Aryn Teth

The Force Praxeum of Commenor, Commenor, Rachuk Sector, The Colonies Region
Interacting With: [member='Lady Kay']
It had been some time since Aryn had been on any planet that could be remotely considered civilized. For too long, Aryn had been languishing in the lonelier regions of space, meditating on his growing abilities in the force, and immersing himself in his meditations far from those who could distract or sway him from it. It had been even longer since Aryn had been among so many force-sensitives. Prior to his own exile, he had avoided places and company such as this, but as Aryn walked through the courtyard, looking over the training pupils, he felt a kind of warmth and comfort which he had never experienced in a place such as this before. A faint smile split his lips as he walked along, but as he caught the eye of a few masters looking in his direction and speaking quietly, it faded.

Aryn had always stood out in places such as this - he drew those with strength in the force to him, and his signature often stood out more than most. It was through no fault of his own, but it had always bothered the man as he sighed and did his best to ignore the watching eyes, instead focusing on the task at hand. He had in all honesty been surprised by the fact that Kay Arenais herself had agreed to hear him out after his message to her, but he appreciated her agreeing to meet with him greatly. For weeks now the same visions had been plaguing him, and everywhere he had searched for answers until then had held nothing. He hoped that the archives in the Praxeum itself would hold the answers he was looking for, but only time would tell if he would even be permitted to access those archives.

The Praxeum. Kay always took the time to visit there on occasion. Force users of all types studied there, though not so much true Sith Lords. Being true to Commenor's neutrality, Kay and her husband kept the doors open. It not only protected the Praxeum and those that studied there, but it also kept it safe from attacks.

So far at least.

A meeting was set up between herself and a visitor named [member="Aryn Teth"] . That in itself wasn't unusual for she had had meetings all the time. No doubt he would question the Praxeum itself. But why he chose to go through herself remained to be seen. Those answers were sure to come soon enough.

Aryn didn't have long to wait as Kay arrived soon after he did. She was always sure to be punctual. Dressed in a loose, yet elegant gown and cloak, she approached the man. It was obvious now that she was just a few months away from giving birth, but she didn't let it hinder her from getting out of the Palace. Kay's own Force signature was shrunken down to that of a small tree nut as it was still a secret that she kept from most. With a bow of her head, she smiled in greeting. "Aryn, is it? Welcome to Commenor. I trust that your journey was a pleasant one?"

Aryn's eyes had been wandering the courtyard of the Praxeum, focusing on the students as they went through their exercises, and almost meditating on the warm feeling of the force that surrounded him as he stood there. Distracted, and with such a cloud of force signatures around him, Aryn didn't even notice Kay approach until he heard the sound of her voice, turning towards her with a smile as he offered a bow of his own, one that carried the kind of awkwardness which betrayed the man was not used to dealing with royalty. In his own strange mix of a flight suit and robes, Aryn felt considerably underdressed in comparison to the Queen and her own garb, but he did his best to hide his sudden discomfort, allowing a smile to split his lips as he watched her.

"Your Majesty, it was indeed - I haven't had the opportunity to visit Commenor before, but it is quite beautiful." He commented in a polite tone, casting one more idle glance out over the Praxeum itself before he turned his gaze back to focus it on Kay. "I do appreciate you choosing to meet with me, I understand you must be quite busy. Would it be best if we went inside? Found a place to sit down?" He asked in as polite a tone as he could muster, giving only a vague motion towards her pregnant figure. He was unsure how long their discussion was going to take, whether it would lead into a lengthy negotiation or if he may be simply turned away in an instant, but he hoped at the very least to present as good of a first impression as he could. It was not every day that one was in the presence of royalty, after all.

Kay was quite used to people being unsure of how to act around her. There was a time though when she was just a nobody, then a Senator, a rescuer of slaves and then nothing at all. She had lived on all sides of the spectrum, although not all of it was something to be proud of. Some of it she hid from others. In some matters, she was a very private person.

She gave [member="Aryn Teth"] a bow of her head in return, glancing about as he did after he complimented her world. Of course Kay had to agree that it was a very beautiful world. Not quite as beautiful as Naboo, but it held it's own charm and landscape that she enjoyed.

