Who We Are

The assault slams into the New Jedi Praxeum without warning, turning its open courtyards and bright halls into a battlefield. Criminal forces surge through the outer grounds and press toward the heart of the temple, cutting power, breaching doors, and scattering defenders as they push deeper inside. Alarms ring through the corridors as Jedi rally to hold the line, guarding younglings, securing key chambers, and fighting to keep the Praxeum from falling. If the temple is lost, so too is the future it was built to protect.

Objective 2: Protect Who We Serve

Beyond the Praxeum walls, chaos spills into the heart of Chalacta as criminal bands descend upon civilian districts, raiding markets, torching supply routes, and driving frightened families into the streets. Panic spreads faster than the flames, and with local defenses overwhelmed, the Jedi are forced to make a choice: remain at the temple or answer the cries of the people they serve. Every moment counts as lives hang in the balance, and the fate of the city rests on whether anyone can push back the tide before it consumes everything.

The signal cut through the static of the Holonet, encrypted, urgent, unmistakably Jedi.

"This is Jedi Master Katarine Ryiah, transmitting from the New Jedi Praxeum on Chalacta."
Behind her, the once-peaceful halls flickered with distant alarms. Smoke curled through the open archways, and the low hum of defensive shields strained under pressure. What had been a sanctuary for learning and healing was now under siege.

"Criminal forces have breached the outer sectors. Civilians are in danger. We are holding, but only just."

Her voice was steady, though the weight of countless lives pressed against it. In the Force, she could feel fear spreading across Chalacta, sharp and chaotic. A distant explosion echoed. She didn't turn.

"Chalacta stands not just as a world, but as a promise, that the Jedi of the New Jedi Order can be more than relics of a fallen age. Help us protect that promise."

A brief pause. Then, softer:

"We need you."

The signal pulsed once more across the stars, quiet, resolute, and waiting.

When the signal went dead, she turned and took a deep breath. It was time to find her students and do what she could for the school. Hopefully, this dream wasn't about to end before it really got started.

✦ A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY ✦

He stood alone on the dueling mat, hilt in hand as the blade hummed its signature peaceful song. At peace with himself, and with his blade, Aidan picked up with his training. Off the mat was his book, it listed the mechanics of all seven lightsaber forms and with masterful instruction on how and when to employ them from the archives. He picked up the blade, ready to continue his self-teaching before the alarms ricochet off the wall into a deafening screech that dislodged his focus. His form collapsed immediately, danger sense blaring with a cracking ting against the back of his skull. They were under attack. He turns to the sound of distant blaster-fire and explosions. Aidan wasn't sure if he could leave the temple, but from what the alarms told him, he wouldn't need to. No, the danger had found the Jedi, and he had to put his skills to the test.
He dashed out of the empty room into the Common Area, leaving the book off to the edge of the mat. His grip on his hilt tightened as he looked for anyone of higher rank to tell him the news. Was this a drill?
