Hearts like Fire...

Katelyn Feanor

The temperature had dropped all of the sudden upon Skye, like a sudden Tornado just out of thin air like it was magic. The puddles upon the ground had frozen over-night and icicles now hung from roofs throughout the stronghold. A thin layer of milky and soft snow had fallen upon the ground, lying only an inch thick atop the ground, making the ground appear to be a blanket of snow mixed with ice as if it were a winter-wonderland.

Katelyn marched through the snow. Her metal mask feeling cold to the touch in the unusual frosty wind of Skye. Her black cloak flailing in the icy touch of the wind along with making her armor feel colder then deep ice from centuries old. Though, this didn't bother Katelyn one bit at all due to her growing up upon Hoth and gaining a resistance to the cold over a few decades. Katelyn's hazel eyes scanned around through the eye slits in her metal mask, falling upon the snow ground.

Wow, really this is quite unusual. I mean, I've never heard of it snow or freeze upon Skye but hey..your see something new everyday. But, at least it reminds me of my home..Hoth.

Katelyn's thoughts were turned away once a trooper walked into her.

It wasn't her fault! It's hard to see through this karking helmet!
"S-Sorry, sir." Was all Serenity could muster as she got up, holding a hand out for the stranger.

Katelyn wasn't furious, just strictly pissed off. Pissed off that someone thought she was and looked like a guy. Well, this armor and mask did mask that she was an actual she. Katelyn knew that this armor and mask did make her appear to be a man, but she wore it anyways...so that no other Knights of Ren or Troopers would try hitting on her. But, at least this trooper didn't sound like some cheap male stormtrooper.

Katelyn took accepted the hand. Once she was back up on her two feet, She took off her metal helmet. Revealing Katelyn's violet eyes and brown hair. The longer part of Katelyn's brown hair fell over her left eye.

Once Katelyn began to speak, her voice wasn't filled with anger or disappointment...just annoyance. "Do I look like a guy to you? What's your name, soldier?"

"Apologies, ma'am. FN-2499, or Serenity." She took a respectful bow, noticing she was a Knight of Ren.

Please don't kill me, pleeeease don't kill me.

"Hey...look I get it a lot. Also, mind taking off the mask, since I took mine off for you.." Katelyn let off a warm smile. She wasn't a person to hold a grudge against people. especially people who had nice names. Will, not really the latter part but she was easy to forgive, she never saw the reason in holding a personal grudge against people unless they had done some unspeakable thing to her such as cutting off her arm. Katelyn's violet eyes lightly beamed down at her left metal hand for a few seconds before she directed them back towards Serenity.

Serenity took off her helmet, obeying her superior. Her hair flowed in the frigid wind, her steel blue eyes on the woman's hazel ones. None of her superiors were ever nice to her... except for the Major.

Katelyn smiled at Serenity, her violet eyes looking into Serenity's steel eyes. "Your beautiful...come on...mind sitting down?" Katelyn gestured to the stone bench behind them before sitting herself down upon it. She crossed her right leg over her left leg before crossing her arms over her chest. Katelyn liked Serenity, she already seemed to be one of those troopers who...were actually nice and didn't overreact. Plus, this one was a woman...meaning that they wouldn't hit on her quickly, like if they were a man. Well, unless they were bisexual like she was.

Serenity couldn't help but blush a little from the woman's compliment. "Thank you... I wouldn't mind sitting down for a few moments..." She tried her best to sit down in her half frozen armor. "I never caught your name..."

"It's Katelyn..." Katelyn smiled lightly at Serenity. She then noticed that Serenity seemed to be shivering slightly, probably due to the cold but she couldn't tell. Why not invite her inside to talk? Near a nice and warm fire. Yeah...that could and probably would be nice. Katelyn 's violet eyes locked onto Serenity's steel eyes before she spoke. "Hey, you look cold. Wanna come inside with me...then we could talk?" Of course Serenity didn't have to come inside. Besides, Katelyn didn't actually own a house, she more of temporarily rented a house from a civilian. Sure, she could have taken it by force due to her being a Ren, but she wasn't one of those people. She had offered to pay the civilian honestly if she could rent and live in the house temporarily.