The offer to go inside was made and she just nodded in agreement, keeping her polite smile. So now it was starting. She was at that stage where people wanted her to just sit around all day. Quite frankly she liked the exercise, but as she didn't know the man, she wasn't going to criticise him for it. Afterall, he was merely being considerate. "Yes, let's go inside. I have a little office in there where I can brew us some tea." Kay gestured to the Praxeum and began walking towards it, hoping that he'd follow alongside her."And you needn't worry about formalities. You are my guest, not the other way around, so please, call me Kay."

Without any failing in Kay's smile, Aryn remained oblivious to her irritation about his offer, merely falling into line alongside her as he nodded to her offer. "Tea sounds lovely." Gently he shifted his hands behind his back, clasping them together as he walked along into the Praxeum with her. As she assured him that formalities were unnecessary, he nodded and found that it did indeed comfort the man somewhat. Between the warm feeling that being among so many force-sensitives granted him, and her own polite demeanour, he had begun to find himself quite relaxed as they walked into the Praxeum and toward her office. As he walked, his force signature was almost a complete opposite to her own, while hers was shrunk down to a nut, his own flowed out like a wave, washing over the area around them and the students who wandered the Praxeum's halls.

"Kay it is, then." Aryn answered with a smile as they reached her office, allowing her to open it before he stepped inside, taking a brief glance around the room before he settled his eyes back onto her. The second the door to their office was closed, he cleared his throat, and chose to waste as little of Kay's time as possible as he spoke. "I'm sure you're aware of the events transpiring in Mandalorian space, it's somewhat hard to miss." He chuckled somewhat, trying to maintain as dignified and relaxed a demeanour as possible as he spoke. "How much have you heard of the one who's proclaiming himself to be the new Mandalore? Ra Vizsla, I believe his name is." He paused for a moment, before quickly speaking up before Kay could begin to answer. "I understand this might seem somewhat out of nowhere, and not exactly in Commenor's sphere of influence perhaps, but indulge me, if you will." He explained himself, a polite and almost reverent tone in his voice.

A fellow tea drinker. She liked that. Not everyone liked tea, which was fine, but she was addicted to it. Sapir tea was smooth in taste, not too sweet or too bitter, and it always enveloped her like a warm hug, giving her comfort in times of stress. Kay didn't mind sharing either, in fact she encouraged others to drink it so that they'd enjoy comfort too.

Once inside her office she put on te kettle and got out two cups as well as her tea leaf pouch. While she prepared the leaves, she listened to [member="Aryn Teth"] as he spoke and once he brought up Ra's name, her movements visibly slowed down. That topic was highly unexpected. His choice on taking her to a spot where she could sit down was the right one. Kay couldn't exactly talk about it without the need for support.

For now though, while the water was boiling, she leaned up against the side table that the cups rested on. "I have heard whispers of the Mandalorian civil war, but the details haven't reached us yet...And as for Ra...He is a very dangerous man. One that I never hope to come across again."

The tea kettle boiled, so she took that opportunity to busy herself with it, pouring the water into the cups. It had been some time since she had to think about the Crusades. For a time her memories were stolen, yet now they were back. There were some memories though that she didn't want to have back. The ones with Ra were some of them.

Kay carried both cups as she walked over to Aryn, handing him his before she sat down in a chair. She brought her cup to her lips and gingerly took a sip before leaning back in her chair. "The Crusades happened when I was running for President here. Fortunately Commenor was spared, but that was partly due to myself being adopted into the Raxis Clan in order to keep us safe. However, our leader Gray was brought to trial for the actions of another. Many of us were brought along with him. It was...a horrible day. All around us were Mandalorians that hated us, many threats were made on our lives and our worlds. In the end, Ra took Gray's hands while the rest of us were told to fight on the front lines and to go to Mandalore to learn what it meant to be one of them." She shook her head slightly, her eyes not entirely focused on anything in particular. "All of the Raxis Clan did as they were told, except for me. I didn't believe in their cause, I had a world to lead and take care of. I couldn't just leave them to die on a battlefield because some brutal stranger from far away told me to." Kay sipped her tea. "Fortunately we were left alone and I was relieved to hear that Ra had died. But now that he has returned....I'm sure that you can guess that I hope their war stays away from my territory."

