DESCRIPTION
The Hecr is fairly standard, using a Mandalorian Steel space frame for a light weight, durable frame, and AR-0B armor plating, known to be effective at reducing the amount of force and energy is absorbed by the hull. The Frame is able to handle heavy punishment and extreme g-forces during flight, but, as the fighter isn't made for dogfighting or direct combat in general. The armor, while resilient, isn't its primary defense.

The ship's greatest defense is its ability to not be hit in the first place, using a Pair of Flare Launchers and a Chaff Launcher for missile countermeasures, and a deflector shield, roughly equivalent to a Chempat Defender Deflector shield used by the X-Wing series to great effect.

The Hecr-class also uses a set of Hydrostatic fields allowing it to travel underwater, in liquid atmospheres, nebulae, and some gas giants without issue. It also has a single Cap Drain granting it partial resistance to EMP, Ion weaponry, and a single connor net during combat before this fixture must be repaired or replaced.

Sensor and Targeting Equipment
The Hecr-class Starfighter is a dedicated detector fighter, designed for system patrol. Its primary means of detection are a pair of long Range Full Spectrum Sensor arrays, capable of keying into every spectrum of sound, light, heat, and the electromagnetic spectrum across long distances, allowing it to detect space phenomena, star fighters, missiles, and ships in a systme, providing and processing the data nearly instantaneously. This allows the pilot and sensor board operator to be aware of thousands of objects in space and threats at all times. To complement the system a Long Range Phased Tachyon Detection array is included, fitted into the sensor hubs on the back of the vessel, allowing the fighter to detect anomalies in the visual spectrum of light at extreme distances and process this information, giving the pilot notice of these objects with little to no lag despite the distance between targets.
Also included are a Dedicated Energy Receptor, which a skilled operator can use to detect emissions from lasers, beacons, comlink transmissions, and thrust emissions as well as electromagnetic and gravitic abnormalities. Because the system is keyed to electromagnetic, thrust, and gravitic abnormalities and fine tuned long range sensors, standard DERP's aren't as effective, and then the Phased Tachyon Detection array is able to be turned on the blips and used to spot uncloaked fighters. Some fighters uses light absorbing paint, like the StealthX to counter act this to some degree. The system uses a focused beam and is intended to gather specific, detailed information from an already detected target, such as power fluctuations, shield levels, communications, and weapons fire. Because of its narrow beam, it is ineffective as an early threat device.

The second sensor hub on the back of the ship contains an Angel Eye Sensor. The Angel Eye Sensor suite is made from three primary components. One is a Crystal Grav-Trap and Gravitic Amplitude Modulator tuned down to a five hundred meter radius, specializing in detecting cloaked ships. It does this by emitting alternating, altering, pulses of gravitic forces, controlled by an advanced droid brain with incredible processing speeds. The alternating pulses force Gravitic Modulators to adjust to avoid detection, however due to the random variations and pulses, modulators find it more difficult to quickly adjust, and are caught for the microseconds the modulator lags behind the random GAM signals, being detected by the Crystal Grav-Trap of the Angel Eye sensor.

The Hecr-class's Targeting computer is capable of assessing One thousand sublight objects, acquiring forty possible targets, and is programmed to detected and lock onto one hundred twenty specific sensor signatures, allowing its weapons to lock onto any number of signatures a normal ship emits under normal combat operation. This has the added benefit of allowing its missiles to lock onto gravitic and electromagnetic signatures, and have these signatures appear on its Holographic Imaging Targeting Board to assist in weapons locks.

Miscellaneous Equipment
For anti-warhead countermeasures the Hecr makes use of a pair of flare launchers, which hold four flares each. These flares emit identical sensor data as the Hecr, disrupting warhead weapons lock while the flare homes in against the warhead. The flare then hits the warhead or is hit by the warhead and its small explosive charge is set off, taking the warhead with it. Additionally it has a single, aft mounted Chaff Launcher with fires a spray of sensor and guidance muddling particles, causing chasing warheads to prematurely detonate, keeping the Hecr safe.

The Hecr also features a nose mounted Missile Deactivation Transmitter, able to target warheads at standard naval engagement range, and deactivate their explosive charge and guidance system, one at a time. These are only able to accurately track Capital Ship missiles and larger, tracking them, locking on, and transmitting the deactivation signal at range, keeping the warheads from exploding and rendering them inert. It does this by detecting guidance frequencies and telemetric codes used by enemy missiles and warheads, and transmitting a condensed beam deactivation signal at a single warhead, rendering it inert before moving to the next target. As missiles are fired at closer and closer ranges, it is less and less effective at deactivating a number of them, with close range missile fire normally not leaving the system enough time to properly react, while at standard range it may have time to engage as many as three warheads. The system is able to decipher friend from foe missiles, targeting the closest enemy missile relative to its point of defense (which can be a nearby ship, or itself). It should be noted that the system cannot decipher the type of warheads being fired.

Weapon Systems
The Light Weapons Mounts are capable of being fitted with Blaster Cannons, Light Ion Cannons, Light Mass Drivers, and Light Particle Beam Cannons. These are smaller, less powerful weapons, but have a significant advantage in terms of rate of fire, favoring the motto of more ammunition spent, more likely to hit a target. A favorite combination of these weapons is utilizing a pair of Ion Cannons and Mass Drivers almost as a pair like a set of miniature Deck Cannons with the Ion blasters weakening deflector shields increasing the chance that the Mass Driver rounds will slip through the shields and directly damage the hull. The Hecr mounts two dual turrets, one on the front of the ship, one on the back and a pair of fixed forward turrets on the wing tips. These can be set for Stutterfire to preform optimally against Vong craft, firing many low power bolts with full power shots mixed in at random intervals. This allows them to exhaust a Dovin Basal more effectively.

Strengths:
  • Detector: The Hecr-class is dedicated to patrol systems and act as long range detectors for fleets, and it excels at sniffing out cloaked ships, detecting incoming fleets, and tracking enemy ships.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Armament: The Hecr only has a set of Dual Light Weapons on gimbals, significantly less weaponry that found on an RZ-1 A-Wing or a TIE Interceptor.
  • Sluggish: The Hecr is fairly slow, roughly equivalent to a bomber in terms of speed and maneuverability.
Special Features:
  • Advanced Sensors
  • Missile Defense System
  • Durable Armor
