Welcome to Chaos! Glad to see you're interested in writing with the Alliance.
As far as experience goes, being new to RP is totally fine! We try to be a very friendly faction to newbies, as well as an accessible place to learn the ropes. I myself started in the GA on Chaos after migrating from another site, and the members were extremely helpful in teaching me how to navigate some of the more advanced parts of the rule system as well as the nuances of RP on this site.
Looking over your character bio, it looks like you're interested in flying some X-Wings with us! If you desire, you can check out the
sub-unit forum and look over some of the already existing squadrons in the GA. Rogue and Wraith Squadron are our two most popular player character squadrons, and they are very similar in feel to their EU counterparts. But if none of them really fit or you're more interested in finding your own way/starting your own thing, absolutely feel free to create your own squadron!
If you wish you can also join us in our faction discord channel, a group chat program many on chaos use to chat and organize. An invite link can be found
here, but there is absolutely no obligation to join if chats aren't really your thing.
Right now, because of the site event and recent technical issues, our main active thread at the moment is our dominion of the Laertos hex, but luckily it includes some pretty rad opportunities for fighter pilot RP.