Aryn remained standing as Kay began to brew the tea, watching her closely for her reaction to his initial statement. When it hit him he couldn't help but feel somewhat apologetic, as was the view which crossed his face. He could feel the pain which radiated out of her as he brought up the topic, though he had heard of her involvement in the crusades, he had only heard vague stories, and so he was oblivious to just how deep her wounds ran. Aryn chose not to speak or to interrupt after Kay's initial comment, allowing her to turn and focus on the kettle as she filled the cups with the tea. Reaching out as she approached him, he gently took one cup from her before he moved to sit down across from her, watching her closely as he took his first sip.

Choosing to remain silent, Aryn took in every word that Kay said as she explained her connection to the crusades and her knowledge of Ra, his fingers idly tapping against the cup in his hand as he thought on her words. He still held a kind of sorrow for bringing up what was clearly a painful topic for the queen, but the kind of knowledge she would have had access to, or even the memories she may have had, that was most important to him. He nodded his head as she finished, taking one more sip before he spoke. "Indeed, it's my hope that he and his Empire stay far from the Alliance, Commenor, and all the free world of the galaxy, that's why I'm afraid I wanted to speak to you on this topic." He took a moment to take another sip before he continued. "As you said, Ra Vizsla was killed during the last Crusades, and I'm sure you understand that no person just comes back from death. What concerns me is what power did restore Ra Viszla to life, and why it has yet to reveal itself openly." He sighed as he sat back in the chair for a moment, a thoughtful expression pouring over Aryn's face.

"I have a number of suspicions as to the nature of Ra's return, and I hope beyond hope that many of them are wrong, but if they are not, understanding them may be the key to ensuring the galaxy does not fall into yet another cycle of these crusades." He explained with a sigh, taking another long sip. "That's one of the reasons I wished to speak to you, Kay, whatever memories you have of Ra, or any archives or texts you have access to about him, detailing where he died, how, anything and everything about him, it would help." He leaned forward somewhat, an almost pleading expression in his eyes as he watched her, one that slowly turned to sorrow. "And - I am sorry to come bringing up old wounds, it's not my right to do so."

Kay could see it in his eyes that [member="Aryn Teth"] felt bad for bringing up some bad memories. But it wasn't as though she figured that he knew. How could he? She didn't remember ever seeing him before. This was probably the first time that they had ever been in eachother's company. And yet here they were, drawn together by a dark history that had could repeat itself.

Or it could be worse.

But how he knew that she had some involvement in it remained to be seen.

Kay sipped her tea while he spoke, revealing his purpose for coming to Commenor. The very idea that someone helped Ra escape from death disturbed her greatly. Who would do so? And why if not for a people to come to a violent end? Why if not to conquer otherwise free land?

She sipped her tea bf=efore getting to her feet, moving to her desk and placing it on top. She took her datapad out from a drawer and turned it on, speaking all the while she accessed it's files and searched for the right one. "I do have a written account of that day, of Grays's trial, provided by one of the Raxis Clan. We all got copies of it. Here..." She handed him the file for him to look over.

"I didn't see ra die, nor do I know who it was that killed him. But could probably find out through some of my sources. I only had one communication with him, letting him know that my people wouldn't attack them, that we would provide trade, just as we do for others. Ra was silent for the most part, muttering only that 'Mandalore remembers'. And that was it. Gray made the joke that he was going to arrange a marriage between myself and Ra, as he had heard that the villain was looking for a wife. You can believe my relief when I learned that it was just a joke afterall." She couldn't imagine being forced to marry such a monster. The very idea of it was enough to give anyone nightmares.

Kay picked up her tea, taking a long sip of the soothing liquid. "What is it that you'd like to do with this information, if I may ask?"

Aryn watched as Kay moved to stand, sitting back to try and relax as well as he could in his seat. Watching her as she moved over to her desk, he remained silent as she spoke, sipping his tea as she searched for the appropriate file. Reaching out his free hand, he gently took the file from her as she handed it to him, setting it in his lap as he opened it, eyes focused on the pages as she continued speaking, taking in both her own words adn those on the file. Visible displeasure crossed his face as he read through the file. The account spared little detail, and the violence of not only the Mandalorian people but of Ra himself was clear. Aryn had by then heard only stories of the new Mandalore, to have a real account of just what he was like in his hand, it made him feel almost ill.

