Weapon Description
Description: Bowcasters are cool they can send stormtroopers flying and are generally useful for providing comic relief in an otherwise serious situation. But what's not cool about them is their size and for the most part their unwieldy build that they have for most average sized humanoids. So the Harker Class is designed to eliminate these problems while sacrificing a fair amount of power that the original had.
Strengths. This is a perfect lightweight weapon for hunters who need to move quickly and use different types of bolts to either track their prey or eliminate targets. The Harker is all about mobility and quickness for when you're in the field. But down to the nitty gritty of the weapon it's built tough and to last in stressful conditions along with a hard hitting durasteel bolt encased in plasma, it's made to puncture the toughest of beast hide and if used against armored opponents then it can tackle most medium to heavy systems at least from a kinetic damage standpoint. While it might not pierce a set of heavy armor the hit from it is capable of causing internal damage.
Weaknesses. The Harker lacks the traditional range and power of your standard wookie Bowcaster, it's more compact and a bit weaker but it can still do the job. But despite the weaker power it still has a very heavy kick to it, so if you are firing this with one hand then please be warned while it has the capacity to do so if you don't control its kick it can fly up and break your nose so be very cautious when handling. Other issues it has is its lack of ammunition only having fifteen bolts per quarrel of bolts. So try not to waste all the ammo in one go. It can also suffer from Ion/EMP based attacks and if is struck by one you will lose the plasma and magnetic acceleration encased bolts and you'll be stuck with an otherwise meh crossbow with a range that's almost cut in half.
Summary. A great tool for a hunter or human who just enjoys bowcasters but doesn't have the strength to use it. It's lightweight, highly mobile, and deadly when used within its range and permitters. Please use this weapon safely and responsibly.
