Even though Lilin was in a difficult emotional and mental state at that very moment, she thought she would still be able to take on a Padawan. She would give the young initiate everything she could and would most likely learn a lot from them. So in a matter of days, Lilin had been assigned a Padawan in the Jedi Order and she didn't have anything against it.She herself had been on the planet of Kashyyyk for a while, treating people who had been attacked with a bioweapon by a pirate gang. She and the rest of the Jedi on the mission had been doing fine, but the amount of people who required help became larger every day, so Lilin had invited her new Padawan to join her on the mission.
And indeed, the girl was supposed to arrive there with an additional patch of medical resources. Lilin wasn't a healer herself, but she did have some guarding and fighting responsibilities in the Jedi camp. She was also responsible for investigating the whole pirate gang thing.
Because as it turned out, the gang was not going to stop their horrible massacres.
The Jedi had seen many dead people during the few days they'd been on the planet and with every new day, they saw only more of them. The Rogue Knight had a general idea of who the gang was and where they hid, but getting there required a little bit of manpower.
That's where she thought she'd take her Padawan along. If it would have been too difficult of a task or too dangerous, she wouldn't take her. But if her presumptions were correct, the gang was just a bunch of wannabe terrorists and were already running out of bioweapons and resources.
But that would have to happen once the Padawan was there.
Until then, Lilin stood in front of the camp, not thinking about her depression for once, and waited patiently. She knew the girl would arrive in a matter of minutes now.