Her next question made him think. He knew that Kay had absolutely no reason to either trust or believe him. Who was he after all? They had never met before then, and he had come seeking her aid, barging into her life and bringing up horrible, old memories. And yet, she could help him, he knew that with her help he could surely find out more of what he needed to know, but he needed to win her to his side, first. He considered for a few long moments how to respond before he spoke up, sighing. "To be entirely honest with you - I can't truly say at this point. Everything I have now is suspicion, driven by a combination of visions and hearsay." He took another sip, his tea nearing its end already.

"However, I know deeply that Ra Viszla and his Mandalorians pose an immense threat to all the free corners of this galaxy, and in a time where darkness seems intent on surrounding and dominating all that's good in the galaxy, it's yet another threat we can't afford. I can't say I know what truly could have restored Ra Vizsla to life, but I know none of it could be good, it could be some twisted sort of Sith magic, or some horrible technological abomination. Indeed, it could perhaps be some remnant of the Contingency which has dragged his body back to the galactic stage. But I am certain there's more to all of this than there seems, and unless we make every effort to understand what we're dealing with, I fear the galaxy is doomed to more crusades."

Kay-Larr

Kay blinked, following that with a raise of an eyebrow as [member="Aryn Teth"] indicated that he had visions. Not all Force users had them, and those that did mostly considered that a burden. Whichever side Aryn fell on that, she wasn't sure. Of course he could've heard of the visions from others, much like there heresay.

She sipped her tea as he did, then listened to his concerns. Darkness did surround the Galaxy, but there was Light too. Her pocket of the Galaxy was safe, untouched, and has her reach expanded, so too did those worlds gain safety too.

Kay nodded as he let out his theories as to how Ra could've returned, the first being the most likely answer. Aryn was smart, and unlike other Jedi, he didn't seek to destroy that which he felt was dangerous, but first to understand and learn. That was what seperated him from many others. It's what will keep him alive.

"There are some Mandalorians that don't follow Ra. Have you reached out to them? Or is it too dangerous, given their civil war? And as to your theories on just how Ra managed to come back, I believe that Sith sorcery could very well be the answer. I know of a few people that I could ask about such a thing and what goes into it without raising any suspicions. That is the bonus to having a neutral government."

She clenched her jaw as she rested her free hand on her belly. After the Contingency, the last thing that the Galaxy needed was genocidal Crusades. The previous ones were stopped, but at what cost? "This Praxeum teaches all aspects of the Force. The library here contains all aspects of knowledge. You are welcome to check our sources there for some insight."

With another long sip, Aryn found his cup empty, the Jedi reaching over to gently set it beside him as he watched Kay, carefully linking his fingers together in a pensive manner. He had not even noticed the raise of her eyebrow at his own indication of visions, Aryn had blocked out any of his force powers for so long and sought to avoid any knowledge of them, now that he finally embraced them, the visions he'd seen seemed to him just as common as telekinisis. He nodded his head as Kay gave her own assumption, he had believed that among his considerations, Sith Sorcery could have been the most likely, but it was perhaps the solution he hoped least was true. Only more questions sprung to his mind as he considered it, who had done so, and indeed who had the power to revive the old Mandalore? Had they acted alone, had it been a group or even an entire faction's doing? And what was their goal?

He shook his head somberly at her question, sighing as he leaned back. "I've gone to a great deal of effort so far to avoid speaking too openly with anyone about this, especially any Mandalorians - if some Sith Sorceror was indeed behind this, I would prefer to stay off their radar for as long as possible, less they return to the sites and erase what little traces there may be." He commented pointedly. Though he had figured speaking to the Mandalorians may eventually become a necessity. They would know better than any group in the galaxy perhaps where it was Ra had fallen, even just that information would give him an idea, a clear place to look. He did offer the slightest hint of a smile at her own offer, however. "If you did have contacts, perhaps that would be worthwhile, queries from someone who at least once knew Ra, and certainly someone not so openly a Jedi as I was, would probably raise far less eyebrows." He gave almost a knowing look as he spoke. It had taken some time, but the isolation of her office had allowed Aryn to focus, to locate that small nut which was her force signature. Had they remained outside or among such an open flow of force users, he may never have noticed it.

"As for the archives, I do certainly appreciate your permission, my own search through more public records has been less than fruitful, and I have heard the Praxeum's records are quite impressive."