Katelyn... a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. "That's a lovely name; and sure, I'd like to come inside. I'm not really built for this weather..." She crossed her arms, the cold turning her cheeks red. Her breath was thick in the cold weather, each breath puffing out in a smoke like cloud.

"Thank you! Well, sadly, I am..." Katelyn stood up with a smile upon her face before walking towards a nearby concrete house which was two stories. Once she made it to the door, she opened it and let Serenity step inside before stepping inside herself. Once inside, Katelyn removed her chestplate, setting it within a room off to the left along with her black robe and cloak. She closed a metal door behind her as she walked out of the armory before offering Serenity to take off her armor, that is if she had any clothes on underneath. Katelyn was currently wearing a tight black tanktop, revealing her fully metal left arm along with the black and red flower tattoo on her right arm.

Serenity blushed a little. She never wore anything underneath the bodysuit. "I'll take off the pieces, but not the bodysuit." The pieces of armor landed on the floor with a thunk, the snow white armor piling up till her helmet hit the floor.

Katelyn laughed at this slightly before responding. "Come on in. Want anything to drink, Whisky, Water...Juice? You can find yourself a seat on the couch if you want to sit..." Katelyn patted Serenity on the shoulder before walking towards the kitchen. She stopped at the fridge and opened up the door with her left metal hand, searching with her right hand. Katelyn stayed in that position, searching through the fridge for a few minutes before grabbing a beer can. She closed the fridge and placed a glass cup on the counter for Serenity before opening her beer can with a click of the metal top on it, allowing her to drink from the now open beer can.

"Anything is fine, thank you." She did her best to warm herself up, the tight bodysuit not really helping in the ways of warmth. "Though some alcohol might warm me up."

"Sure..." Katelyn placed her beer can upon the marble counter-top before walking over to her fridge again and opening it. Once opened, she grabbed a metal handle at the back of an empty shelf before pulling it open. Katelyn had this secret compartment personally installed to keep her alcohol and whisky hidden encase anybody tried to rob her. After all, she did enjoy her alcohol and whisky. Katelyn pulled out a tall red bottle before closing the compartment and kicking the fridge door closed behind her as she walked away.

Katelyn poured a glass of alcohol from the tall red bottle before walking over, her beer in her left hand while Serenity's alcohol was in her right hand. She handed Serenity the alcohol before sitting herself down near Serenity.

Katelyn smiled lightly at Serenity before asking a question. "Ok, so first I'll ask you a question and then you'll do the same to me. Ok...how old are you, you look roughly twenty or twenty-one."

"Wow, you look good! Surprise...I'm 19..." Katelyn waited for the surprise on Serenity's face. Most people in the First Order who found out she was 19 were mostly, if not always surprised that she was that young. She wasn't sure why they were surprised, but she didn't necessarily care about that too much. Katelyn then brought her beer can up to her lips, and slowly drank from it before placing it on the coffee table in front of the couch that she and Serenity were currently sitting on.

"Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?" Katelyn was legitimately curious about this. Was it good to look mature for your age? Was it bad to look mature for your age? Katelyn supposed that it was a good thing but she wasn't sure, whenever she had met other people...they mostly thought she was eighteen or seventeen , but she guessed it was a matter of your perspective and view-point on people. Well, maybe it was also Katelyn'd 'gothic' makeup she wore occasionally. She had heard that she looked older when she was wearing it and younger when she wasn't wearing it. Which she assumed was true. "Ok, uhm...do you prefer guys or girls?"

"It's a good thing! I thought you were at least 22." She smiled at her, sipping her drink. She almost dropped the glass at the second question. Serenity's cheeks started burning a deep crimson. "Erm... both, actually..."
