Selcaron. It was an isolated place, one of many to have escaped the constant warfare that plagued the galaxy of today. Selcaron was also an empty world untouched by galactic civilization save for a brief New Republic colony that was established during the Galactic Civil War only for it to be destroyed by the Imperial Warlord known as Zsinj over nine centuries ago. Since then, Selcaron was forgotten left untouched by the various galactic powers that would rise and fall throughout the past century, that was until Marlon Sularen had set his sights on the small moon viewing it as the perfect site for erecting new factories to fuel his envisioned underground military-industrial complex.

Already, the former Lord-Regent of the Empire had send a survey team to investigate the ruins of the former New Republic colony hoping to eventually erect a new factory city on top of it. It was supposed to be a simple survey of the site, however the survey team soon uncovered something astonishing : mysterious faint energy signatures coming from underneath the old ruins. This discovery had caught the attention of Sularen himself, who had just finished overseeing the final process of moving the Black Fifteen Shipyards to the neighboring world of Dathomir.

Before long, the former Lord-Regent was walking down the ramp of his shuttle after it had made landfall right outside the main camp of the survey team, where the team's leader eagerly awaited the arrival of Sularen flanked by a pair of Marine Stormtroopers. "Welcome to Selcaron. Sir." the team leader said with a pleasant smile. "I hope your trip here has been pleasant." he added. "It was comfortable enough." Sularen responded. "Now, this discovery of yours. I'd love to know more about these so-called energy signatures" he added. "Of-course, sir. Right this way." the team leader said as he lead Sularen towards the main site.

Whatever laid hidden underneath the ruins, Sularen hoped that it might be of use to him and the Empire Reborn. After all when facing juggernauts like the Galactic Alliance, he could use a few extra advantages that could give him the upper hand and more leverage. Nevertheless only time would tell whether this discovery would prove to be beneficial to the Empire or not.

BOUNTY HUNTER'S GUILD - CRIMSON NOVA CHAPTER

His breakout from the Galactic Alliance's detention center wasn't a grand victory, but it taught him a valuable lesson: he had to elevate his skills in the Bounty Hunter arena. With numerous bounties available and a shortage of hunters, the potential earnings were substantial.

One might wonder why he ventured to this forsaken location on the Planet of Selcaron, untouched for ages, but settlements meant inhabitants, and where there were people, there were old scores to settle. These grudges inevitably resulted in bounties, translating into lucrative opportunities to fill his growing coffers.

He proved to be well worth the credits, having faced off against the Grandmaster Valery Noble , Jedi Jasper Kai'el , and even the deranged Braze , coming out mostly unscathed except for a few minor burns.

A familiar aroma drifted through his sensory nose amidst the ruins, signaling that his lunch had chosen to find him rather than the other way around.

"Meal time.....lets hope its some Jedi to sink my teeth intosss..." with a swift snap, the oversized jaws clamped shut. Karkosuchus submerging into the depths of the flooded ruins, where relentless rain had flooded both the outside and inside of the structure.

They might have sensed his presence, but who would dare venture to the water's edge? Only the most daring souls would take that risk.

After a short walk, the Lord-Executor was brought into a large tent that served as the base of operations for the surveying operations. Throughout the makeshift structure Imperial personnel were hard at work as they continued the process of mapping the site and taking note of all the many small discoveries they had made. Progress was being made here, that was for sure and it was clear that the survey team seemed to be on the verge of making a major breakthrough, one that would hopefully come to benefit the interests of the Empire Reborn. Soon enough, Sularen and the Survey's Team leader would arrive at a large table with a massive holographic display, showing an image of the portions of the site that had been mapped.

"Here is the full layout of the site, sir." the Survey Team leader explained. "According to historical documents, this used to be a simple colony that was affiliated with the New Republic, however based on the initial discoveries we've made i have reason to believe that this colony served another purpose, given the unusually large military presence that present here, despite the colony's small size." he added. "What makes you think the New Republic had a large military presence here?" Sularen inquired. "Within the ruins we found evidence of structures that appeared to have once served as barracks and security stations with even a listening post located on the outskirts of the colony." the team leader replied.

"Furthermore, we have discovered many underground entrances, and our ground-penetrating radar has revealed the exsistence of a large cavity deep underneath the colony." the team leader continued. "I'm assuming this must be the source of the faint energy signatures." the Lord-Executor stated. "Yes. However, the main issue is that we can't access whatever chamber might be located under the ruins." the team leader said. "Why is that the case?" Sularen inquired. "It appears that the underground chamber has been flooded, along with all of the entrances leading to it, rendering it fully inaccessible to he equipment and personnel that we have brought here."

As the survey team mapped the flooded chamber beneath the ruins, a deep rumble echoed through the halls. It was not the thunder that had plagued the skies of Selcaron for days on end it was much more localized and target. Golden hues watched from beneath the water, silent save for a few soft movements as the vibrations in the walls were accompanied by the wet thoom of displaced water.

Something within him stirred as the smell of fresh meat was unbearable to resist, bubbles from his breathing surfaced from the edges of the ruined structure. A long arm clawed against the wall, as the warmth of the scanners and the chatter of the surveyors penetrated deep through the ruin.

He was not afraid of confrontation though it would be foolish to charge straight into danger without a concrete plan of action for he had overcome his animal instincts for a moment.

"It's time to play... a game..." Karko said, lightly licking his lips.

His strong tail propelled him swiftly through the water, near the edge of the Imperial camp. The poor sentry barely had time to react when a powerful jaw emerged and closed around his armored torso, crushing the armor with a bite and dragging him into a watery grave, but it would be enough to alert the camp to the disturbance and the Lord Regent Marlon Sularen .