Kay-Larr

Kay nodded. [member="Aryn Teth"] was being very discreet in his investigation. Luckily there were no Mandalorians around, save herself, although she never really counted herself as one. Most especially after she married Veiere, the mere act in her mind that pulled her away from the Raxis Clan. Whether or not that was true, she didn't know. But it was possible.

Her brows then furrowed as Aryn seemed to imply that she was a Jedi. Her Force signature was shrunken down. How did he know? The look on his face told her enough that he knew. If Kay wasn't a bad liar, she would've told him that it was the Force flowing through her child that he felt. But instead she said nothing. Yes she was in a private room, but still, she preferred to be completely isolated before such a subject would be spoken of. It was far too dangerous for her secret to come out. Force Users in such positions of power were not trusted and she couldn't give powerful governments reasons to take her out. Plus, it was an ace up her sleeve in times of danger, a means to help her escape when trapped in a cage. Given that she wasn't the strongest physically, she needed something else to give her the upper hand.

"I will be careful with who I ask and I know of certain ways to inquire without raising suspicions." She sipped her tea, having not quite finished with hers yet. "Our records are not half bad. I'm sure that Temples elsewhere are more extensive and have much more rare texts, but what we have has been enough for the people that reside here."

Kay tapped her fingers on her cup. "The military industrial complex is never without the means of making credits. I'm sure that they have a hand in this. But more than likely it is someone wanting to target those that Ra will be targeting. The lastvCrusades dealt with the Republic, but they fell a long time ago. So who's next? If Ra's side were to win their civil war, who would be next?"

Though he was briefly taken aback by Kay's reaction to his off-hand comment in regards to her secret, he wasn't surprised by it, he had gathered that she wished to keep it a secret, hence the effort she'd gone to in hiding her signature. However, Aryn was determined to remain as open as he could with Kay. While he had been ultimately discreet in his investigations until that point, he knew well enough that he would need allies, especially with the kind of things he was getting into. If only he knew just how deep this particular rabbit hole went. He nodded his head slowly as she assured him that her own investigations would be discreet. He appreciated that kay appeared to be so willing to help him, but he assumed that she now held many of the same concerns he did for the Mandalorians, and for Ra Vizsla in particular.

At her next question he sighed, scratching at his chin thoughtfully for a moment as he sat back in his chair. "That's the million-credit question, isn't it? Ra Vizsla has always made an enemy of force users, and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be the target of his next crusade. However..." He paused, thinking again for a moment. "If he were perhaps indebted to or bound by some Sith Sorceror for his own resurrection, then he may not be targeting those who practice the dark side, and that would mean his eyes are set on the Silver Jedi, the Alliance, and indeed, this very Praxeum and it's students." He did not have to stretch for the grim tone in his voice. He found with everything he said he hoped he was wrong, he hoped desperately that things were not so dire as they could have been, that his visions, his suspicions and his investigations were all wrong.

"Or perhaps he'll turn and bite the hand that's fed him, maybe this whole civil war has served as some charade, or has some other puppet master we can't see. Until we know who's brought Ra back, we can only suspect their motives, as for Ra - I can only begin to assume. You at least knew the man - if he can be called that - you would surely have a better idea than me."

Kay-Larr

Kay frowned ever so slightly as [member="Aryn Teth"] gave his thoughts on who Ra could set his sights on next. It was disturbing to think that the Sith would use him for a tool to destroy their enemies. But her little corner of space had no enemies. They were safe, weren't they? An afterthought, given that they don't have anything of value, nor do they plunge themselves into someone elses war.

But how long would that last?

"I didn't know him very well. Outside of Gray's trial, I never saw him. We spoke very little outside of that. Despite...how brutal he is, he does have some semblence of an honour code. He guaranteed my safety during the trial, and that was never broken. Whether or not this resurrected Ra is the same way, remains to be seen." She didn't want to reach out to Ra using the same channels as before, at least not yet. It was too dangerous to remind the Mandalorian that Commenor even existed. Their need for information wasn't that great yet. Such bold actions didn't need to be taken yet.

"Do you have a place to stay while you are here? I'm sure that there are spare rooms available."

