Private Harmony Among the Stars

The doors to the observation lounge slid open with a soft hiss, and Iandre Athlea stepped inside. The room was quiet, washed in the cool starlight pouring through the broad viewport. Aurora Station drifted in the silence of space—a perfect meeting place for what felt like two worlds converging.

Jayna was the first she saw.

The girl brightened the moment their eyes met, that familiar spark of curiosity and eagerness warming the room in a way even the lighting could not. Iandre's expression softened instantly.

"Jayna," she greeted gently, "it is good to see you again."

Then her gaze shifted to the man beside her.

Jaxon Thio carried himself with the unmistakable steadiness of someone who had spent a lifetime balancing the Force, duty, and responsibility. He was taller than she expected, radiating a quiet strength she understood immediately.

Iandre stepped forward and offered a respectful bow of the head before extending her hand.

"Master Thio," she said with composed sincerity, "I am Second Lieutenant Iandre Athlea of the Lilaste Order…and a newly knighted Jedi of the Diarchy."

She straightened, meeting his gaze with calm honesty.

"It is an honor to meet you finally. Jayna has spoken of you with great affection—and no small amount of pride."

A faint smile touched her lips before she stepped aside and motioned toward the seating area near the stars.

"Please—both of you—make yourselves comfortable. I'm glad you agreed to meet. Aurora Station is… complex. Important. And it will be easier to explain with all of us together."

She walked with them toward the light-dappled chairs, the soft hum of the station filling the momentary silence.

"And while you are here," she added gently, "consider me your point of contact for anything you may need—information, access, guidance. I am at your disposal."

With a steady breath, she folded her hands loosely.

"I hope today will be the beginning of something beneficial for all of us."

Jayna hadn't spent much time on Aurora Station previously. Just enough to get the lay of the land and learn a little bit about the Order that called it home. Jayna being a typical teenager managed to space out and forget a good amount of the details of what was shown her. Jayna had become much more focused on her tour guide. Not like a crush. More like hero worship. Ian had fought and was able to do her own thing. She was a lot of what Jayna wanted to be.

Jayna knew that her father could probably teach her the things she needed to know to do that. If she needed more nuanced talents, Jayna's mother would certainly help. She didn't know what to expect when she heard the hiss of the door opening. Dad was much more important that Jayna was. A Jedi Master might even warrant a visit from the head of the Order. But when Jayna looked up she saw Ian and was quite excited.

"Ian! I'm so glad that you are the one to meet with us," Jayna blurted out. It wasn't the first time she had seen Ian since the first visit to the station, but now her dad could see how great Ian was, and maybe let Jayna train some with her and the others in the Lilaste Order. Iandre introduced herself before Jayna could do the honors. Probably a good thing, Jayna wasn't sure what sort of crazy statement might come out her mouth if it was up to her. She smiled as Ian added that she was a knighted Jedi. That would do even more to secure her dad's acceptance.

Jayna was slow skipping as Ian led them to the sitting area of the lounge. There was no way that she was going to be able to sit and be calm. This was her chance to hopefully train a little with someone her dad would respect and trust. Maybe Ian would be able to convince her dad that Jayna was ready to build her lightsaber. "Thanks Ian. I know Dad will be impressed with the station."

Jayna turned to her dad with a huge grin on her lips. "Ian is the one who showed me around the station the first time I visited. She knows it all. We'll really get a feel for what the station and the Lilaste Order are all about."
