Description: Over the course of several battles during the Tournament of the Cauldron, Triam Akovin had to fight a number of Force Users, many of them Masters. However, almost every time her superior technologies had been rendered useless by electrical discharge. She found out to protect herself from that discharge, using an additional under armor type that would protect her from the damaging effects of electricity was neccissary. However, she still had to deal with the inherent weakness of her own armor: it was a superconductor, and so long as she wore it her electronics were vulnerable to electrical attack, which could also melt all of the armor at once into a heap of slag.
To combat this, she decided she would put her armor's superconductivity to good use, and created a wire system that would absorb the electricity coursing through her armor and other various technology's and transfer it all to a central storage device. Obviously these components are still vulnerable to overload and damage, but in the next paragraph it should explain why this is unlikely to happen.
Using the energy collected from an electrical attack, the storage device transfers the energy to one more device before it is put to good use. The H.E.R.D. Laser (protected by a small plate of phrik in order to prevent it from being critically damaged, and also to provide a less fragile medium [as compared to the easily melted Ultrachrome]) collects the energy and prepares to disperse it in a renewed energy attack sent through the Phrik plate. The prep period between energy collection and dispersal requires a minimum of 10 seconds of electrical absorption, which results in a one second laser discharge. The laser, due to the nature of its fruition from pure electrical manifestation, cannot be deflected, but can be dissipated into harmless energy when coming into contact with a physical substance or energy barrier that prevents its continued path of destruction (i.e. lightsaber resistant materials, hardy materials such as a ludicrous amount of durasteel, ray shield, etc.); lightsabers are capable of splitting the beam (and thus dramatically reducing its power), but the size of the ray is such that such a tactic would become dangerous to the saber wielder, as a single mistake in the bisecting of the beam could be hazardous to ones health.
A major weakness in the design is the chance that an energy attack may overload energy collection units thus rendering them useless, and reducing the beam attacks power to the point of becoming impractical. Though this is dangerous for the person attempting to overload the collectors as the more energy applied to the laser, the longer and stronger the dispersal beam. The units would have to be overloaded with a tremendous amount of energy in a very short and limited burst to prove effective. Additionally, on the actual Phrik plate where the beam is dispersed, it is full of minutiae chinks (the refraction points of the beam generator) that might allow a particularly adept and dexterous telekinesis user to jam something into its components and destroy the beam generator. This though, is highly unlikely in a combat situation.
Lastly, the beam is incapable of being produced without a recent energy attack to circulate the stored energy. If energy is collected and not used within a five minute period, the energy is lost and cannot produce a beam. Additionally, it is not capable of preventing electrical damage to specific technological components it is not attached to.