Nodding his head slowly, Aryn sighed quietly as he considered Kay's words. Most Mandalorians he knew of did hold to their honour codes, and it was almost pleasant to have some reassurance that they would not be dealing with someone who was solely a monster, but Aryn needed to remind himself that he may have changed entirely. Aryn had no idea just how deep whatever sorcery had brought Ra back ran, whether it had seeped into his core and changed the man entirely, or if it had just returned him to life and nothing else, Aryn had no clue. In truth, Aryn hoped never to find out for himself just what Ra was like in person, he had devoted himself to investigation, but stopping or fighting against Ra Viszla was not his goal if it could be avoided, in fact, it was the very thing he hoped to prevent.

As he heard her offer, Aryn spared a gentle smile, and initially moved to decline, however thought stayed his words. He had nowhere else to stay on Commenor, and with the Praxeum being the distance it was from anywhere he could comfortably find accommodation, he would have been better off sleeping on his ship, something which in itself was sure to be uncomfortable, as was the deficit to only owning a starfighter. Smiling again, he brought his gaze back up to meet hers. "I hadn't had a chance to organise anywhere to stay before I came, though if there are rooms I wouldn't say no to the invitation, so long as I would not be inconveniencing you. Any more than I already have, that is."

Kay-Larr

Kay gave [member="Aryn Teth"] a smile and a light shake of her head. "You're not inconveniencing me at all. On the contrary, you have given me something to do when I'll no longer be able to travel, which could be in the next couple of months." She hoped that in that time she'd be able to hide away in the home that Veiere had built for them in the mountains. Most of her Ministers and assistants would be able to take care of most of their stately affairs, with Veiere seeing to the most pressing of matters. But it was hard to guess how long that would last.

She finished off the rest of her tea and set the cup down before getting to her feet. "Come, I will show you to your room and then take you on a tour of the grounds." Kay started to the door. There was much more that she wanted to speak of, more importantly about her secret connection to the Force. But such a topic was best left for an area where she felt completely safe and less paranoid about being spied upon. She knew well that the First Order were keeping tabs on herself and her husband. She just wasn't sure of the extent of their methods that were being used.

At her initial comment, Aryn couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. "Well then, I am pleased to have given you something to do." As she moved to stand he moved with her, pushing himself up to his feet as he began to follow her towards the door. "I would appreciate that, otherwise I'm sure I'd be certain to get lost." He gave a gentle smile as he followed Kay out of her office, waiting for her to close the door as he took another glance around. He watched a few students as they passed by, hearing the idle conversation of others in the halls as he gently clasped his hands behind his back. As his robes shifted backwards, the lack of any sort of lightsaber was more clear around his belt, though Aryn certainly made no effort to hide it. He had had a difficult relationship with the force, and certainly his training up until that point had been far from conventional by any means.

As he followed Kay through the halls of the Praxeum, his eyes continued to wander about, and for a time he found it almost a shame that he had never been privy to any training or education in such a place. Yet, Aryn had made his decision firmly, and for so long, to push away his connection to the force, to deny it. Indeed, that very act had once saved his life, yet in recent days, and with the galaxy the way it had become, he could push it away no longer. Now, he had resolved to do all he could to learn and train, and now with this new goal he knew even more the importance of it. It was abundantly clear to Aryn that he lacked strength in his training, he had been told more than once of what he could be, of the capabilities and potential that the force had in mind for him if he had taken training. Yet, such potentials were lost on Aryn, and tapping into them even more so. He knew all too well the dangers of this investigation he had now dragged Kay into, whether they were dealing with the mandalorians alone, or certainly if they were dealing with Sith Sorcerors, dangers lay down the path, but until he knew more, he was certainly not yet capable of surpassing perhaps any of them. He sighed as he walked alongside Kay, shaking the thoughts from his mind as he realized he had been silent for some time, turning back towards her with a smile as they walked, as if to hide his thoughts.

Oh yes, getting lost was easy. Especially in a new place. Kay led [member="Aryn Teth"] out of her office, closing the door behind her. From there she showed him up to the level that had the guest rooms, including the one that he was to use. From there she showed him the rest of the building, everything from the washrooms to the mess hall, to the classrooms, meditation rooms and training areas. She even showed him the library where most of the books and records were kept.

Kay bowed her head with those that passed them by, some of which were younglings that seemed a bit star-struck. Some even asked about [member="Veiere Arenais"] , to which she would tell them a quick tale about the Jedi Order.and all of the great work he was doing with them. She introduced Aryn to all of the right people, letting it be known of the access granted to him as her guest.

