Description: Because hot metals need to be messed with... Say hello to the HAVOC Magma Cannon as Heavy Weapon designed by Saverok and produced by Iscariot Industries. The Cannon at its simplest form is powered slug thrower that uses large super heated slugs to cause much damage. Slugs shot from the HAVOC magma cannon are "Refined" within the internals of the gun by two sources. A thermobaric air pressure system and Electric arc chamber both powered by a single SA-XVA powercell. The two internal parts work in conjunction giving the Weapon its name sake. Magma. The Slugs are quickly and steadily heated to an extreme heat which we have capped off at 6000° F for best potential. I know what your thinking.. Wont that melt the gun? Well no. The Cannon is constructed from Reinforced Duraplast, Duranium and Dallorian Alloy. It is very hearty, now for firing system. Launched out of the barrel with use Magnetic fields similar to verpine shatter weapons, though not as penetrating. Penetration never was the aim for HAVOC Magma Cannon, instead heat was. Slugs fired are molten hot subject to splattering residue on contact and has the possibility to ignite it on fire depending on the material hit. Just imagine the effect it might have on armored robes? Hehe. The slugs have the potential to melt other armors but dont get any hopes up when facing something like Beskar or Phrik plating, Best it can do there is cause a large amount of kinetic damage. The weapon is rather loud and holds a strong kick which can be expected since its a Heavy Weapon. Best works with larger species but that is not to say humanoids cant wield it. Humanoids can by all means use it but majority of the time they will need some source of physical augmentation.
Those who survive initial hits from the weapon are left to worry or be surprised by it other affects it leaves. The molten slug is not plesant by any means and has the chance to slowly slide off armor. The sheer heat of the magma is enough to cook a man in his armor and the fumes produced by the hot substance is toxic and can shear a persons lungs. Both side effects of the super heated round will have little effect on opponets using Insulated armor that contains some type of cooling system to handle the heat and air scrubbers to handle the toxic fumes.
The ammo cap holds at 15 slugs, Low but decent of a Heavy Weapon. Also lets not forget its powersource the SA-XVA powercell. Both must be maintained in order for the cannon to function best. Low ammo is a mundane problem compared to forgetting about replacing the powercell on the side of the weapon. The Powercell will last you roughly 7 shots before replacement is needed, So dont be that guy who forgets.
A dangerous and most likely illegal weapon. The cannon is planned to sell on a closed market to the preferred.