Finally, with all of the interior done, Kay led Aryn outside. Her pace slowed a little as she began to tire out a bit, but she didn't mention it. "Just a little bit further." As Aryn was lost in his thoughts, so too was she. She hadn't thought of [member="Gray Raxis"] in some time due to multiple circumstances, and she thought even less of Ra. But now she had to think of them again and quite possibly to see both of them. Hopefully everything would be okay.

Now well outside of the courtyard and into the forest where the younglings training at the Praxeum couldn't be heard, Kay stopped and sat herself down on a fallen log. She looked up at Aryn, her features showing just a tinge of anxiety. "I don't know how, but in my office...you discovered my secret. How did you do it? How did you know that it wasn't coming from the child within me?" She knew that the child growing within her was Force sensitive, but how else could he have known? Was she losing her focus? Hopefully there was some other explanation.

Interacting With: [member='Lady Kay']

As Aryn followed Kay closely, he took mental notes of the Praxeum's layout, forming the mental map in his mind of everywhere, particularly the library, where he imagined he'd be spending the majority of his time. As they walked, Aryn found himself somewhat amused by the younglings who approached their queen, asking questions about her husband. He had considered approaching Veiere about the same issues he had now been discussing with Kay, but he had his reasons for seeking out the Queen instead. Whether or not her husband did indeed end up being dragged into their investigation, or indeed, any of the work which may have come of it, that would remain to be seen. As he was introduced to people, Aryn ensured he was the perfect guest, polite and charming with those he spoke to. He had no concerns or questions as he continued to follow Kay outside, and out into the forest.

As they found their quiet spot, and Aryn watched Kay take a seat on the log, he noticed the features across her face, and his smile faded at her question. Sighing, he crossed his arms over his chest, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "It's difficult to explain, and to be perfectly honest with you, I don't understand it entirely." He paced briefly as he thought. In the time since Aryn had embraced his force powers, he had learned very little of his own, more unique capabilities, and so having to explain them was more difficult than he would have liked. "I'm sure you're familiar with the idea of force bonds? Normally, from what I've learned, these only really develop between apprentice and master, or those who truly understand eachother. For some reason I can't really explain, I'm capable of naturally creating these bonds, even if it's only temporary. It lets me feel the force flowing through others better than most." He sighed as he stopped pacing, looking back towards her as he shrugged. "I still know very little of it, I have struggled to find any writing on this ability, and I have no idea how I acquired it in the first place. But it was through that that I knew, I can feel the force flowing through your child, but it flows differently within you." He sighed and shook his head, shrugging once more. "I can assure you though, your secret is safe with me, and as far as I've learned, I don't expect there are many others who could learn the way I did, with this same ability, so hopefully you needn't concern yourself with that."

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay watched as [member="Aryn Teth"] began to pace, struggling to find the right words to explain how he had made his discovery. She didn't press him at all, allowing him the time that he needed. There had been times when she had struggled with words too. Her speeches were never rewritten. They were always spoken on the fly.

She nodded as he spoke of Force bonds, having first hand experience with them through the bond that she shared with her husband. It enabled them to be able to communicate without being noticed by others. And their wedding rings helped to enhance that bond, giving them the ability to communicate over great distances.

But what Aryn spoke of was unheard of, at least by her. To be able to create Force bonds with just about anyone and with no real effort was truly unique. Perhaps her husband would know more. Or the answers could be found in the library. "Maybe the answers to your abilities can be discovered here. It could give you something else to look for when you need a break from looking into Ra."

Kay was glad to hear that her child's Force energy was different than her own. She had fallen for a time, forced into Darkness through months of abduction and never-ending torture. Only through falling did she have any hope to escape. And with Veiere's help, he brought her back to the Light, restoring all that was lost. Commenor and it's people and flourished ever since. Without Veiere she'd be lost.

"Thank you for keeping my secret. As you can imagine, politics and the Force don't mix very well. There is a great amount of mistrust. I was fired from the Republic Senate when the Chancellor was informed, barred from working in the government for life. I was jailed and nearly executed for it. So as you can see...I'm not exactly comfortable with others finding out."

She folded her hands on her lap. "You spoke of visions earlier. Would you mind sharing them? There could be details that could help in finding out more about Ra." And how to defeat him, to send him back to where he belongs.
